(Clearwisdom.net) On March 28, 2007, Ma Hui, a Falun Gong practitioner and United Nations refugee, and her daughter were abducted and deported back to China by the Russian government. On May 13, 2007, the same thing happened to Gao Chunman, another Falun Gong practitioner who is a United Nations refugee. The Russian government's actions are not in compliance with international laws which protect refugees.
On May 21, 2007, eight representatives of Falun Gong practitioners in Houston went to the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Houston and submitted a protest letter and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong in China to the officials there. The Russian officials said that they would read the materials. On May 22, Falun Gong practitioners requested a face-to face meeting with officials at the Russian consulate. On May 23, the vice consul, Denis Lozinskiy, met with practitioners for 50 minutes.
Practitioners gave the vice consul informational materials, including the Matas/Kilgour investigation report about organ harvesting in China. They talked about the cases of Ma Hui and Gao Chunman. Practitioners asked the vice consul if he knew about the persecution of Falun Gong in China and he said "yes."
Practitioners explained what Falun Gong and its teachings are to the vice consul and told him how brutal the persecution is. One practitioner described his experience of being tortured in China. At the end of the conversation, practitioners expressed hope that the Russian government would stop assisting the evil CCP.
The vice consul said that the materials and the letter from practitioners were already translated into Russian and sent to Moscow.
