(Clearwisdom.net) Since Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began its campaign to publicly ban Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, they have been trying to cut off determined Falun Gong practitioners' sources of income. As a result, some have had difficulties making ends meet. Some have lost their jobs. Some who were forced to get a divorce did not have a job and now have to do part-time work to support themselves. Yet they save every penny for the sake of producing truth clarification materials that expose the persecution of Falun Gong, validate Falun Gong, and save sentient beings. With that in mind, we practitioners must pay close attention when we use fellow practitioners' donations to produce such materials. The following are but a few examples:
Practitioner A: She was not working when her husband divorced her. After the divorce, she moved to an apartment and worked as a babysitter to make ends meet. In the first month as a babysitter she earned 450 yuan. She donated 200 yuan to produce truth clarification materials. She said, "It's not much, but please use it to produce materials."
Practitioner B: She is a housewife and depends on her husband to provide for the family. After the New Year, she donated 600 yuan. She said, "Take it. It's better to spend the money on producing truth clarification materials about Falun Gong than to give it to my children for their allowances. I feel better about spending it on helping people to understand the facts about Falun Gong."
Practitioner C: She used to suffer from rheumatoid arthritis before she began to practice Falun Gong. The lower-back pain and the pain in her legs made her bed-ridden and she was partially paralyzed. She spent all of her savings on medical treatments and ended up destitute. She started to practice Falun Gong in 2004 and became increasingly healthy. Now she can look after herself and do housework. One day, she handed 39 yuan in one's, two's, five's, and a ten to a fellow practitioner. She said, "I saved the money from my grocery shopping. It's not much, but please use it to make truth clarification materials."
Practitioner E: She was released from a forced labor camp in 2006 and brought 100 yuan with her. She said, "The money (in coins and small bills) came from many imprisoned practitioners. This is all they had with them. They asked me to take the money with me and spend it on producing truth clarification materials to save sentient beings." Everyone's eyes welled up with tears. They learned that, despite being incarcerated, their fellow practitioners thought of saving sentient beings. Only a life forged by the Fa would be able to do this!
There are countless stories about donations. Unlike practitioners who are capable of donating thousands of yuan at once, the money these students donate is equally precious because of their sincere wish to save sentient beings. With this in mind, those of us who work at material production sites must make sure every penny is used as intended.
I have heard that some practitioners are very frugal. They don't trash materials printed by mistake. They save that paper and use it for something else. When a printer or a computer breaks, they tend to look inward first and send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the root cause. They have been using the same printers and computers for years and they have been functioning well.
It has been eight years since the persecution of Falun Gong started. Despite the pressure of the persecution and despite the risk of being arrested, those fellow practitioners at the material production sites have proven their courage. They continue to produce truth clarification materials to tell people about Falun Gong and save sentient beings. We are confident that divine beings in the universe and many sentient beings have a lot of respect for us. Our compassionate Teacher has also been watching us!
