1. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Baisheng Arrested
On the evening of March 9, Mr. Zhang Baosheng, a practitioner from Baoding City, Hebei Province, was arrested while posting Falun Dafa materials in Zhongyu Village, Mancheng County. Mr. Zhang is being held in an undisclosed location in Mancheng County.
2. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Deng Qingxinag Detained
On February 15, 2007, Ms. Deng Qingxiang, a practitioner from Hongqi residential community in the Yuhua District, Changsha City, Hunan Province, was taken away from her home by local residential police officers. She is being held in the Changsha City Detention Center in Hunan Province.
3. [Liaoning Province] Mr. Bai Heguo Tortured in Huazi PrisonOn January 20, 2007, Mr. Bai Heguo's family visited him at Huazi Prison in Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province. They found that Mr. Bai was on a hunger strike protesting abuses by prison authorities. He was physically weak and is being closely monitored by three inmates.

4. [Huaian City, Jiangsu Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Practitioners Ms. Zhang Meihua, Ms. He Ru'e, and Ms. Sun Yinchun were taken into custody by police. Their whereabouts are unknown.
5. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Ms. Shi Xiuqin Taken into Custody for Clarifying the Truth
Ms. Shi Xiuqin, in her 60s, is a practitioner from Hanting District in Weifang City, Shandong Province. At around 9:00 a.m. on March 14, 2007, she was handcuffed and taken into custody by a plainclothes police officer while clarifying the truth in Yangjiabu Farmer's Market in the Hanting District.
6. [Shuanyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Li Shuwen Arrested
On February 6, 2007, Mr. Li Shuwen, a practitioner from Qixingkuang in Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested by local police while he was clarifying the truth. At 8:00 p.m. that night, the police searched his home, confiscating a notebook computer, two cellphones, and some Falun Dafa materials.
7. [Zhangqiu City, Shandong Province] The Police Arrested Mr. Song Xianyun and Extorted Money from His Family
On March 6, 2007, Mr. Song Xianyun, a practitioner from Zhangqiu City, Shandong Province, was working in his own store. Two police officers arrived and took away Mr. Song's Falun Dafa books and copies of truth-clarification brochures. On March 7, when Mr. Song Xianxun went to Zaoyuan Town's farmer's market, he was taken into custody by Jiang Siguo (male) and several other officers from the Zaoyuan Police Station. When his family went to the police station demanding his release, the police demanded 5,000 yuan in cash and then told Mr. Song's family to write Guarantee Statements before they would let him go. As Mr. Song and his family were returning home, Jiang Siguo and several officers followed them. They then dragged Mr. Song back to the police station. Mr. Song's family went to the police station and argued with the authorities until he was released.
8. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Tan Tongqing and Ms Yang Rixin Taken into Custody
At around 11:00 p.m. on March 12, 2007, Ms. Tan Tongqing and Ms. Yang Rixin, practitioners from Maoming City, Guangdong Province, were taken into custody in Gaoshan Town. On March 13, officers from Gaoshan and Niutou police stations searched their homes. The two practitioners are being held in the Maoming Detention Center.

9. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Additional Information on Mr. Ren Huaiqiang
On January 14, 2007, practitioner Mr. Ren Huaiqiang, an employee of the Electrolytic Aluminum Factory of the Yanzhou Mining Group Company, was taken to the Yanzhou City Brainwashing Center by officers led by Zheng Li (male), head of the State Security Division of the Jidong Police Department. Mr. Ren resisted the persecution by going on a hunger strike with righteous thoughts. The brainwashing center refused to admit him and he returned home. His wife, Ms. Jiang Guimei, was also taken to the Zoucheng City Detention Center on the same day. One month later, she was transferred to the Shandong Province Women's Forced Labor camp to serve 18 months of forced labor.
On February 15, Mr. Ren was again taken into custody by Zheng Li (male) and other officers from the State Security Division of Jidong Police Department. He was denied admission by the forced labor camp because of his irregular heartbeat and blood pressure. He was taken back to the security section of the Electrolytic Factory. Because of Mr. Ren's strong righteous thoughts and his abstaining from both food and water, the State Security Division was afraid of what might happen to him, so they transferred him back to the factory's security section for surveillance.
At 9:00 a.m. on March 12, 2007, Zheng Li, head of the State Security Division of Jidong Police Department, and other officers, forcibly took Mr. Ren Huaiqiang away from his parents' home and sent him to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province. Both Mr. Ren, and his wife, Ms. Jiang, have been sent to the labor camp. Their daughter had to drop out of school due to a lack of financial resources. Their daughter and her teenage younger brother are both being taken care of by their grandparents. The Ren family is facing extreme difficulties.
10. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhou Li Taken into Custody
On the morning of March 2, 2007, practitioner Ms. Zhou Li from the Dachang District in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, was taken into custody while posting truth-clarification materials. Police subsequently searched her home. Ms. Zhou is being held in a women's detention center near Jiangdongmen in Nanjing City. Ms. Zhou was tortured to the point of losing consciousness while she was being pressed to provide leads.
In addition, between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on March 7, a dozen police officers from Sanpan Police Station in the Dachang District and the Shuangtang Police Station searched Ms. Zhou's parents' home. Her parents are also practitioners.
11. [Diaobingshan City, Liaoning Province] Additional Persecution Facts Regarding Ms. Bai Ying
Practitioner Ms. Bai Ying was on hunger strike, resisting persecution, after being taken into custody on March 1. On March 6, after practitioners' sending forth righteous thoughts as well as her family's repeated demands for her release, police told Ms. Bai's family to take her home. On March 11, Zhang Fenglai (gender unknown) and Wang Xueping (gender unknown) and other officers attempted to take Ms. Bai away again. Ms. Bai managed to escape before they arrived. The officers coerced her family into paying 4,000 yuan in cash by threatening that they would otherwise shutdown the store that Ms. Bai's family operates. The police also searched the homes of all the practitioners who are on their list in order to locate and catch Ms. Bai Ying.

12. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Li Shuwen Taken into Custody
On February 7, 2007, Mr. Li Shuwen, a practitioner from the Qixing Mine, was taken into custody while distributing truth-clarification materials. His home was also searched. Mr. Li is being held in the Shuangyashan City Detention Center.
13. [Qian'an City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Qing'e and Ms. Gao Shulan Arrested
At around 11:00 a.m. on March 14, 2007, officers from the Jianchangying Town Police Station in Qian'an City, Hebei Province, suddenly broke into practitioner Ms. Gao Shulan's home. The officers took her to the Jianchangying Town Police Station. These officers, along with other officers from the Qian'an City Security Division, conducted simultaneous searches of Ms. Gao's home, her daughter's home (her daughter is not a practitioner), and another home belonging to practitioner Ms. Li Qing'e. The officers took away some Falun Dafa books and an MP3 player from the two practitioners' homes. They also took away her daughter's old photocopier, which was no longer in use. The two practitioners are in their late 60s and early 70s.

14. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yulan Arrested
On the evening of March 13, officers from the Shenyang City 610 Office and officers from the Xiaojinqiao Police Station in the Dadong District arrived at practitioner Ms. Zhang Yulan's home in Yingbin Garden in the Yuhong District of Shenyang City. The officers searched Ms. Zhang's home while no one who lived there was present. On the morning of March 14, they arrived at Ms. Zhang's son's home in the Dadong District and took her to the Xiaojinqiao Police Station in the Dadong District.

On the evening of March 5, 2007, Ms. Lin Bingju, a practitioner from Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, was taken into custody while distributing truth-clarification materials in the Haizhu District in Guangzhou City. Ms. Lin is being held at the Nanzhou Road Detention Center in the Haizhu District, Guangzhou City.
16. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Guifang Arrested
On March 12, 2007, practitioner Ms. Liu Guifang from the Zhangdian District in Zibo City, Shandong Province, was taken into custody by officers from the No. 1 Crime Response Team in Zibo City. Her home was also searched.
17. [Hulan City, Heilongjiang Province] Additional Persecution Facts Regarding Mr. Zhang Jian
Practitioner Mr. Zhang Jian is being held in Hulan Prison in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. On February 7, 2007, Mr. Zhang was beaten by prison guards Liu Lingfeng (male) and Liu Kai (male). The guards also ordered inmates to beat Mr. Zhang. They smashed his head against a glass window and then told him to commit suicide. Mr. Zhang Jian is being held in a Small Cell for escalated persecution.

18. [Jinchang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Mao Wei Arrested
On March 13, 2007, Dai Baoji (male), Zhang Shuwei (male), and several other officers affiliated with the Jinchuan Company in Jinchang City, Gansu Province, arrested practitioner Mr. Mao Wei. They also searched Mr. Mao's home. Mr. Mao's wife and child suffered mentally.
19. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yang Mingjiu Arrested
Practitioner Mr. Yang Mingjiu, in his 40s, works at a chemical plant in Changchun City. On the evening of March 9, he was arrested by the Weixing Police Station and the Changchun City Police Department.

20. [Chongqing] Ms. Yang Shuqiong Arrested
At noon on March 12, practitioner Ms. Yang Shuqiong from Changhua Hospital in the Changshou District, Chongqing, was taken into custody while she was distributing truth-clarification materials at Guankou. Her home was searched. She is being held in Chongqing.
21. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Weijing Taken into Custody
Practitioner Ms. Wang Weijing, about 50 years old, lives in Pingfang Village, Pingfang Township in the Chaoyang District, Beijing. At noon on March 12, 2007, she was taken into custody at her work unit by officers from the Pingfang Village Police Station. She remains in custody. Ms. Wang works at the Senior Care Center in Pingfang Township.
22. [Huili County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Dong Xiuqun and Ms. Li Gunxiu Arrested
On March 9, 2007, practitioners Ms. Dong Xiuqun and Ms. Li Guanxiu from Huili County went to Aiguo Village Elementary School to tell the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were turned in by parents of the students. Yang Shaoliang, head of the Huili County State Security Division, led officers to take the two practitioners into custody. Ms. Dong and Ms. Li are being held in the detention center.
Ms. Dong Xiuqun is the eldest sister of practitioners Dong Jiahe and Li Tianhua, both of whom are being held in Xinhua Forced Labor Camp in Sichuan Province.
23. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested
During the Chinese Spring Festival season (The Chinese Lunar New Year's Day was on February 18, 2007), nine practitioners from Xi'an Jiaotong University were held in custody in a government building of Shaanxi Province in Xi'an City. All information regarding the practitioners has been withheld.
24. [Shanghai] Ms. Yu Lijuan and Ms. Zhou Zhaoqin Arrested
On the afternoon of March 7, 2007, Ms. Yu Lijuan and Ms. Zhou Zhaoqin, practitioners from Pudong New District in Shanghai, went to Nanyang Residential Village to distribute truth clarification materials. They were stopped as soon as they went into the residential area. The two practitioners are being held in the Chuansha Detention Center in Pudong New District.
25. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuyun Arrested
Ms. Zhang Xiuyun, 54, lives in the residential area near Yongqiang Market on Jiangwan Road in Jilin City, Jilin Province. At around 5:00 p.m. on March 1, 2007, she was taken into custody by four police officers while she was clarifying the truth near Tianjin Street. Ms. Zhang is being held in the Jilin City Detention Center.
26. [City] Ms. Fan Anrong Arrested
Ms. Fan Anrong, 23, is from Jiangjin City, Chongqing. When she was 14, she started practicing Falun Dafa with her practitioner mother.
In January 2007, Ms. Fan went to work at Xinshiji Supermarket located in Shipingqiao in the Jiulongpo District. Around February 14, 2007, Ms. Fan Anrong was secretly arrested by state security police at a production site for Falun Gong materials in Shiqiaobu. Her whereabouts are unknown.

On March 13, 2007, practitioner Mr. Li Gang from Weifang City, Shandong Province, was arrested on his way to work by officers from the Kuiwen Police Station. The police subsequently searched his home.
28. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] Additional Persecution Facts about Arrested Practitioners
On March 2, 2007, practitioner Ms. Nie Shengwei was sentenced to eight years in prison. She is being held in the Xinxiang City Women's Prison in Henan Province. Practitioner Ms. Han Dongshun, who was arrested along with Ms. Nie, was sentenced to eight years in prison, and Ms. Yan Xiuying, ten years. Ms. Han and Ms. Yan were transferred to Xinxiang Women's Prison on February 28, 2007.
