Since Jiang Zemin's regime began persecuting Falun Gong in 1999, Hebei Medical University has deprived Ms. Wang of her right to give lectures, due to the fact that she persists in cultivation. She could only work as a teaching assistant, and her salary was reduced by two classes. From January 2000 to April 2002, salary from 17 months, totaling 85 thousand yuan, was withheld from Ms. Wang. In late February 2004, citing Ms. Wang's persistence in cultivation and clarifying the truth, her workplace withheld almost five thousand yuan from her salary. On January 21, 2007, because she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution, she was taken to the Yucai Street Police Station in Shijiazhuang City. Officer Shi Qiwu, together with five other policemen, ransacked Ms. Wang's home for three hours without a warrant and despite the fact that her 85-year old blind and feeble mother was lying in bed in the home. They confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun and some Falun Dafa materials. Ms. Wang's mother was extremely scared and shocked by the ransacking, and she suddenly suffered a mental collapse and lost consciousness. Later, at the instigation of the director of the police station, Tan Jun, the Party Committee at Ms. Wang's workplace withheld two thousand yuan from her monthly salary. Ten thousand yuan has now been withheld from Ms. Wang and will be used as the training fee for the brainwashing center of the 610 Office.
