(Clearwisdom.net) With Falun Gong practitioners' dedicated efforts to raise awareness of the persecution happening in communist China, more and more people have learned the truth and expressed their support. Below are some comments received by the Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group after people read about the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Gong on the group's website:
J. M., Scotland:
When will the rest of the world stop talking and take collective action against the despotic governance of inhumanity. Persecution of Falun Gong exists due to the collusive agreement of other countries turning a blind eye to the mass slaughter of innocents. The exchange of life and soul for tawdry goods and toxic baubles provides proof, that unchallenged despotic control eventually cannibalises its children. The ramification of non intervention will end in ecological atrophy for China. I unequivocally predict that very soon (2007-2009) China's gratuitous cruelty and greed will reflect mass socioeconomic deprivation. And increased environmental destruction will result in the greatest number of environmental refugees the world has ever seen.
N. O., Bulgaria
Shame it can still happen in the 21 century, true horror story
T. N., Germany:
It is shame what China doing to their own people. STOP TORTURING AND KILLKING THEM.
L. P., USA:
This is an important issue that needs to be addressed. The U.S. not going to do anything because they depend on the import of items from china to the U.S. Until the people of the U.S. make a stand against these abuses, the U.S. will continue to ignore them. It would help if the media was more involved in informing the people in the U.S of what is happening and they need to be part of stopping the abuse.
M. F., Finland:
This should be the last proof to people that Communism is Evil!
You must always fight against Communism!
H. K., Pennsylvania, USA:
Governments have an inherent tendency to be little more than organized criminal gangs. That's why power is distributed among three branches of government in the U.S. (although it has been accumulating dangerously in the Executive branch for many years). The regime in China, unchecked by opposing power, seems particularly vicious. People of conscience in relatively free countries should contact their representatives and ask that they seek official condemnation of, and trade sanctions for, such outrageous, repressive CCP behavior.
J. K., USA:
That [sic] what we expect from cruel and totalitarian government. I strongly opposed such brutal and inhuman treatment by state to its own fellow citizen [sic]. I believe every country should preserve their culture for future generation. I guess Chinese haven't learn anything from their so called "culture [sic] revolution" in which they killed millions of people. We badly need democratic government in China. My hearts goes out for Falun Gong followers. God bless you!
F. M., France:
The "People [sic] Republic" of China. What a funny name. It is so close to the world of brutal repression that George Orwell described in 1984. Even worse, considering the human organ traffic.
No one will say nothing for China is a big market and... so useful !
J. M., UK:
It is inhumane to persecute someone for their personal beliefs. Torture is barbaric and renders humans the least evolved species on the planet. How can you have any conscience if you can do this to a fellow human being? If you want your country to be recognised as civilised release this woman and all others you have imprisoned for their beliefs; political, religious or philosophical immediately!
N. M. B., Sweden:
I am signing this petition to condemn the violation of Human Rights taking place in China and around the world.
G. G., U.S.A:
China needs to lose its possible revenue the Olympic Games would generate if it cannot cease, what appears from outside of the country, to be an effort of mindless suppression and brutal cultural control. This conduct flies in the face of its international commitments. We here in the U.S. failed back in the late 1980's to push and enforce a minimal human rights standard linked to commerce. Commerce seems like the only influence the CCP can actually feel. Their noises about foreign influence ring hollow to me when I recall so many of their rocket launchers and automatic weapons imported, illegally, into the streets of L.A. If they are to become the new capital center of the world, they will have to raise their conduct standards to at least 'par' with the civilized world. This includes freedom of religion. They never stopped religion with the cultural revolution - they just attempted to replace it with a worship of the state and its leading icon.
S. M. M., United Kingdom:
As a mindful living, meditation and writing guide -- with a master's degree in the Eastern philosophical and literary classics of China, India and Japan and whose personal practice is greatly informed by Taoism -- I am appalled by the Chinese government's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
K. H., England:
Only when people whose beliefs are harmless to others are free to follow their beliefs without persecution will all the people of the world be free. As long as persecution continues against others in the world, the persecutors themselves will be on the losing edge of the sword.
Walk in the Grace of God for you are never alone.
M. P., Scotland:
It is entirely wrong to deny anyone the right to practise their belief, so long as they do no harm. To go further and torture a practitioner is not worthy of an old and advanced civilisation.
M. S., Canada:
The West should reconsider it's [sic] trade arrangements with China as it is a big abuser of human rights. I hope that Canada specifically reconsiders it's [sic]business dealings with China with regards to accessing our oil and gas reserves. That would get their attention. Torture is unacceptable and should not be tolerated ever.
M. M., USA:
Stop the torture now!!! As long as I continue to hear how China denies human rights to its citizens I will do my best to not support your government by buying goods from China, and I will call/write to my government requesting that they limit their economic support of China as well. It is reprehensible that China sanctions violence against its citizens!
M. V., Bulgaria:
Communist regimes are inhuman and must be opposed because they only bring evil to people.
E. F., Saint Louis, USA:
Torture and repression are wrong, always, and must be opposed by moral people, always
M. L., USA:
I'm so sadden to see how human can be so evil. Although I don't practice the Falun Gong doctrine I am a Jehovah's Witness and through many years we have suffered many forms of persecution, including brutal torture. I have not personally suffered the tortures, but our brothers & sisters have endured many tribulations because our conscience does not allow us to go to war and kill another human being, because we uphold high moral values within our way of life, because we do not renounce to our beliefs. Although my comments do not endorse Falun Gong's beliefs, I really admire Falun Gong's practitioners for their relentless firm stand for their way of belief. May Jehovah and his son Jesus Christ bring an end to the evil that emanates this world.
K. M., USA:
This is hideous, cruel and unnecessary punishment to those who wish to peacefully practice their beliefs!!! Please stop this insanity now!!
M. G., USA:
This is an outrage that this torture is allowed anywhere in the world. The Chinese communists should be stopped. Boycott Chinese products, until they stop this torture and write to your government to also boycott imports from China!
B. L., USA:
I find this utterly ridiculous! This has to be stopped. It is so inhumane and I cant understand how people know this is going on and yet still do not care enough to do something about it!
D. V., Qatar:
This has to stop
L. S., Australia:
I find it absolutely appalling that in this day and age we as western countries stand aside and say nothing and continue to do trade with China who are barbaric and controlling in the treatment of their people - where do human rights and humanity come into this??? and why hasn't this happened when governments are aware that this is happening. We need to make a stand to let them know - we know and it this not okay. This must end now!!!!
C. G., Wales, UK:
More publicity for this situation might help
K. A., New Hampshire, USA:
This is a heart wrenching example of what happens when a government has total control over its people. Our prayers are with the people of China.
M. A. A., United States/ India:
This is horrendous! Please lets take a stand to prevent this inhuman degradation from occurring. Not just for the Falun Gong but for all those who suffer irrespective of country, belief, ideology, religion or race. This must end!!!!
C. F., Canada:
Torture and the blatant oppression of human rights is unacceptable! As an international community we must speak up to condemn China's behavior so as to prevent present and future innocent victims from being abused for personal beliefs and practices that do not cause anyone harm.
Dr. J. G., South Carolina, USA:
Blatant oppression of human rights should be recognized, publicly acknowledged and stopped.
J. S., Toronto, Canada:
Institutional torture is one of the most degrading, criminal practices one can imagine. When a country uses it systematically against an innocent religious group, whatever their beliefs are, such a country should have absolutely no say in international decisions and should be strongly condemned by other nations.
Mrs. D. U., UK:
Are we not brought in to this world to bereave in our own rights. when will this ever stop..let there be love&light to us all..
J. S., Australia:
How dare people be tortured for their beliefs, these are not animals but human beings they are hurting no one leave them alone, this treatment is a crime it must be stopped
S. A., USA:
Torture of people who practice their beliefs especially their peaceful beliefs must stop. Someone must remind these people that we are living in the 21st.century. Let this woman and all those imprisoned for the same reason out of prison and stop the torture.
H. F., Berkeley, California:
The persecution of people who don't necessarily hold the same philosophy as those in power needs to end, whether it be those who practice Falun Gong, atheists, homo/bisexuals, etc. The CCP needs to be boycotted, the purchase of Chinese goods which are produced under extremely rough conditions needs to end, but funny thing.. People still buy crap from Wal-Mart because it's cheap. Well, guess why it's so cheap, people!
B. B., USA:
The banishment of institutional torture, be it government, military, or otherwise, is a necessary step for the advancement of the human race. Anything I can do to help, I will.
T. H., Canada:
The world needs to know what is really going on in China. Everyone needs to try to help spread the truth about the human rights abuses. We need to stop buying cheaply made Chinese manufactured goods.
J. K., Canada:
Please accept my support in condemning China for its ongoing human rights abuses.
International Advocates for Health Freedom, USA (with members in 47 nations):
China must not be allowed to participate in the Olympic Games and should be thrown out of the WTO. People of conscience world wide must vehemently oppose their execution and torture of Falun Gong practitioners.
M. and B. Z., USA:
Freedom of Religion is a basic human right.
G. C., Australia:
As a member of the Australia Tibet Council - as someone who is passionate about the Tibetan people and the end of repression there - I deplore this further use of repression on innocent Falun Gong practitioners
