Cleveland, Ohio: Falun Gong Part of Local St. Patrick's Day Parade (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The 140th St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Cleveland, Ohio, was held On March 17, 2007. The Falun Gong group, with mostly Chinese faces, drew a lot of attention.

Waist drummer

A big banner reading “Falun Dafa” led the practitioners' entry in the parade. The float, on which practitioners demonstrated the exercises, followed. After the float, there was another banner saying “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” followed by a group of waist drummers.

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is the biggest parade in Cleveland. It lasts two hours. More than 100 thousand people attended the parade and 300 thousand people watched on television.

The spectators were attracted to the Falun Gong entry. Some of them danced along with the waist drums and imitated practitioners’ doing the exercises.

After the parade, reporters from a local TV station were interested in learning the exercises and interviewed some practitioners.
