(Clearwisdom.net) On March 7, 2007, practitioners Mr. Tao Fu and Mr. Shi Lagen from Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, were arrested by police. That night, one of the truth-clarification materials production sites was ransacked. Practitioner Mr. Tu Guohuan and his wife were arrested at their home. Their computer, printer, CD player, motorcycle, and many Falun Dafa truth-clarification materials were confiscated. Recently, a few more practitioners whose names are not known have been arrested in Nanchang City. At present, Mr. Shi Lagen is being detained and tortured in the No. 1 Detention Center in Nanchang City.
According to insiders, officers at the detention center boasted that they would beat Mr. Shi to death and force him to reveal the identity of more practitioners. At least nine practitioners have been arrested since. One of Mr. Shi Lagen's ribs was broken from a beating. Mr. Wei Qiang was beaten until he was bleeding from his eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. Another practitioner was beaten to unconsciousness.
The Public Security Department has said that the authorities have secretly ordered the complete disintegration of Falun Gong before the 2008 Olympic Games, and an increase in the degree of persecution. Several truth-clarification materials production sites have been destroyed.
