(Clearwisdom.net) Recently I met with enormous interference while sending forth righteous thoughts and practicing. I could not concentrate and frequently made mistakes in preparing truth-clarification materials. I wanted to break through this, but did not know where to start, and I was often drowsy. Today I read on Minghui/Clearwisdom a fellow practitioner's article, titled, "Lust is a Powerful Tool of the Red Dragon," and I became clearer in my mind.
I am a single young woman. The words and behavior of my classmates and friends are products of society's moral degradation. They are frivolous about their relationships with men, and many of them live with their boyfriends without getting married. After I practiced Falun Gong, I knew that I could not act like others, and I should restrain myself. However, when I saw the actions of other people, I sometimes thought it was normal behavior. I did not realize that this tacit acknowledgment was also an indulgence in lust, allowing it to exist in my mind. I became clear in my mind after reading the article that I could not indulge in lust in any way. Lust is a very evil means by which the "red dragon" has prevented sentient beings from practicing Falun Gong. I think no matter what sentient beings think of it, as practitioners we should clearly understand it. If we understand this, we will know why so many people around us indulge in lust and are indifferent to the truth of Falun Gong.
I used to think that it was okay to have intimate relations with a man, as long as one abstained from sex. I thought of it as a joy of life, and it led to my indulgence in actions. I had intimate relations with a man many times, but I did not realize it was bad. My actions caused loopholes for the old forces to interfere, so even when I sent forth righteous thoughts to try to eliminate it, the interference increased.
I understood clearer Master's teaching that the principles for non-practitioners are totally opposite from those of a cultivator. We already cultivate Falun Dafa, so we should know what we are supposed to do. We need to realize that sentimentality and lust are no longer something we desire. After staying alert in mind, then we can rectify our actions naturally. I hope this article is helpful to fellow practitioners with similar experiences.
