(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 23 cities or counties in 14 provinces. In this report, 22 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 28 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Practitioners Mr. Xu Jiming and Ms. Han Lanying Illegally Arrested
Practitioner Mr. Xu Jiming lives at Guxinzhuang Village in Tongzhaipu Township, Tanghe County in Nanyang City of Henan Province. He was turned in to the police while distributing truth-clarification materials. On November 25, 2007, he was illegally arrested by the police.
Ms. Han Lanying, who is close to 70 years old, was followed and unlawfully taken into custody on the afternoon of November 26, 2007.
2. [Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province] Additional Information on Mr. Wei Zhizhong, Mr. Cao Huashan, and Mr. Li Hengli, Taken into Custody
On October 30, 2007, Mr. Wei Zhizhong, Mr. Cao Huashan, and Mr. Li Hengli were taken into custody at Mr. Wei's work unit by Zhang Guoyao (male) and other officers of the Yan'an City Domestic and Security Division. The officers beat the three practitioners and confiscated computers and printers. Mr. Cao Huashan managed to escape afterwards. Mr. Wei Zhizhong and Mr. Li Hengli were taken into custody.

3. [Ningqiang County, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Chen Deben Taken into Custody
Practitioner Mr. Chen Deben, who is in his sixties, lives in Daijiaba Town, Ningqiang County in the Hanzhong area of Shaanxi Province. On November 25, 2007, officers from the Domestic Security Section of the Ningqiang County Police Department took him into custody.
4. [Wusheng County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Su Bin Taken to Guang'an Detention Center
Around October 29, 2007, Ms. Su Bin, who is around 65 years old and a retired employee of the Wusheng Electric Power Company, was taken to the Guang'an Detention Center by officers in Wusheng County in Guang'an City, Sichuan Province.
5. [Tianjin] Practitioner Ms. Zheng Kairong Arrested
At noon on November 19, 2007, practitioner Ms. Zheng Kairong was arrested at her home in Hetou Village, Tanggu District, Tianjin. Domestic security officers in Tanggu District took her to the Tanggu District Detention Center.
6. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Twelve Falun Gong Practitioners Unlawfully Held at Shuitou Forced Labor Camp
7. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Suying and Another Practitioner Taken into Custody
On the afternoon of November 14, 2007, Ms. Yang Suying and another practitioner in Luancheng County were reported to the police while clarifying the truth. Officers of the Chengguan Police Department and the Luancheng County 110 Emergency Response Police took the two practitioners into custody, and they have since remained in custody at the Niejiazhuang Detention Center in Luancheng County.
Ms. Yang Suying was taken into custody, but her 90-year-old mother needs care. Her husband is also ill, and their grandchild uncared for. Her family now lives in misery.

8. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Lijuan and Other Practitioners Secretly Put on Trial in Dabailou Detention Center
At 9:00 a.m. on November 27, 2007, officials secretly placed practitioners who were in custody there on trial in the Dabailou Detention Center. The following practitioners have been verified as having faced unlawful sentencing: Ms. Wang Lijuan, Ms. Li Naiyan, Ms. Yu Lixin, Ms. Xing Chunling, Ms. Chang Yan, Ms. Zeng Yan, Mr. Cui Bin, Mr. Zhao Lu, and one other female practitioner.
9. [Yilong County, Sichuan Province] Two Practitioners Unlawfully Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Two practitioners in Yilong County were unlawfully sentenced. One was sentenced to fourteen months and the other to four years of forced labor in May 2007 and October 2007 by the local court.
10. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Ms. Ge Shujuan Unlawfully Held in Custody
On the evening of November 1, 2007, Ms. Zhao Shuhuan and Ms. Ge Shujuan were taken into custody at the west section of the Liujiayuan Residential Community by officers of the Binhe Road Police Station in Laixi City. They were taken to the Laixi City Detention Center. Fifteen days later, Ms. Zhao was released. Ms. Ge is now being held at the Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City, Shandong Province. The police also searched the two practitioners' homes.
11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen and Other Practitioners Harassed by Police
At around 4:00 p.m. on November 4, 2007, the police took into custody practitioner Ms. Chen. Later she was released since she did not pass a physical exam.
Between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on November 5, 2007, the police suddenly broke into practitioner Mr. Cui's home and took him into custody. Mr. Cui was later released due to physical problems.
At around 9:00 p.m. on another evening, a dozen or so police officers climbed over the wall and broke into practitioner Ms. Han's home. She has been forced to leave town and has no place to stay.
12. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Practitioner Ms. Liu Yan Sent to Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province for Continued Persecution on November 23, 2007
13. [Beijing] Ms. Zhen Xiurong and Mr. Jiang Shiyuan Taken into Custody
On October 18, 2007, Ms. Zhen Xiurong and Mr. Jiang Shiyuan were taken into custody by officers of the Sujiatuo Town Police Station in Haidian District, Beijing. Ms. Zhen and Mr. Jiang have been transferred to the Houshajian Detention Center in Sujiatuo Town. They face forced labor terms.
14. [Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province] Additional Information on Ms. Chen Hongyan, Taken into Custody
On the afternoon of November 27, 2007, Ms. Chen Hongyan from Nanjie Town in Guangning County was turned in to the police while she was clarifying the truth in Gushui Town. Ms. Chen is being held at the Guangning County Detention Center.
15. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioners Ms. Huang Xiangling and Mr. Zhang Youyu Illegally Arrested
On November 13, 2007, Ms. Huang Xiangling and Mr. Zhang Youyu were reported to the police while they clarified the truth in Shizi Village, Mulan Town in Xindu District, Chengdu City. Officers of the Mulan Town Police Station subsequently illegally arrested them. The police searched Ms. Huang's home and confiscated a computer, a printer, and satellite reception devices. Ms. Huang is being held at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center. Mr. Zhang is being held at the Xindu Detention Center.

16. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Lin Zehua and Three Other Practitioners Face Unlawful Sentencing
Four practitioners were unlawfully arrested in Youyi County. Mr. Lin Zehua, Ms. Tian Guomin, Ms. Gu Yufen, and Ms. Song Jixiu, face unlawful prosecution by Shuangyashan City Procuratorate.
17. [Wenling City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Han Fugen and Other Practitioners Taken into Custody
Mr. Han Fugen, Ms. Mi Su, Chunhua (female, surname unknown), and another unknown practitioner were taken into custody on November 23, 2007.
18. [Jiaoling County, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Mr. Zhu Yu Taken into Custody
Mr. Zhu Yu, a practitioner in Jiaoling County, Guangdong Province, had been taken into custody by officers of the Jiaoling County 610 Office numerous times since the year 2000. He has previously been sent to labor camps and brainwashing centers. He has also been forced to leave town to avoid police harassment.
At 6:00 p.m. on November 20, 2007, Mr. Zhu was at work in an office supplies store when a group of police officers from the Luohu District Police Station rushed in. The officers took him into custody, confiscated two computers, and then went to his home to conduct an unlawful search.
19. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yue Jinyu and Ms. Lu Xiuying Held at Huadian City Detention Center
On November 22, 2007, Ms. Yue Jinyu and Ms. Lu Xiuying from Baishan Town, Huadian City were taken into custody. They are being held at the Huadian City Detention Center.
20. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Mr. Yi Zheng Arrested in Guangzhou City Late September 2007
21. [Chongqing] Practitioner Ms. Yu Shan Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Yu Shan lives in Nanping District, Chongqing. She had been unlawfully held at the Yubei District Detention Center and the Wangxiangtai Resort Brainwashing Center in Lushan Village. She has been sentenced to two years of forced labor, and her family has been denied visitation.
22. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Ms. Sun Jianling Taken into Custody
Practitioner Ms. Sun Jianling, who is around 70 years old, lives in Sunjiayangmeng Village, under the jurisdiction of the Kaiyuan Neighborhood Administration Office in Hanting District, Weifang City. On November 25, 2007, the police took her into custody at her home. The police also confiscated Falun Dafa books and satellite television reception equipment.
23. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Situation of Mr. Tong Huanxiang and His Wife
At around 8:00 a.m. on November 19, 2007, Mr. Tong Huanxiang's wife Ms. Guo Ying went to the High and New Technology Development District Police Department in Weihai City to demand the return of their car, personal computer, and 54,000 yuan in cash, which was unlawfully taken by the police. Officers in the Security Section asked Ms. Guo to sign a statement, which she declined. The police refused to return any of Ms. Guo's property.
Ms. Guo's husband Mr. Tong Huanxiang has been unlawfully sentenced to forced labor.
24. [Xushui County, Hebei Province] Practitioners Ms. Jing Qi and Ms. Jing Ying Arrested by 610 Office Agents
On the afternoon of November 27, 2007, agents of the Xushui County 610 Office arrested Mr. Jing Qi and Ms. Jing Ying at their home in Beipang Village, Xushui County, Baoding City, Hebei Province. The officers confiscated a personal computer, a printer, and truth-clarification materials.
25. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Practitioners Ms. Xie Yuequn and Mr. Xie Wenjie Unlawfully Sent to Forced Labor Camp
On the evening of October 15, 2007, Ms. Xie Yuequn and her younger brother Mr. Xie Wenjie, in Maoming City, Guangdong Province, went to the Gaoshan area in Maoming City to post truth-clarification materials. They were arrested by officers of the Gaoshan Police Station. The police also searched their home. The two practitioners have been held at the Maoming No. 1 Detention Center, and have been unlawfully sentenced to two years of forced labor.
26. [Dianbai County, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Ms. He Yanhua on Hunger Strike
In November 2007, practitioner Ms. He Yanhua was taken to the Maoming City No. 2 Detention Center. She has been on hunger strike protesting the abuse.
