1. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Practitioner Ms. Geng Yongxia Taken into Custody
Practitioner Ms. Geng Yongxia was turned in to the police when she was clarifying the truth at work. Around 9:20 p.m. on August 23, 2007, officers from the Port Police Department in Lianyungang City took her into custody. The officers searched her home and confiscated truth-clarification materials, Falun Dafa books, tapes for Falun Gong exercises, the Chinese edition of "Clearwisdom Weekly", and other items.
2. [Hulunbeir City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Wang Guiyan Unlawfully Detained Again
Ms. Wang Guiyan, 35, lives in Hulunbeir City in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. She had been taken into custody four times for refusing to renounce Falun Dafa. She has been placed under surveillance by the local state security police for an extended period of time. On August 8, 2007, Ms. Wang was unlawfully detained again and held in the Chenqi area. The police also searched her home.
3. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Mr. Xie Zhenhai and His Family Taken into Custody
On or around August 25, 2007, officers from the Xingfu Police Station in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, unlawfully took into custody Mr. Xie Zhenhai, his niece Ms. Xie Bing and her husband, his relative Mr. Xie Qiang and his wife, and his younger brother.
The officer at the Xingfu Police Station set up a trap asking Mr. Xie Zhenhai's older brother to bring them 6,000 yuan in cash. They took him into custody and confiscated the cash.

4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Ms. Wu Bilin Tortured at a Brainwashing Center
Ms. Wu Bilin, a practitioner from Wuhan City, Hubei Province, has been on hunger strike for days at the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center. Each day, the officials force-feed her vinegar mixed with hot pepper sauce. Ms. Wu was also severely beaten.
5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Ms. Gu Sanqun Taken into Custody
On August 2, 2007, Ms. Gu Sanqun, a practitioner from Dongxihu District in Wuhan City, was distributing truth-clarification materials in a residential community. She was videotaped by a security camera and unlawfully detained. After being held for fifteen days at the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center, she has been transferred to a brainwashing center.

6. [Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Young Practitioner Ms. Cheng Taken into Custody
On August 21, 2007, a dozen or so police officers led by Yang Jinpu (male), head of the Quanshan District 610 Office, took young practitioner Ms. Cheng into custody at her older sister's home.
7. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Cui Shengyun Unlawfully Sentenced to Prison
On the afternoon of August 28, 2007, the Xiangyang District Court in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province unlawfully put Ms. Cui Shenyun on trial to sentence her to prison.
8. [Baise City, Guangxi] Practitioner Ms. Huang Feiyan Taken to a Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Huang Feiyan, in her fifties, is a practitioner from Youjiang District in Bai'se City, Guangxi Autonomous Region of the Zhuang Nationality. In April 2007, officers from the Tianyang County Police Department took her into custody. She has been unlawfully taken to a forced labor camp.

10. [Beijing] Practitioner Ms. Chang Chunfen Unlawfully Taken into Custody
On August 17, 2007, Ms. Chang Chunfen was videotaped while distributing truth-clarification materials and posting signs. She was taken away from her home in Haidian District, Beijing. Her whereabouts are unknown.
11. [Beijing] Practitioner Mr. Wang Hongwei Taken into Custody
Mr. Wang Hongwei, a practitioner from Tongzhou District in Beijing, served four years in prison for distributing truth-clarification emails in an Internet cafe in 2001. He was held at the Qianjin Prison and released in 2005.
On August 15, 2007, Mr. Wang went to the Guanzhuang area to distribute truth-clarification materials. He was taken into custody and held at the Changying Detention Center in Chaoyang District, Beijing. The police also searched his home.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Ms. Zhou Ruyi Taken into Custody
Around 4:00 p.m. on August 22, 2007, six officers from the Chenjiaji Police Station in Jiang'an District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province suddenly broke into Ms. Zhou Ruyi's home. The officers took away Falun Dafa books and took Ms. Zhou to the Baibuting Detention Center in Jiang'an District, Wuhan City.
13. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Ms. Zhong Zhiqing Taken into Custody
On the afternoon of August 13, 2007, Ms. Zhong Zhiqing, 57, a practitioner from Long'an Town in Xindu District, was taken away by officers from the Xinfan Town Police Station. Ms. Zhong is being held at the Xindu District Detention Center.

14. [Xuyong County, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Ms. Ding Linglin Taken into Custody
Ms. Ding Linglin, in her sixties, is a practitioner from Xuyong County, Sichuan Province. On August 28, 2007, she went to Huang'ni Township to clarify the truth. The police took her into custody upon receiving reports. Ms. Ding is being held at the county detention center.

15. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Ms. Wan Dexiang Taken into Custody
On August 22, 2007, officers from the Wanjia Town Police Station in Pingdu City broke into practitioner Ms. Wan Dexiang's home. Ms. Wan was taken to a detention center.
16. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Ms. Shen Xiaodu Unlawfully Held at a Brainwashing Center
On the evening of August 3, 2007, practitioner Ms. Shen Xiaodu was taken into custody. She was held at the Pi County Detention Center. On August 17, she was transferred to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center.
17. [Beijing] Practitioner Ms. Xu Tianrong and Others Taken into Custody
On the afternoon of August 12, 2007, officers from the Pingfang Police Station forcibly took Ms. Xu Tianrong away from her home in the Pingfang area in Chaoyang District, Beijing. The police also took into custody her family members and practitioner Ms. Li Cuibin.
18. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Mr. Wang Baozhong Unlawfully Arrested
On October 12, 2005, practitioner Mr. Wang Baozhong gave a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to Wang Weiping (male), director of the factory Mr. Wang Baozhong worked at. The director turned him in to the police. Mr. Wang Baozhong was taken into custody by the Qingshan Police Station. He has remained in custody for over two years in the Hanyang area in Wuhan City, Hubei Province.

20. [Tongling City, Anhui Province] Practitioner Ms. Wang Yun Taken into Custody
On August 25, 2007, Ms. Wang Yun, a practitioner in Tongling City, Anhui Province, was forcibly taken away by officers from the city's police department and members of the 610 Office. The officers also searched her home and confiscated some Falun Dafa books and truth-clarification materials. Ms. Wang is being held at the Tongling City Detention Center.

21. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Practitioners Ms. Liu Qiaozhen and Ms. Sun Jingsu Taken into Custody
At 2:00 a.m. on August 29, 2007, officers from the Jiacun Township Police Station in Wangdu County, Baoding City climbed over the wall and broke into the homes of Ms. Liu Qiaozhen and Ms. Sun Jingmei. The officers searched the practitioners' homes and took them into custody. The officers confiscated a satellite antenna, Falun Dafa materials, portraits of the founder of Falun Gong, cellular phones, an MP4 player, and other items. Ms. Liu is being held at the county detention center. Ms. Sun's whereabouts are unknown.

On the morning of August 16, 2007, officers from the Dayukou Police Department and the Dongqu Police Station in Jingmen City arrested practitioner Ms. Guo Yunfang, 69, at her home.

26. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yue Wenhua, Mr. Gao Zhijun and Another Practitioner Taken into Custody
Around noon on August 23, 2007, seven police officers from the Nanchong City State Security Division, the Shunqing District State Security Division, and the Shunqing District 610 Office broke into practitioner Ms. Yue Wenhua's home on Ximenba Street. The officers took into custody Ms. Yue, Ms. Gao Zhijun, and a practitioner from out of town. Ms. Gao's home was also unlawfully searched.
27. [Anguo City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Mr. Cui Hu Taken into Custody
On the evening of August 28, 2007, officers from the Baoding City Police Department, in association with those from the Anguo City State Security Division, followed and then took into custody practitioner Mr. Cui Hu. The officers confiscated two personal computers and a dozen printers.
28. [Gulin County, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Ms. Zhou Mozhen Unlawfully Detained
On the afternoon of August 27, 2007, Zou Qiang (male) and other officers from the State Security Division of the Gulin Police Department unlawfully searched practitioner Ms. Zhou Mozhen's home. The officers took away Falun Dafa books, truth-clarification materials, DVDs, and other items. Ms. Zhou was taken to the Gulin Detention Center.

29. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Fourteen Practitioners Taken into Custody
On the evening of June 30, 2007, the State Security Division, the police, the armed police, and the 610 Office in Chengde City sent out over 100 police officers to forcibly take into custody 14 practitioners: Ms. Zhao Baoli, Ms. Li Ying, Ms. Cao Ziping, Mr. Zhao Zhiqiang, Mr. Fan Lixin, Ms. Bian Xiaoyun, Ms. Cai Shuhai, Mr. Han Zhiqiang, Ms. Zhou Yanchun, Mr. Liu Jinxin, Ms. Yang Shuqin and her daughter, Ms. Zhao Guizhi, and Ms. Zhao Haihui. The practitioners were held at detention centers in various counties. Ms. Zhao Baoli, Ms. Li Ying, Ms. Cao Ziping, and Ms. Bian Xiaoyun have been transferred to Tangshan City.

31. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Persecution of Mr. Bi Kefu's Family
Around noon on August 14, 2007, officers from the Wafangdian City Police Department, in association with those from the Laohutun Police Station, arrived at Furong Village in the Laohutun area. The officers took Mr. Bi Kefu, his wife Ms. Zhao Shudong, and their daughter Ms. Bi Qin to the Wafangdian City Detention Center.

32. [Gejiu City, Yunnan Province] Persecution of Ms. Zhao Guixian
Ms. Zhang Guixian, a practitioner from Gejiu City, Yunnan Province, started practicing Falun Dafa in 2002. In 2003, Ms. Zhang Guixian was followed while she was clarifying the truth. She had been forced to stay away from her home for over a year.
On March 10, 2007, Ms. Zhang went to the prefecture government's family quarters in Honghe Prefecture to distribute truth-clarification materials. Officers from the Gejiu City Police Department took her into custody upon receiving reports. Ms. Zhang Guixian is being held at a detention center.
33. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Numerous Cases of Persecution
The following practitioners have been unlawfully put on trial or sentenced to prison in 2007:
Ms. Li Yuhua, from Shahekou District, was sentenced to four years in prison
by the Shahekou District Court.
Mr. Zhang Chengjun, from Shahekou District, tried at the Zhangshan District
Court in July 2007.
Mr. Xue Xinkai, from Ganjingzi District, was sentenced to seven years in prison
by Ganjingzi District Court.
Mr. Cong Wei, from Ganjingzi District, was sentenced to eighteen months in
prison by the Ganjingzi District Court (Mr. Cong is to appeal).
Mr. Guan Yue, from the High and New Technology Development District, was
sentenced to three years in prison by the Shahekou District Court (Mr. Guan has
filed an appeal).
Ms. Sun Chunrong, from Zhuanghe City, was sentenced to seven years in prison by
the Zhuanghe City Court (Ms. Sun has filed an appeal).
