(Clearwisdom.net) For the last eight years the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has never stopped their persecution of Falun Gong, especially in mainland China. They use all the available state dictatorship machinery to suppress people and manipulate the judicial system to carry out this unlawful persecution, and at the same time launch specific attacks and tell lies to incite the Chinese people to hate Falun Gong. Overseas, the CCP has dispatched large numbers of spies to engage in shameful conduct and at the same time spread lies that the CCP has not persecuted practitioners of Falun Gong. Furthermore, they use financial interests as a lever to manipulate governments of various countries around the world, thus attempting to isolate Falun Gong's global, anti-persecution voices and activities.
Hong Kong was handed over to the Chinese Communist regime in 1997. It is actually more appropriate to say that Hong Kong has fallen into the hands of the enemy. Since then, the agreement "One country - two systems" reflects the CCP's urgent desire of gain and its vanity of eagerly taking over power and controlling Hong Kong. This has placed Hong Kong in a state of being half fallen. Though the despotic CCP regime may be able to tolerate the nomenclature "one country, two systems," how could it possibly tolerate the reality of "one country, two systems?"
From the very beginning, the term "One country, two systems" has been a CCP ruse. It is a system the CCP originally created that they feel is perfectly justifiable. However, since the term has always been a fig leaf to cover their shameful conduct, this fig leaf has from time to time giving off a foul smell. It is well known that there was no "one country, two systems" policy when the Berlin Wall collapsed. On the Korean peninsula there are still two countries and two systems. During the past ten years, the CCP regime has exhibited mixed feelings of love and hatred over the "one country, two systems." They love it because they are finally able to interfere with Hong Kong, and they hate it because they still cannot totally control Hong Kong.
Thanks to the "one country, two systems," the CCP's illegal persecution of Falun Gong in Hong Kong has been effectively restricted where people can still enjoy the freedom to practice Falun Gong, and still have the right to expose how the CCP has persecuted Falun Gong in Mainland China. People are free to distribute the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" to expose the evil nature of the CCP, and free to display banners with the words, "Heaven Will Eliminate the CCP; Quit the Party to Save Yourself." The CCP had never dreamed of such happenings in 1997.
If we mutually invert both dates, say, the persecution started on July 1, 1997 and Hong Kong was handed over on July 20, 1999, then the idea of "one country, two systems" would not even exist, because the CCP would absolutely not tolerate seeing any legal presence of Falun Gong anywhere under its jurisdiction. As a matter of fact, Falun Gong is still legal in China as well. The illegality and the abuse of law truly lie with the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong.
Because of Falun Gong, the CCP hates "one country, two systems" more than it loves it. This is due to the CCP's hostility and fear of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The CCP minions have to expose their hatred.
On July 1, 2003, the people of Hong Kong went to the streets holding a grand parade against proposed Article 23 of the Basic Law. On December 4, 2005, the people of Hong Kong walked in the streets again, to demand the right for a general election and autonomy. These events showed that the CCP hasn't been satisfied with mere interference in Hong Kong; they have in fact developed evil thoughts of violence towards Hong Kong. What they eventually got from their evil thoughts was strong condemnation from the people of Hong Kong and the international community. The CCP refuses to give up its evil intentions and nurses more hatred.
After the CCP regime adopted the "reform and opening-up" policies, they claimed that they would "act in line with international practices." However, their basic tactics to suppress the people are creating countless unlawful incidents under their hidden policy, " the Party is above the law."
In Mainland China, the CCP deems Falun Gong "illegal" according to "the law", and there is no need to go through the legal procedures of investigations and collecting evidence. In fact the so-called "ban" on Falun Gong itself violates the Constitution. The CCP officials cannot legally order the forcible arrest and detention of Falun Gong practitioners who appeal for justice, or other people who go to the government appeals office for wrongs done to them, by charging them with "disrupting the social order" or "obstructing law enforcement."
Although in Hong Kong, the term of "One country, two systems" covers people's unwillingness to "return" control to the hands of the CCP, yet, the reality shows that Hong Kong has already fallen into the hands of the CCP with respect to some key issues.
On March 14, 2002, sixteen Falun Gong practitioners were peacefully appealing for justice outside the Central Government's Liaison Office in Hong Kong, calling for an immediate end to Jiang Zemin's order to kill Falun Gong practitioners in China. Under pressure from the Liaison Office, Hong Kong police unlawfully arrested those Falun Gong practitioners by force, using false accusations such as "obstructing traffic." In 2003, nearly 80 Taiwanese Falun Gong practitioners planned to attend a Falun Gong cultivation experience sharing conference. All held a valid visa but the Hong Kong authorities refused their entry, and some of them were forcibly deported. That was the first human rights incident involving Taiwan and Hong Kong.
The CCP claims that "This is the best period of human rights in China's history" and that there is "no persecution of Falun Gong in China." Should we believe what they say? One can come to one's own conclusions by just looking at what has happened in Hong Kong.
What law have the Falun Gong practitioners from Taiwan violated by going to Hong Kong with valid visas to participate in the legal "July 1" parade? Why were they subjected to such violent deportation, with women and the elderly being wrapped up in anti-riot blankets in the process? One would wonder which of the systems under the "one country, two systems" the Hong Kong authorities have implemented? To date, 547 Falun Gong practitioners have been forcibly deported, including two independent journalists from Taiwan. The situation is still unfolding at the moment.
The airport staff, including the airport police - even ranking officers - have yet to give any justifiable reason or legal justification for the deportation. They either keep silent or say their actions are due to "security reason" or "instructions from above." It's really shocking that such vague words, which totally defy the principles of a free and democratic society ruled by law, were uttered by Hong Kong's public servants. The people from the mainland are no strangers to such language. They have suffered so much persecution by the CCP. Such vague palaver is the CCP's typical way of saying things and a common language the CCP uses when they persecute the people.
This mass deportation reminds people of the large-scale persecution of Falun Gong in China after July 20, 1999.
For a period after July 20, 1999, millions of Falun Gong practitioners in China went to appeal for justice according to the law. From local governments to the central government, large numbers of Falun Gong practitioners were appealing every day and reporting unlawful wrongs done to them. The CCP used their customary suppressive means. Police, armed police and spies were everywhere - on key roads and at major transportation stations. The appeals offices were filled with policemen who would violently arrest all practitioners and put them in detention. Those who had come to Beijing were deported to their hometowns where they would be detained, put into labor camps or sentenced to imprisonment. It was a period of time stained with the tears and blood of Falun Gong practitioners.
Following their appeals, more than 100,000 Falun Gong practitioners nationwide were unlawfully sent to forced labor camps; tens of thousands were sentenced to prison; more than 3,000 are verified to have died as a result of persecution and torture. Tiananmen Square is not a place where people can freely express their thoughts, but a place where the persecution unscrupulously prevails. The ground was stained with blood from Falun Gong practitioners, the air was filled with frenzied police brutality, with sounds of beating from police batons and the jarring sirens of police vans. From time to time one could hear the shout, "Falun Dafa is good" from this running violence machine.
One shout of "Falun Dafa is good!" was often paid for with several years of detention, or even one's life.
Excuses such as "This is the decision by the government;" "The order is from above;" "There is nothing we can do. We are only carrying out orders;" "It is for national security" are so common in mainland China that you hear them all the time, because they represent the voice of the CCP and carry the evilness of the CCP. The CCP ignores all civilized systems of government in today's world and savagely seizes all lives that can be arrested while cunningly evading its responsibilities for crimes that cannot escape punishment by history. At the same time, it corrupts the kind nature of human beings and turns people into parts of an evil machine -- parts that can only think with a mindset of the Party Culture.
In the early days when Falun Gong practitioners went to appeal they came across many such "live machine parts." The CCP is also very skillful in creating, training and selecting such "live machine parts." Its tactics involve blocking the facts, instilling lies, and brandishing both carrot and stick. In the early days after July 20, 1999, those who persecuted Falun Gong practitioners were those who basically did not know the facts about Falun Gong and whose minds were poisoned by the CCP.
For eight years, through Falun Gong practitioners' constant efforts in clarifying the facts while risking their lives, many people who participated in the persecution have awakened and stopped what they were doing. Many people who had been deceived have learned the facts and no longer follow the CCP. Since the wide dissemination of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and the campaign for "quitting the CCP and its associated organizations" in particular, 23 million people have declared their withdrawal from the CCP and its affiliated organizations; many of these people used to act as persecutors in the early days of the persecution.
In the recent mass deportation incident, some staff members on duty did not know the facts about Falun Gong. On June 30, the Minghui website published a story about a Falun Gong practitioner from Macao compassionately clarifying the facts to those on duty during the deportation. When the practitioner was telling them how the CCP created wrong scenarios and how it has persecuted Falun Gong practitioners, the staff members showed great concern and interest.
It has been eight years since July 20, 1999. Falun Gong is still the same Falun Gong as before. It is only that Falun Gong practitioners have become even more compassionate and kind-hearted. Although the CCP is still holding up its framework, the will of its members has become lax, as the root of the evil CCP has already been pulled out. According to certain self-assessments from high-level CCP officials, the CCP will find it very difficult to survive the 2008 Olympics.
The CCP has become weak, and it could never launch another suppression on the scale of July 20, 1999, even if it dearly wished. Those who act as the CCPs "live machine parts"-- their time has come to face the reality and listen to the facts. Step away from the disintegrating mincing machine! No matter what kind of machine part you have been, as long as you break away from that machine, straighten your back and hold your head up high, with conscience intact, you are a human being!
