(Clearwisdom.net) On October 27, Taiwan practitioners held a large rally in Yilan City to support 27 million Chinese people who have formally withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. After a press conference, more than one thousand participants marched downtown.
The event was sponsored by the Falun Dafa Association of Taiwan, the Tuidang (Quitting the CCP) Service Center and the Epoch Times. At 10 a.m., a press conference was held at Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Park. Many local people, including a 104-year-old senior citizen, were attracted to the site by the performance of New Tang Dynasty TV's Flag and Drum troupe, the Divine Land Marching band and the Falun Gong Waist Drum Troupe.

Civic Leaders Condemn the CCP
Yilan government officials, elected representatives of various levels, teachers, physicians and lawyers attended the press conference. Yilan mayor Huang Ting-he, legislator Lin Chien-jung, county councilor Chiang Tsung-yuan, and many other officials and professionals gave speeches at the rally. Among them, legislator Lin Chien-jung sponsored a "Condemn the CCP Organ Harvesting Atrocities" resolution which was passed on April 18, 2006 in the Legislative Yuan (Congress), and county councilor Chiang Tsung-yuan is a member of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong Asia Division. The speakers unanimously expressed their support for Falun Gong and condemned the CCP's brutal persecution of the practice.

The press conference was hosted by Mr. Hung Teng-hsiang, principal of Hui-teng Middle School. He said: "In the past 50 years since the CCP came to power in 1949, its atrocities have led to the unnatural death of more than 80 million Chinese people. Most recently, it has been brutally persecuting Falun Gong practitioners and even harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Meanwhile, it has deployed nearly 1000 missiles aiming at Taiwan. All these tell us that the CCP treats Chinese people brutally. Today, more than 27 million brave Chinese people have formally withdrawn from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, providing a precious opportunity to dismantle the CCP peacefully. Therefore, we Taiwanese should support them."
Regarding the organ harvesting atrocities, principal Hung said: "From 1999 to now, according to an independent investigation report, 41,500 organs have come from unknown sources. Further investigation has revealed that most of these organs were from innocent Falun Gong practitioners who died after their organs were seized by the CCP. Such atrocities are inhumane. The CCP is not equivalent to China, and the CCP's fate is doomed. The 27 million withdrawals tell us that the CCP is soon to be destroyed."
In their speeches, every speaker condemned the organ harvesting atrocities and expressed their sincere respect for Falun Gong practitioners' unyielding spirit demonstrated during the 8-year persecution.
"Organ harvesting is an issue of human conscience and the whole world should condemn the CCP." Legislator Lin Chien-jung said.
Grand Parade in Small City
After the press conference, at 11:30 a.m., more than 1000 supporters held a grand parade in Yilan City. They displayed numerous posters and banners to spread the message that the CCP will soon be destroyed by Heaven. Led by the Divine Land Marching Band, the parade started from Sen Yah-ren Memorial Park and crossed Yilan's downtown area. The parade attracted many people to watch and received wide support.

As the first-ever grand parade in support of quitting the CCP in Eastern Taiwan, this parade received wide attention from local citizens. The onlookers were amazed by the eye-opening Divine Land Marching Band, the solemn Flag and Drum Troupe, the beautiful Celestial Maiden Troupe, and the Falun Gong Exercise Demonstration, all of whom presented authentic traditional Chinese culture. People were also shocked by the CCP's brutality revealed by the parade.

A lady said: "The CCP has done too many evil things to Chinese people." She supported Falun Gong practitioners and said that she loved the Divine Land Marching Band.
While marching on Sun Yat-Sen Blvd, a gentleman shouted: "Keep up!" There was another gentleman who followed the parade for quite while. While walking with the parade, he repeatedly saluted toward the parade to show his respect

After the parade, the Divine Land Marching Band, the NTDTV Flag and Drum Troupe and the Waist Drum Troupe went to Luo-tung Township to give performances and promote Falun Dafa.
