1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Wang Shoujun Arrested at Home

At 2:00 p.m. on March 23, 2007, the Qizhen Police Station of Harbin City dispatched about four cars to arrest practitioner Mr. Wang Shoujun from Hexin Road in Nangang District, Harbin City. In the meantime, many items from his home, including electric heaters, were confiscated.

2. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Student Ms. Qiao Donglin from Fuping County Middle School Subjected to Mistreatment

Practitioner Ms. Qiao Donglin, who is an eighth grade student from the Fuping County Middle School of Baoding City, was reported to the school officials when she was distributing truth-clarification materials in late 2006. When the school Chinese Communist Party (CCP) secretary, Geng Bin (male) and the principal, Zhou Yongwang (male) called Ms. Qiao Donglin into the office, Ms. Qiao Donglin started to clarify the truth to them. However, they not only refused to listen to the truth, but they also called in her family members and dismissed her from school. Her family members repeatedly went to see these two officials, who insisted that they would not allow Ms. Qiao Donglin to attend school unless Ms. Qiao would write a guarantee statement. Ms. Qiao Donglin had to leave this school to study at another school. Since Ms. Qiao is an excellent student, Geng and Zhou repeatedly called her in order to make her return to the school, since they wanted to obtain a bonus, as she was an additional person able to pass the college entrance exam. In order to get her back, they even threatened her saying that they would report her to police.

3. [Hanjiayuan Town, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Mr. Bo Liwei, Ms. Yan Xiuying and their Family Members Mistreated

On the evening of February 11, 2007, practitioners Mr. Bo Liwei and Ms. Yan Xiuying from Hanjiayuan Town were arrested. They are currently being held in the Hanjiayuan Town Detention Center, and are being subjected to sleep deprivation. The police officers are using brutal methods to beat the practitioners, and they have applied all efforts in an attempt to force them to reveal the identities of fellow practitioners. Finally, the police officer applied the same methods towards their family members, who, under stress and fear, revealed the identity of practitioner Mr. Liu Feng. This caused Mr. Liu Feng to be arrested, then held and tortured at the Hanjiayuan Town Police Station Detention Center.

4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zhang Weijie Disappeared

Practitioner Mr. Zhang Weijie from Wuhan City disappeared on March 20, 2007, on his way back from work. Reportedly, his wife was taking care of her elderly parents in her parents' house that day, and she did not know of his disappearance until the following day when he failed to go to work.

Mr. Zhang Weijie was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor because he practiced Falun Gong. Prior to the Chinese New Year, Mr. Zhang Weijie and his wife were illegally followed by the authorities.

It was reported that on March 20, 2007, the Hubei Provincial Prison Management Bureau transferred all illegally-held practitioners (except four practitioners who completed their terms) in the Hubei Provincial Qinduankou Prison to the Fanjiatai Prison of Shayang County.

7. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Supplementary Information on the Arrest of Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Mao Yiqian

Between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on March 21, 2007, practitioner Mr. Mao Yiqiang from Maochang Street, Sanfutan Town, Xiantao City was working at his shop when he was arrested by officers from the Xiantao City 610 Office, the Sanfutan Police Station, and other agencies. Later, police officer Xiong Qionghua (female) from the Sanfutan City Police Station called Mr. Mao's family members and asked them to send clothes to the police station, informing them that Mr. Mao had already been arrested and taken to the Wuhan Provincial Brainwashing Center.

8. [Wu'an City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Arrested and Mistreated

On the evening of March 21, 2007, four practitioners, including Ms. Li Haiqi, Ms. Zhang Gaiye, and Ms. Lu Guoxia, were illegally arrested by the Criminal Police Division of Wu'an City when they were distributing Falun Dafa truth-clarification materials. They are still being held in the Criminal Police Division.

On the morning of the following day, agents from the Wu'an City 610 Office colluded with the Hejing Police Station to ransack the homes of the arrested practitioners. They confiscated Falun Dafa exercise tapes, weekly journals, and MP3 players.

9. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Han Shen Illegally Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor

Practitioner Mr. Han Shen from Qinglong District has been held in the No. 1 Detention Center of Qinhuangdao City. He has been secretly sentenced to two years of forced labor, and he was taken to the Baoding City Forced Labor Camp on March 23, 2007.

10. [Liaoning Province] Police Officers from the Jinzhou City Oil Field Police Station Went to Practitioners' Homes to Harass Practitioners

At about 7:00 p.m. on March 22, 2007, four people from the Jinzhou City Oil Field and Guta District Oil Field Police Station, as well as from the Street Residential Office went to knock at the door of the home of practitioner Ms. Wang Yaqi in an attempt to harass her, using the excuse of checking residential registration.

11. [Hengyan City, Hunan Province] Practitioner Ms. Zhang Yangui's Home Illegally Ransacked

Several police officers from Chengdong Police Station of Hengyang City, Qidong County used a false pretext to break into the home of practitioner Ms. Zhang Yangui at around 8:00 p.m. on March 22, 2007. They left her home a mess and illegally confiscated many Falun Dafa books.

12. [Laiyuan County, Hebei Province] Practitioner Ms. Shun Yue'e Arrested at Home

At around 9:00 p.m. on March 22, 2007, practitioner Ms. Shun Yue'e from Yangjiazhuang Town, Laiyuan County was arrested by several police officers from the Yangjiazhuang Police Department, who climbed over the garden wall to enter her home and arrest her. She was not even allowed to put on her jacket before she was forcibly taken away. The current whereabouts of Ms. Shun Yue'e are unknown.

In 2005, practitioner Mr. Guo Yutian, who is the husband of Ms. Shun Yue'e, was illegally sentenced to seven years of imprisonment for distributing the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. He is currently being held in the Jidong Prison of Tangshan City and is being subjected to torture.

13. [Fuxin City, Liaoing Province] Practitioner Ms. Ye Hongmei Facing Illegal Trial

On the evening of October 25, 2006, practitioner Ms. Ye Hongmei was illegally arrested at her rental place where she lived and held an after-school club. She is currently being held at the Xindi Detention Center in Fuxin City. On March 21, 2007, Ms. Ye Hongmei's family members received the notice of a trial against Ms. Ye Hongmei, from the Xihe District Court.

14. [Jianyang City, Sichuan Province] Supplementary Information on the Illegal Arrest of Five Practitioners

On March 15, 2007, five practitioners were reported to police when they were distributing truth-clarifying materials in areas including Zhoujia Town of Jianyang City, and were subsequently arrested. They include Ms. Hu Yuanzhen, Ms. Chen Jianying, Ms. Li Mengshu, Ms. Liu Jianxiu, and Ms. Yang Guirong. The Jianyang City State Security Division, the Jianyang City Police Department, the 610 Office, and other agencies all participated in the persecution of these practitioners.

In May 2005, older practitioner Mr. Li Guocai, from Shiqiao Town, Jianyang City was illegally sentenced to three years of imprisonment. He was taken away in a hurry and tortured at the Fifth Division of the Wumaping Prison at Muchuan District, Leshan City in Sichuan Province even before his family members were notified. In the meantime, Mr. Li Guoca's wife, Ms. Hu Yuanzhen, and his elder sister, Ms. Li Mengshu, were all illegally arrested. 15. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Ms. Liu Xixia Arrested Again

Practitioner Ms. Liu Xixia from Tumen Town, Yiyuan County, Zibo City was arrested again in February or March 2007 (exact date of arrest is unknown), when she was distributing truth-clarification materials. She was subjected to torture and extortion of money and goods.

16. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Mr. Huang Jiang Arrested in Broad Daylight

Practitioner Mr. Huang Jiang from Dongshan District of Guangzhou City was in a rush to go to work on the morning of March 20, 2007 at around 8:30 a.m. When he had just walked down the stairs, he was arrested by police from the Dongshan District 610 Office, the Jianshe Street Police Station of Dongshan District, as well as by the local CCP Residential Committee. The arrest was witnessed by many people. A witness recognized that some of the plainclothes police officers were from the Jianshe Street Police Station. On the afternoon of the same day, police went to Mr. Huang Jiang's home to harass and threaten his family members.

17. [Shanwei City, Guangdong Province] Three Practitioners Including Ms. Chen Xiangteng Illegally Held by the 610 Office

Shortly after the New Year, the 610 Office of Shanwei City and Haifeng City illegally held practitioners Ms. Chen Xianteng, a practitioner by the given name of Axiong (surname unknown), and another practitioner with the surname of Li. Ms. Chen Xianteng's computer and other property were confiscated. Their current situation is not clear.

18. [Wu'an City, Hebei Province] Supplementary Information on the Arrests of Three Practitioners

Three practitioners from a village in Wu'an City, Ms. Lu Guoxia, Ms. Li Gaiye, and Ms. Li Haiqi, were arrested by police from the local police station and taken there on March 21, 2007, when they were distributing truth-clarification materials. Subsequently, they were taken into the Wu'an Detention Center by the deputy director of the Wu'an City Police Department, Chen Fuhe (male) at 3:00 a.m. the following morning. At 4:00 p.m. on the afternoon of March 22, 2007, police went to ransack the practitioners' home.

At a little past 2:00 p.m. on the afternoon of March 18, 2007, police from the Xiaobutian Police Service District in Nanma Village, Songlindian Town, Zhuozhou City illegally arrested practitioner Ms. Lu Chunling from Han Village and confiscated copies of Zhuan Falun as well as other Falun Dafa reading materials and VCDs. They then extorted two thousand yuan from Ms. Lu's family members before Ms. Lu Chunling was released and some electronic instruments were returned.

20. [Huaiyang County, Henan Province] Practitioner Mr. Zhu Jinrong Arrested

Practitioner Mr. Zhu Jinrong from Huaiyang County was reported to police when he was clarifying the truth. On March 20, 2007, he was illegally arrested by the Lutai Township Police Station and was later taken to the Huaiyang County Detention Center where he was subjected to torture. On the same day, his home was ransacked.

Practitioner Mr. Tan Jinqing from Guiyang City was arrested and taken to the Lannigou Brainwashing Center of Guiyang City by the Baiyun District CCP Residential Committee, the 610 Office, and police from the Police Department of Guiyang City. While locked inside the room, monitored by two roommates, guarded by three dogs, isolated by two layers of iron doors, and with monitoring devices watching him, Mr. Tan Jinqing walked out from the Lannigou Brainwashing Center of Guiyang City on March 17, 2007.

After the State Security Division of the Mudanjiang City failed to extort money or property from the family members of practitioners Ms. Zhu Xiucheng and Ms. Zhao Jingchun, they took these two practitioners to the Suihua City Forced Labor Camp.

23. [Dongfeng County, Jilin Province] Practitioner Mr. Dong Lianhui Arrested

At a little past 4:00 p.m. on March 22, 2007, the Dongfeng Town Police Station mobilized over ten people led by Jiang Liwu (male) to illegally ransack the homes of Dafa practitioners. Practitioner Mr. Dong Lianhui was illegally arrested. Reportedly, a copy of Zhuan Falun was confiscated. Mr. Dong is currently being held in the Dongfeng County Detention Center.

24. [Jilin Province] The National Security Department and the Police Department of Jilin Province Harass Falun Dafa Practitioners

In the later half of March 2007, the National Security Department, the police department, the 610 Office and the State Security Division of Jilin City started a new round of persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. They used the excuse of examining the living space of those who have low insurance, to enter everyone's home to search for practitioners. They also instructed two people dismissed from work in the region under the control of the Lianhua Street Police Station of Changyi District, two security guards, two police officers, and two patrol officers to enter the homes of local practitioners in the district to secretly monitor practitioners around the clock. They arranged six people inside while two people were outside of a practitioner's home to constantly harass the practitioners' family members. They stayed there three days and three nights, and claimed that they would not leave unless the practitioners were handed over to them.

On March 2, 2007, the Fushun Daily published a report on its B3 page, entitled, "Respecting Science Starts From Oneself." The report described a "ritual" held on the morning of February 17, 2007, on the Fushuncheng Street of Shuncheng District, Fushun City. The article aimed to poison adolescents by spreading slanderous material about Falun Dafa. During the so-called ritual, a propaganda film defaming Falun Dafa was shown and 8,728 adolescents signed their names on a banner that defamed Falun Dafa.
