(Clearwisdom.net) I am very thankful to have this opportunity today to share with everyone some of my understandings and experiences in clarifying the truth through anti-torture exhibitions.
For the past two years, regardless of the weather, rain or shine, we have continued with the anti-torture truth-clarification activities in Brisbane's City Centre.
All practitioners cooperate closely by arriving at the activity site promptly and quickly setting up the exhibition and display boards. Our purpose was to expose the evil Chinese Communism Party's (CCP's) brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, and to let the people know the true nature of the CCP. We employed picture displays as well as anti-torture re-enactments. Sometimes it was necessary for us to remain motionless in the same position for 2 or 3 hours. Sometimes it would rain and we would be soaked from head to toe. However, this little bit of hardship we experienced was nothing when compared with practitioners in China, who risk their lives to validate the Fa and save sentient beings. Those practitioners are enduring the agony of torture and even loss of their flesh bodies.
Over the past couple of years, as we travelled with our exhibition, we met people from all walks of life with various attitudes. Some people supported us wholeheartedly. Others, who refused to learn the truth at the beginning, changed their attitudes through our truth clarification and became sympathetic and supportive. After the live organ harvesting atrocities were exposed, we added content about them to our display. I remember one nurse who said, "This is a very unfortunate thing that is happening in China." Then she picked up our petition board to ask passers-by to sign their names. There were also some people whom, after reading the truth clarification material and our displays, knelt down with teary eyes and with their hands in Heshi position. Then they would walk over to sign our petition.
I remember one morning, an elderly Chinese man saw our display boards about the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and started to verbally abuse us. He maintained that our display boards were damaging to the reputation and prestige of the Chinese people. He also declared that he did not believe these things actually happened.
Afterwards, he called the police while continuing to abuse us with an increasingly louder voice. Many people noticed, and stopped to observe, some were looking at us with strange expressions. At that moment, we all came to understand that it was a good opportunity to clarify the truth.
We sent forth righteous thoughts to clear the field, while compassionately talking, and handing out materials to the people around us.
Later, the man accepted a copy of the Nine Commentaries with a bit of reluctance and he also took some other truth clarification materials before he left. The following week, he appeared again at our site, but this time he no longer abused us. Instead he quietly and conscientiously read all our display boards and then left deep in thought. From the perspective of the Fa, we understand that people today have all come for the Fa, and every person in the world has a knowing side.
As we clarified the truth at our anti-torture exhibitions, we would often encounter sabotage and harassment from evil CCP spies. One time, a spy complained to the police that we were breaking the law by blocking the streets. Soon a couple of police in uniform arrived. We showed them our permit from the city council while sending forth righteous thoughts and actively clarifying the truth to them.
The policemen then indicated that we could continue with our activities. Shortly afterwards, a fashionably dressed woman came to us to sign the petition. She said, "Do you recognize me?" It turned out that she was one of the police officers in uniform who came by earlier. Clearly, she had learned the truth during the earlier incident.
Afterwards, we went to the police headquarters to clarify the truth to them further, and gave them the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in English. They promised on the spot that they would pass a message to all police stations around the city not to disturb our truth clarification activities in the future.
After these two incidents, we gained a deeper understanding of these words in "Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. International Fa Conference":
"So as a cultivator, what is truly remarkable is when you can be steadfast and have righteous thoughts so firm that nothing can sway you. Be solid and firm like diamond, or granite, and then nothing can affect you--evil will be afraid at the mere sight of you. If upon encountering trying circumstances your thinking can be truly righteous, then, when faced with the evil's persecution and when faced with interference, just one sentence of yours fortified with steadfast righteous thoughts can instantly make the evil disintegrate (applause), and it will make those who are being used by the evil turn and flee, it will make the evil's persecution of you dissolve, and it will make the evil's interfering with you disappear without a trace. One thought born of righteous faith is all it takes. And whoever can hold firm that righteous thought and go the distance will become a magnificent god forged by Dafa."
Next I will share regarding the xinxing tests I encountered while taking part in anti-torture truth clarification activities, as well as the persecution and interference on my flesh body by the old forces. On one occasion my abdomen suddenly became swollen and I experienced sharp agonizing pain which quickly worsened. I almost passed out due to the pain. My family (also practitioners) immediately sat around me to send forth righteous thoughts.
At that moment a thought flashed in my mind: I am Teacher's Fa Rectification Period Dafa Disciple, with the great mission and responsibility of saving sentient beings. I will firmly walk the cultivation path Teacher has arranged for me, and firmly deny the persecution and interference forced upon me by the old forces. Even if I had loopholes in my cultivation, I would not accept the evil persecution.
The old forces are unworthy of testing me! I have Teacher, and I have the Fa. I will keep my flesh body to save more sentient beings and fulfil the oath I made to Teacher in prehistoric times! Gradually, I woke up. Even though the pain kept me up throughout the night, I endured the immense agony, and still participated in the anti-torture and truth clarification activities the next day. During the activity, the swelling in my abdomen caused bleeding to occur. In the hot summer weather, I sometimes wore a Chinese police costume during the re-enactment and stood for four hours at a time.
However, I never faltered, and finally, I broke through this tribulation.
After the Nine Commentaries was published, one day while I was making display frames at home, the phone rang. When I rushed over to pick up the phone, my toe hit a cupboard. It hit so hard that half of the toe was pushed back into the foot. Still, I endured the immense pain and never allowed it to affect any of my truth clarification activities.
A few months later, while on my way to a truth clarifying activity, I fell into a gutter and twisted my left foot. However, all this interference did not move my resolution to take part in anti-torture and truth clarification activities. I carried on doing what a Dafa disciple should do. I recognized the urgency to save sentient beings and that every second is a period in history! I want to be a qualified Fa Rectification period Dafa disciple.
