"In other words, everything was created for this Fa-rectification, everything came here for this Fa-rectification, and everything within this process was established for this Fa-rectification. Everything of mankind--including life, matter, everything a person can come to know, comprehend, and arrive at an understanding of--exists for this Fa-rectification affair, and absolutely would not have come into existence otherwise." ("Fa Teaching at the 2007 New York Fa Conference")
Among different truth-clarification approaches, using cellphone text messages to spread the facts about Falun Dafa is fast and convenient. Anyone who receives the message will read it. It is also without borders. You can communicate with anyone, anywhere in the world. It has other unique features, too. For example, it is not limited by space or time. One can send a message anywhere, anytime. You can do it at home or when you are taking a walk, shopping, going out, or having a party. All your leisure time can be used for truth-clarification. Sending messages on the go also prevents the authorities from monitoring your cellphone's location. Now there are many awakened people who have very actively taken part in this activity so that they can accumulate their virtue and make up for their past wrongs, or they do it purely out of their righteousness.
I chose cellphone text messaging to clarify the truth because it suited my own situation. At first I followed the instructions on a pamphlet on how to determine whether a cellphone number was in service. If it was, I would send a short Dafa fact message to the person. Each connected call is a hope for a sentient being to be saved. All I needed was a cellphone. In the beginning, on the surface it looked extremely simple, but in reality all my attachments were exposed: "Would they ask questions?" "What kinds of questions?" "Would I be able to answer them?" "Would they call me names?" But then I thought: "Let me be clear why I am doing this. Am I not Teacher's disciple? Am I not going to tell people facts about Falun Gong? Am I not going to fulfill my pre-historic vows? With Teacher and the Fa, what else do I need to worry about? I must calm down right away to study the Fa and send forth righteous thoughts. I will treat everything with righteous thoughts."
Once I started, I was able to progress one step at a time. Gradually, those attachments disappeared. Correspondingly, my attachments in my daily affairs with ordinary people were reduced, too. The most important lesson I learned in this process is that "the purer one's heart is, the easier things become."
At the end of last year, I received my first message about quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. I used the cellphone to submit the contents and responded with the verification number. From then on, there were people quitting the CCP every day, and I responded to every one of them. People from mainland China started to use this method to quit the CCP one after another. In the beginning, I thought that my job was done once I responded to them, and I erased their messages shortly afterwards. But a couple of days later, probably due to Teacher's hint, I decided that I should copy the messages down very carefully, so I did it right away. Like a miracle, some time later, a fellow practitioner called me and asked, "Did you register for Mr. so and so on such and such a day? Did you respond to him?" I searched my records and was able to provide the registration number right away. Thank you, Teacher, for helping me.
Some sentient beings in mainland China who were waiting to be saved were very anxious. They would send two or three messages in a row. Some fellow practitioners from China would quit the CCP first and then reveal that they were a Falun Gong practitioner, and help many other sentient beings to quit the CCP. I have two cellphones. Both have become hotlines for quitting the CCP. Some families or friends of those who quit the CCP started sending in messages so that they could also quit the CCP. Every now and then, I also receive negative messages because some senders are poisoned by the Party culture. I simply ignore them.
Some people have responded to me with messages defaming Dafa and Teacher. What should I do? I got the idea to have our telephone team talk to them and clarify the facts about Falun Gong. Many misunderstandings were rectified by our telephone team. I also sent them my online chatting account ID so they could talk to me over the Internet.
Peculiar things happened sometimes. Instead of sending short messages, some people have actually called me. I wondered,"Should I take the call?" The ringing stopped in a moment and I did not need to wonder any more. But what should I do if they called again? Should I take it? Because of my attachment of being afraid to talk with them, I was looking for more excuses. What was going to happen was going to happen. One after another, many people called me. Teacher has said that with the presence of Teacher and Dafa, as long as we have righteous thoughts, Teacher will help us. What is there to be afraid of? The next time they call, I will definitely take the call without fear.
From mainland China, I kept receiving text messages such as "I don't know how to do text messaging, but I want to quit the CCP" or "I cannot do text editing with my cellphone. My phone can hold 300 words. Can you prepare a 300-word message for me so that I can send it out to spread the word" or "Where are you? Are you a Falun Gong practitioner?" Of course, there are also people who have sent texts containing gibberish and negative messages. In this process, much of my attachment of fear was reduced.
Aside from quitting the CCP, messages from mainland China have contained things such as: "We are practitioners from such and such an area. Please send greetings to Teacher for us. We wish our great Teacher a happy birthday" or "Such and such area policeman received karmic retribution for persecuting practitioners. He had a strange disease and the hospital was unable to treat it. He killed himself by jumping off a building" or "I want to join your organization." There are also many who describe their dissatisfaction with the current situation in China and give their support and thanks to practitioners. But there are also quite a few who don't understand Dafa practitioners.
Having been in so many different situations, what did I do when I could not handle them? I sought help from fellow practitioners. For those who call me names, I ask the telephone team to help. For those who ask for more information, I give them my Internet chat account number. For those who describe their feelings, support us, send greetings to Teacher, or tell me that wrongdoers have received retribution, I email the message to the hotline for quitting the CCP. One very difficult case I had was a message stating: "please rescue practitioner so and so."
While I have been able to do this job rather smoothly, I want to thank all fellow practitioners because all of us have formed a mutually supporting one body. I also want to thank a certain practitioner who found a low-cost phone carrier to reduce our financial burden. The above is my report. Please correct me if you see any deficiencies.
Finally I want to use Teacher's comment on the article"Do Not Differentiate Between Fa-Rectification Projects; 'A Great Way Has No Form' But Exists As a Whole" to call upon everyone to form a solid one body at this last moment, in order for us to save more people:
"Well said. Each person's cultivation path is different, the way in which each validates the Fa is different, their social statuses are different, their occupations are different, and their surroundings are different, but they can all cultivate nevertheless. This is the path Dafa presents to its cultivators. Dafa disciples are one body, and I affirm everything they have been doing during Fa-rectification--they are all doing what Dafa disciples should do. Different approaches are in fact the all-encompassing way in which roles are dynamically distributed in the operations of the Fa, and the Fa-power is a reflection of the one body.
