(Clearwisdom.net) On April 19 and 20, the 4th Annual World Summit on Organ Donation Symposium was held at Ritz Carlton Hotel in Detroit, Michigan. More than 100 doctors, researchers and social workers attended the conference. Dr. Wenyi Wang, a Falun Gong practitioner, and Mr. David Kilgour, Canada's former Secretary of State for Asia-Pacific and Member of Parliament, were invited to give speeches on the topic of Ethical Considerations in Organ Donation.
Dr. Wenyi Wang: The Constitution in China is just a lie.
Dr. Wang's topic was "Organ Transplantation: Medical and Human Rights in China." She introduced the crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners to the audience.
Dr. Wang expressed that under the CCP's tyrannical rule, the Constitution in China is just a show. The CCP can do whatever it wants. Dr. Wang said that the CCP launched the persecution of Falun Gong, and Jiang Zemin tried to eliminate Falun Gong in three months. The Chinese constitution says that its citizens have freedom of belief, however, the Jiang regime used terrorist policies such as "ruin their reputation, destroy them financially and eliminate them physically," and "killing of Falun Gong practitioners is nothing and should be counted as suicide." So far it has been confirmed that more than 3000 Falun Gong practitioners have been tortured to death, and many more have simply disappeared.
Dr. Wang called upon the attendees of the conference to help to end this crime against humanity.
Mr. Kilgour: The harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners is against the Olympic Spirit.
Mr. Kilgour discussed the report about organ harvesting atrocities that he and Mr. David Matas, a renowned human rights lawyer, had authored.
Mr. Kilgour expressed that they listed 18 classes of evidence in the first version of the investigation report. In the updated version, they added 15 new classes of evidence, which further support the existence of the atrocities.
Mr. Kilgour compared the CCP's harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners with the Rwandan Genocide, in which 800 thousand people were killed. To end the genocide in China, Mr. Kilgour and Mr. Matas have traveled to 30 cities in the world to introduce their report and expose CCP brutality. They also collected more evidence.
Mr. Kilgour said that they had applied for visas to go into China for further investigation, but their applications were rejected.
Mr. Kilgour said that the Chinese government has not responded to 20 suggestions made by the investigation group. The only response that the Chinese government made was to point out that two city names in the report were wrong. The Chinese government did not disprove the conclusion of the investigation report--the large scale organ harvesting exists and is going on.
Mr. Kilgour expressed that it is the time to reconsider if the 2008 Olympic Games should be held in China. He said that a tyrant government, which keeps its power with lies and violence, is against the spirit of Olympics.
He suggested that American hospitals not train Chinese doctors to conduct organ transplants, and that American patients not go to China to obtain organ transplants.
Attendees: Act to exert pressure on the CCP and end the persecution
Many people were shocked by the truth exposed by Dr. Wang and Mr. Kilgour.
Dr. Guo Rubo verified the organ harvesting with his own experience. He said that he had reviewed some papers about organ transplanting in China. From the papers, he realized that the organs were harvested from living people.
A doctor, who didn't want to reveal his name, told the reporter that many patients of his had gone to China to have organ transplants. He said that more than 30 patients of his went to China last year.
Dr. Pan Qie from the Organ Transplant Center at Michigan University said that one way to stop the persecution is to exert political pressure on the CCP before the 2008 Olympic Games.
A doctor expressed her appreciation and admiration to Dr. Wang and Mr. Kilgour after the talks. She said that her organization and she herself have been concerned about the organ harvesting for a long time, and she and her co-workers are considering how to stop American patients from going to China for organ transplants. She expressed that she would like to cooperate with Dr. Wang and Mr. Kilgour to end these crimes against humanity as soon as possible.
A doctor from the Kidney Foundation in Michigan was shocked by what she learned from Kilgour and Wang. She expressed that she would contact congressmen at state and federal levels and urge them to take action to stop this crime.
