(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of October 1, 2007, the Queensland Service Center for Quitting the CCP held an activity opposite the Chinese Consulate in Brisbane to mourn for "China's National Day." Participants called on the Chinese people to separate themselves from the brutal CCP as soon as possible and stand up against the persecution.
The eye-catching banners and phrases were held high in front of the Chinese Consulate and attracted the attention of many pedestrians. People were shocked when they saw the pictures of brutal torture inflicted on Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP. Many people who already knew the truth lined up to sign the petition, opposing the callous crimes of the CCP.
A practitioner who participated in the event said, "Australians are very concerned about the persecution of Falun Gong in China." He said that all truth-clarifying pamphlets that had been prepared for the event were handed out within the three-hour time frame. Moreover, many Chinese international students looked attentively at the display boards, and numerous tourists from China accepted the truth-clarifying materials.
On the same night, practitioners continued to spread the facts at a celebratory function held by the Chinese Consulate. They spoke to fellow Chinese who attended the function about the senseless persecution of Falun Gong in China, reminded them of the heavenly laws of karmic retribution, and urged them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations and to make the choice to be righteous.
According to one practitioner, many Chinese people gave friendly smiles as they accepted the pamphlets and silently indicated their support for Falun Gong. She said, "Some people directly voiced their support and understanding of Falun Gong. Others, although they didn't say much, silently accepted the material with a smile. I am very glad that more and more Chinese people now understand the facts."
During the past 58 years, since the beginning of the CCP's rule over China, more than 80 million Chinese people have been killed through various means by the regime. Thus, since 2005, the Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP had set October 1st as "China's National Day of Mourning" and "The Day of Usurping Power" to mourn for the countless innocent people abused under the oppressive regime. It is also a call for those people who are still being deceived to become clearheaded about the evil nature of the CCP and to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations for their own safety.
