(Clearwisdom.net) One day a friend of my son invited me for lunch. Shortly after lunch was served, a man at our table said, "You were invited for lunch because the police want to "transform" you. They want you to renounce Falun Gong. If they cannot "transform" you, they will take you to a detention center." Soon after, officials from the local Public Security Bureau (PSB) showed up. They showed documents ordering them to persecute Falun Gong, as well as fliers that are of part of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) hate propaganda against Falun Gong. The officials said, "You should agree to be "transformed" just for the sake of your son's career." I told them, "As long as I am allowed to talk and reason with you, it might be you guys that will be "transformed" into supporting Falun Gong."
I knew exactly what to say to them because I practice Falun Gong. I told them how Falun Gong has saved me from death's door, cured my illnesses, given me a new lease on life and saved my marriage. I told them about the many wonderful contributions Master Li Hongzhi has made to mankind, and about the proclamations, awards and other forms of recognition that the Chinese government had once given Master Li. An investigation team formed by a top-level CCP official, Qiao Shi, investigated Falun Gong for six months and came to a positive conclusion concerning Falun Gong. Even Zhu Rongji, the Chinese premier at the time, issued an order supporting Falun Gong. However, Jiang Zemin, driven by deep-seated jealousy because of Master Li's wide popularity, overrode Zhu's order and made false accusations against Master Li and Falun Gong. To this day the cruel persecution of Falun Gong continues. I told the police that the flier they presented contained nothing but lies and empty accusations. For example, look at the so-called "Self-Immolation at Tiananmen Square." Even a child can see flaws in the staged self-immolation. Like the pack of lies the CCP has told about the June 4 Student Massacre at Tiananmen Square in 1989, the "Self-Immolation" at Tiananmen Square was a set-up. I urged them not to believe those lies or to assist the CCP in its crimes against Falun Gong. I told them to treat Falun Gong practitioners with kindness for the sake of their own future.
After lunch, an official of the Public Security Bureau asked me to stay and chat with him. This was an opportunity to clarify the truth to him in depth. I felt as though my wisdom had been expanded because I was able to give him detailed and satisfactory explanations to each and every question he raised. We chatted for two hours. Before the official said good-bye, he asked, "Will you be home tonight?" "Yes," I replied. At around 8:00 p.m. that night, an acquaintance knocked on my door and handed me a package. I opened it and saw a collectors' edition of Zhuan Falun inside. Tears came down my face as I truly felt Teacher's boundless grace.
At the time, Teacher had just published "Turning the Wheel Towards the Human World." After I read Teacher's new article, the first man I thought of was this official. I immediately called him and tried to persuade him to withdraw from the CCP. He agreed to withdraw from the CCP and its Youth League and Young Pioneer League without a second thought. He even asked me to do the same for his wife and daughter. (However, I didn't do it for his wife or daughter because they have to make the decision on their own.)
Shortly afterwards, our city government organized a tour. I ran into a friend of my son, who asked me to join the tour. I thought, "This must be an opportunity arranged by Teacher to save sentient beings." I agreed immediately. During the trip I kept Teacher's words in mind and thought only about saving sentient beings. I worked up my courage to chat with a high-level local government official, who was the Secretary of our city's Political and Legal Committee and Deputy Chairman of our city's People's Congress. Eventually, I found a talking point. I asked him, "You are one of the leaders of the People's Congress. What level of authority do you have in terms of voting for the representatives of the People's Congress?" He replied, "I have no power at all. I am told to vote for whoever my boss asks me to vote for, otherwise I will lose my job." I said, "Not long ago the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published on the Internet. It is said that a person will be protected from harm if he withdraws from the CCP and/or its two affiliated organizations. If you are truly a good friend of my son, you must heed my advice --- withdraw from the CCP and its two affiliated organizations and truly do it from the bottom of your heart. It does not require any special procedure. All it takes is a nickname or pseudonym you choose at will to make an announcement to withdraw. Will you do it?" He agreed right away.
Thus I clarified the truth about Falun Gong and the CCP with different approaches to different people on the tour. I kept righteous thoughts throughout the process. With Teacher's help, 17 local government officials agreed to withdraw from the CCP and its two affiliated organizations.
It is my understanding that we will be invincible as long as we have steadfast faith in Teacher, study the Fa well and prioritize doing the three things in our daily lives.
