(Clearwisdom.net) Over two thousand years ago, Shang Yang (390?-338 B.C.) advocated the doctrine "let the treacherous rule the kindhearted." He stated in "Shangjunshu" (Shang's Article) that a nation governed by good people resulted in chaos and destruction, while a nation led by the treacherous would become strong and well ruled. Shang Yang proposed to have gangsters and criminals govern the common people, to have the wicked ward off the kindhearted, and that this was the only way to maintain a dictatorship for criminals.
In today's civilized society, this erroneous notion must be discarded. But the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) uses it as its secret weapon, and it is evident in they way it persecutes Falun Gong practitioners. They customarily jail practitioners together with criminals sentenced to death or to life-time imprisonment, and they instigate these criminals to "help and teach"â€"which actually means to monitor and tortureâ€"practitioners. Since the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, blood has permeated the land of China, moans fill the prisons, and people tear each other apart like wild animalsâ€"this is the real face of a gangster-run administration. CCP rule is a true example of the "treacherous ruling the land."
This practice is prevalent in all aspects of Chinese society. To collect taxes in farming areas, the government uses local thugs to enforce the collections They are highly skilled in using force and persuasion to silence the voices of the common people. They will torture anyone who does not comply with their demands, and every tactic imaginable is used to prevent locals in villages, townships and districts from appealing to higher authorities. In larger towns and cities, local thugs are used to seize properties from the common people. This kind of governance looks successful and smooth on the surface because people comply under the brutal pressure. But in reality, the society has become a pressure cooker of boiling troubles, which, if is does explode, could result in society's collapse.
At present, there are close to 20 million Chinese citizens who recognize the evil nature of the CCP and have publicly renounced their association with the CCP. These enlightened people will not permit the tyranny to continue. This is the inevitable trend of social development and historical progression.
