1. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Fan Xuebin Arrested
Police arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Fan Xuebin from his home in Yingkou City early in the morning on January 29, 2007. They confiscated his computer, a printer, over 2000 blank CDs, a CD-writer and some other materials. At the moment Mr. Fan is detained at the custodial station in Yingkou City. He was arrested after a patrol officer intercepted him on his way home with a box of blank CDs on his motorcycle.
Fan Xuebin comes from a poor family. He is a plumber and doesn't earn much money. He has a disabled sister who suffers from dementia and relies entirely on him to look after her everyday needs.

2. [Anxiang County, Hunan Province] Police Arrest Elderly Falun Dafa Practitioners Zhou Xiangan and Zhang Fuzhen
Falun Dafa practitioners Zhou Xiangan and Zhang Fuzhen from Chengguan Town, Anxiang County, Hunan Province, are in their sixties. At about 10:00 a.m. on January 30, 2007, local police broke into their homes, forcibly arrested them, and illegally confiscated their photocopier. They are now detained at the custodial station in Anxiang County.

There are sixteen wards in Baoding Prison in Hebei Province, or seventeen including a ward that detains temporary inmates. Every ward has Falun Dafa practitioners who are illegally detained. About 123 practitioners are currently detained there.

It has been two months since police arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Huaixing from his home at 8:00 p.m. on December 6, 2006. He is from Chengzhuang Village, Lianzhen Township, Dongguang County. His case is now being delivered to the court.

5. [Yanshi City, Henan Province] Recent Situation on the Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Sun Yaoting
Policeman Zhang Ruijun and others forcibly arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Sun Yaoting from Yanshi City on December 23, 2006. She is now detained at the custodial station in Yanshi City. Police headed by Zhang illegally confiscated her two computers, one printer, and over 2000 yuan in cash. They also stole an MP3 player that belonged to her son and some other materials, valued at 10,000 yuan. She has been on a hunger strike for over a month to protest the persecution. She suffers from pulmonary tuberculosis and vomits blood. Her life is in grave danger. Her family went to the Public Security Bureau and the custodial station many times to demand her release but were refused.

6. [Qingyuan County, Hebei Province] Mr. Shang Lixin Still Illegally Detained at the Brainwashing Center
Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Shang Lixin and Ms. Liu Xiaoqin from Beiwangli Village, Qingyuan County were illegally arrested by Wang Fuzeng and others from Beiwangli Village on December 31, 2006. On January 10, 2007, Wang Fuzeng lead Si Tianhu and more than ten other people to arrest her family members and other Falun Gong practitioners who were clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to them. Arrested Falun Gong practitioners include Ms. Wang Jianchun, Ms. Wang Xinrui and Mr. Meng Yong. Wang Xinrui, Meng Yong, Liu Xiaoqin and Shang Lixin's brother-in-law were released and have returned home, but Shang Lixin is still illegally detained at the brainwashing center in Qingyuan County.
7. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Li Zengyan from Shengli Oil Field Arrested and Sent to Brainwashing Center
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Zengyan is in her fifties, and her husband works in the Shengli Oil Refinery Factory in Shengli Oil Field. One day in early July 2007, as soon as she stepped out her door, waiting police grabbed her keys, opened her door and ransacked her home. They illegally confiscated books and other materials. Li Zengyan is currently detained at the brainwashing center of the Shengli Oil Refinery Factory.
8. [Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province] Two Elderly Falun Dafa Practitioners Arrested
On the morning of February 3, 2007, elderly Falun Dafa practitioners Peng and Cao went to clarify the truth in Haiyang Town, located in the suburban area of Qinhuangdao City, but they were reported to the police. They were arrested and sent to the No 2 Custodial Station in Qinhuangdao City. Cao was released and returned home due to severe symptoms.
9. [Beijing] Ms. Peng Guiqin and Two Other Falun Dafa Practitioners Arrested
On January 24, 2007, police from the National Protection Team under the Public Security Bureau in Fangshan District, Beijing rushed to the Fozhizhuang Township and arrested a Falun Dafa practitioner by the surname of Zhang. Police claimed that the reason for the arrest was that he practices Falun Gong.
On February 1, Ms. Peng Guiqin from Zhuangzhi Village, Zhendong Township, Hebei Province was arrested. On January 18, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Shifeng from Zhendong Township, Hebei Province was reported to the police for clarifying the truth to people and she was arrested. Both of them are now detained in the brainwashing center in the Anzhuang Garment Factory in Liang Township. Their families went to the brainwashing center to demand their release but were refused.

10. [Wuhan, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhou Yao Sent to Brainwashing Center by 610 Office Instead of Being Released as Scheduled
On February 4, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhou Yao from Wuhan City was supposed to be released from the No 2 Custodial Station. Her family went to the No 2 Custodial Station in Hanyang District early in the morning only to find that Zhou Yao had been transferred the day before. After inquiring through many channels, the family learned that because she had refused to write the so-called Three Statements, the City 610 Office, the City Public Security Bureau, and the 610 Office in Jiangan District took her and sent her directly to the Zhenjiaji Brainwashing Center, where she has been tortured.
11. [Guangxi Province] Crimes Committed by Litang Prison
For years police from the Litang Prison in Guangxi Province used inhumane methods to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. These methods include: limiting the time for showering and washing clothes, prohibiting family visits, prohibiting making phone calls, prohibiting writing to families, and limiting the quantity of food purchase. They handcuff practitioners to trees and to the basketball stand and shock them with electricity for consecutive days and nights.
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liang Shengping from Nanning City was arrested and sent to the brainwashing center. Officials from the 610 Office threatened and deceived his parents and relatives with the intention of turning Mr Liang against Dafa. Parents and relatives came to see him and knelt down and begged him in tears to give up Falun Gong. Liang refused to give up his belief, so the officials deprived him of sleep for six consecutive days and nights. In the winter they tortured him with cold wet towels, making him numb. They then forced him to watch fabricated bloody videos and threatened him.
Officers deprived Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Nong Youyue from Baise City of sleep for seven consecutive days and nights.
12. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhang Qifeng Arrested
On January 24, 2007, police from the 610 Office in Pi County and from Ande Town arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Qifeng from Pi County, Chengdu City. Her whereabouts is unknown.
13. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Yang Li Arrested
On February 1, 2007, officials from the 610 Office of the Public Security Bureau in Urumqi City illegally arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yang Li from Banfanggou. They confiscated two computers, one from her office and the other from her home, and one printer. They didn't find any evidence in the computers, but they took Yang Li away for a non-existent crime and didn't notify her family.
14. [Jianwei County, Sichuan Province] Tian Fengming, Yang Youqin and Yu Faquan Arrested
In late January 2007, police arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Tian Fengming from Jianwei County, Leshan City, Sichuan Province when she was handing out truth-clarifying materials. Police threatened her son, who doesn't practice Falun Gong, and he told them the names of practitioners who often visited his mom. This led to the damage of more than two material centers, and practitioner Ms. Yang Xouqin's home to be ransacked. About one thousand CDs were taken from practitioner Mr. Yu Faquan's home, and these two practitioners are still illegally detained.

15. [Laiyuan County, Hebei Province] Further Developments of Ms. Li Yanping's Case: Public Prosecutor Made Up Evidence
On January 25, 2007, the Laiyuan County Court illegally put Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Yanping from Houquanfang Village, Laiyuan County on trial. The evidence the public prosecutor presented in court was all made up. He ridiculously presented fabricated evidence on behalf of Li Yanping's husband. In reality, neither Wei Jinkui, Bai Shutian, Zhang Fang, policemen from the Public Security Bureau nor the public prosecutor from the Procuratorate ever approached her husband for information about Li Yanping after her arrest. Her husband was very angry at their false claims and was about to expose it on the spot, but he was stopped for no reason. When Li Yanping began to mention how the police from the Public Security Bureau tortured her and violently gathered evidence by force, the judge stopped her by saying that the incident would be investigated outside the court.
Within the last seven years, more than thirty people from Laiyuan County, Liaoning Province have been sentenced to prison and forced labor camps. Three people were tortured to death.
