1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Falun Gong Practitioners Wu Yueju and Zhang Guirong Persecuted
Fifty-six year-old Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wu Yueju has been detained many times. She was released from the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp's No. 1 Division on April 30, 2007, after a persecution-protest hunger strike and was again arrested and put into the Dalian Detention Center on May 9, 2007. Ms. Wu was released almost two weeks later, but five policemen arrested her again at 3:00 p.m. on May 22, 2007 and sent her somewhere in Shenyang City at noon on May 23, 2007.
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Guirong, practitioner Mr. Yang Chuanjun's mother, was arrested and sent to a drug rehabilitation center on June 19, 2007. Mr. Yang is presently being held at the Dalian City Yaojia Detention Center. Practitioner Ms. Zhang Yaru's whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Thirteen Practitioners Arrested
Personnel from the Suining City National Security Division, from the police department and the Security Team damaged a few Falun Gong truth-clarification materials production sites. The persecutors also confiscated a few computers and equipment on the night of June 28, 2007. They arrested thirteen practitioners, including Mr. Deng Hui, Mr. Deng Qiugui, Ms. Zhang Xiurong, Ms. Su Derong, Mr. Liao Banggui, Ms. Zhang Chengzhen, Ms. Xiao Zujun, Ms. Qi Xiulan, Ms. Fang Zhengxiu, Ms. Liu Chunfeng, and Ms. Han.

4. [Shanghai] Practitioner Bai Gendi's Verdict Upheld at the Second Trial
Practitioner Ms. Bai Gendi was sentenced to four and a half years in prison in late April 2007. She appealed, but Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate Court agents upheld the original verdict.
Practitioner Bai Gendi, 52, was an employee from the petroleum system. She lives in the Leshan New Community, Hongqiao Street, near the Shanghai Jiaotong University in the Xuhui District. Ms. Bai was the first practitioner sentenced to forced labor in the area. She had been sentenced to forced labor twice with a combined term of five years since 2000. She was held for a month in June 2005 but was released after ten days of a hunger strike.

5. [Shunde District, Guangdong Province] Practitioners Lan Shaomei and Lan Mingkai Arrested
Police arrested practitioners Ms. Lan Shaomei and Mr. Lan Mingkai at 5:00 p.m. on June 29, 2007. The two practitioners are being held at the Shunde District Detention Center.
6. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Persecuted at the Lianjiangkou Prison
According to reliable sources, police persecuted those practitioners who defied their orders, such as refusing to wear a criminal ID tag. Police forbade those practitioners from leaving their cells, going downstairs, buying daily necessities, ordering meals or speaking with each other. They also deprived the practitioners' family members of visitation rights.

7. [Liaoning Province] Persecution of Practitioner Li Honggeng - Belated News
Practitioner Mr. Li Honggeng, 42, began practicing Falun Gong in 1994. He went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong on July 19, 1999. Beijing police arrested him and transferred him back to Jinzhou City by train. He escaped after the train arrived at Jinzhou City.
Beijing police authorities arrested Mr. Li and put him into the Daying Brainwashing Center in July 2003. They made him pay a 5,000 yuan accommodation fee and sentenced him to two years of forced labor one month later.
Personnel from the Jinzhou City Police Department attempted to force him to write the three statements on the day of his scheduled release in July 2005. He refused, and the police planned to imprison him again. Mr. Li tried to escape from the police department, but he fractured one of his vertebrae when he jumped from the police building.
8. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Thirteen Practitioners Arrested
More than 100 policemen from the Chengde City National Security Bureau, from the National Security Division, the Police Department and from the 610 Office divided into 22 groups. They arrested thirteen practitioners between 9:00 p.m. on June 30, 2007 and 2:00 a.m. the next day. The arrested practitioners included Ms. Zhao Baoli, Ms. Li Ying, Mr. Cao Ziping, Mr. Zhao Zhiqiang, Mr. Fan Lixin, Ms. Bian Xiaoyun, Ms. Cai Shumei, Mr. Han Zhiqiang, Ms. Zhou Yanchun, Mr. Liu Jinxin, Ms. Yang Shuqin and her son, and Ms. Zhao. The practitioners are presently being held at the city's Pianqiaozi Police Training Center.
9. [Taoyuan County, Hunan Province] Practitioner Peng Wanguo Paralyzed from Torture
Practitioner Mr. Peng Wanguo was carried out when his family went to visit him on July 3, 2007. He was paralyzed and could not take care of himself, but police still refused to release him.

10. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Zhang Kai Sentenced
Practitioner Mr. Zhang Kai is an undergraduate student in Qingdao City. The city's Dashan No. 2 Detention Center Criminal Court agents sentenced him on June 18, 2007. Mr. Zhang has been under arrest for 61 days.
Mr. Zhang's mother is a practitioner from Leling City in Shandong Province. She was arrested and sent to a forced labor camp for explaining the facts of Falun Gong, but her admission into the forced labor camp was refused. Her health checkup results disqualified her. While she was detained, someone exposed the evildoings of the 610 Office personnel on the Internet. The latter tried to force her to tell them who wrote the Internet article, but she did not say anything. The police then arrested Mr. Zhang.
11. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Practitioner Guo Jianhai Arrested
Practitioner Mr. Guo Jianhai, 36, is a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine. He was born in a poor family in Shangdu County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Mr. Guo started practicing Falun Gong in 2001. He opened a clinic in Huairen County, Datong City in 2002. Six police officers from Zhugerqi City colluded with personnel from the Huairen County 610 Office to arrest Mr. Guo and ransack his home on June 23, 2007. They confiscated his computer, a printer, a VCD player, an MP4 player, an audio-cassette, and about 3,600 yuan in cash, which was from Mr. Guo's sister. The confiscated personal belongings were worth about 15,000 yuan. Mr. Guo is presently held at the Zhugerqi City Police Department.
Practitioner Mr. Qiao Gen and his wife Ms. Ma Gui'e are also being held there. The couple are doctors of traditional Chinese medicine. The couple's 14-year-old son was left alone at home.
12. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Held at the Hongweixing Prison's No. 5 Ward Staged a Persecution-Protest Hunger Strike
Practitioners held at the Hongweixing Prison's No. 5 Ward commenced a persecution-protest hunger strike on June 26, 2007. Practitioners Mr. Dai Zhidong, Mr. Wang Shusen and Mr. Zhang Jian are on a hunger strike at the prison. They are now too weak to stand.
13. [Shanghai] Practitioner Wang Ruhua Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Wang Ruhua, a public transportation bus driver, was arrested at her workplace, Chongqing Street No. 3 Transportation Company, at 5:00 a.m. on June 22, 2007. Her home was ransacked.
14. [Tianjin] Practitioners Gao Yan'e and Zhang Surong Arrested
Practitioners Ms. Gao Yan'e and Ms. Zhang Surong are from Yinliu Town, Ji County in Tianjin City. Personnel from the Yinliu Town Police Department, the Ji County National Security Division, and the 610 Office arrested the two practitioners on July 2, 2007. Police also ransacked their homes and confiscated two laptop computers, a desktop computer, two ink printers, two laser printers, a 40GB hard drive, 18 bottles of ink, several boxes of white paper, a paper-cutter, and five sets of satellite receivers.
15. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Li Xianglan Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Li Xianglan, 49, is an employee from the Handan City No. 4 Factory in Hebei Province. She lives in the Fuxing District No. 3 Railway Bureau's residential community. Personnel from the Shengliqiao Police Station arrested her and ransacked her home on June 28, 2007. Her whereabouts are unknown.
Personnel from the district's Haochun Police Station arrested practitioner Mr. Wei Baoquan on June 22, 2007. Mr. Wei is presently being held at the city's No. 2 Detention Center.

16. [Gaoyang County, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Gaoyang County National Security Division Chief Ye Hongjiu led a group of thugs to go to practitioners Ms. Li Junying and Ms. Bi Xiuzhi's privately-owned frozen dumpling factory on June 27, 2007. They arrested the two practitioners and confiscated some truth-clarifying materials. They also arrested all eight employees of the factory.

17. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Information Regarding the Arrest of Practitioner Wang Xiyu
Two policemen arrested and body searched practitioner Ms. Wang Xiyu at Guxian Town in Pingdu City at 11:40 a.m. on June 8, 2007. Ms. Wang resisted. They called more than ten police officers to arrest Ms. Wang. Police confiscated Ms. Wang's handbag, which had a cellular phone, a SIM card for the cell phone and the key to Ms. Wang's home. Police then used the key to enter Ms. Wang's home and ransacked the place in the absence of Ms. Wang's family. They confiscated a printer, a computer, a watch, two MP3 players, two SIM cards, and all the cash at the home.

18. [Yitulihe City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Practitioner Min Daqing Persecuted at a Brainwashing Session
Personnel from the Humeng 610 Office arrested 15 practitioners on June 12, 2007. They set up a brainwashing session in the Yimin Meidian Hotel in Yakeshi City. Thirteen practitioners were forced to sign certain documents against their wills and then were released. Practitioner Mr. Min Daqing, an employee from the Yitulihe City Railway Power Section, and another one did not cooperate with the persecutors. They are still being held at the brainwashing center.
