(Clearwisdom.net) I read the ninth chapter of Zhuan Falun today and came to a few understandings that I would like to share with my fellow practitioners.
I believe that it is Falun Dafa disciples' own choice to endure hardships, rather than something that is purely determined by karma. Teacher said that 90% of human beings today are from higher dimensions. For Falun Dafa disciples during the Fa-rectification period, since we all agreed to assist Teacher in rectifying Fa, perhaps we all chose our own environments. Some of them are quite difficult, and some elements were surely arranged maliciously by the old forces.
Some fellow practitioners have lived in poverty since childhood, and one might imagine that to be a result of karma. Actually, that is not for certain. It is quite possible that they chose the difficult environment to cultivate and validate the Fa in, since no segment of society is to be missed when we validate the Fa. Some practitioners complain and say that Falun Dafa cultivators should have good fortune, yet they do not feel it. Actually, long before, we may have promised that no matter how hard the environment was, we would still attain and cultivate in the Fa, and we may have chosen to be reincarnated in the harshest environment.
From another perspective, all that we do benefits ourselves and our sentient beings, and it is not for Teacher's sake. I would not want to encourage fellow practitioners to pursue mighty virtue by going through hardships, since that is selfishness. Although we were born in delusion, we have been fortunate to attain the Fa and carry out our vows. That is the greatest privilege. Many people with predestined relationships still have not attained the Fa to this day. That is truly lamentable.
I hope that fellow practitioners who live a hard life won't be discouraged or hesitate in their cultivation. As long as the hard environment does not affect the three things we need to do and validating the Fa, we are doing away with the old forces' arrangements. Let us steadfastly fulfill our mighty vows!
