(Clearwisdom.net) On September 19, 2007, three senior ladies, Ms. Wen Zhen, Ms. Shu Mei and Ms. Cui Xiaoxian from Nanguan, Li County, Hebei Province went to the Huagang Area to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. They were arrested by a group of policemen led by Wang Junchang from Li County National Security Team. That same afternoon, Wang Junchang led a group of policemen and ransacked their homes.
The purpose of ransacking the homes was merely to steal money and personal belongings. They took whatever money they found or things they considered useful to them. When they ransacked the home of Shu Mei, nobody was home. They just jumped over the wall into the yard, broke the lock and stole a 25-inch color TV, a DVD player, a tricycle, Falun Gong books, Falun Gong audio cassettes and video CD's, a satellite TV antenna, a walkman and an audio tape recorder. They ransacked all 5 rooms plus the basement and broke all locked drawers and cabinets. They took away all belongings of any value, leaving behind only a broken refrigerator. They tried to drive away a motorized tricycle but could not get it to start. They went through all the clothes, and left a mess behind. Ms. Shu Mei's grand daughter broke into tears when she returned home and saw the mess. She was too scared to sleep in the home that night.
The policemen arrested, beat and robbed these three ladies, kindhearted women in their 70s who practice Falun Gong. Ms. Wen Zhen and Ms. Shu Mei's families are poor; however, they were robbed of all their savings and belongings. While the policemen ransacked their homes, they did not show any search warrant or ID, nor did they provide a log of the confiscated items or have any consent from witnesses or the victims' family members.
