(Clearwisdom.net) Since March 2007, officials at the Taihe District Police Department in Jingzhou have repeatedly instructed police at the Xiaolingzi and Nuerhe Police Stations to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. They arrested Mr. Liu Litao, Mr. Wang Xiaomin, Mr. Sheng Fuji, Ms. Jing Cuizhen, senior citizen Ms. You, Ms. Qiao Zhongxia, Liang, Mr. Guo Liguang, and Mr. Li Zhongshan and searched their houses. The police attempted to arrest practitioners Mr. Chang You, Ms. Zhang Jing, and Ms. Jin Menglan, but failed.
Agents from Taihe District Police Department and from the Xiaolingzi Police Station Persecuted Liu Litao and Threatened His Wife
Officers from the Xiaolingzi Police Station illegally arrested practitioner Liu Litao from Songjiagou Village, Xinmin Village, when he was on duty on March 12, 2007. They searched his house, confiscated his personal belongings (including a PC) and arrested his wife. A fat and short policeman from the Taihe Police Department threatened Liu Litao's wife, "This is not a police station. I can send you over there too, we have all kinds of torture instruments. I can stand on you and pee on you." The wife was scared and began to shiver.
Several months later, Songjiagou Village citizens signed a petition pleading with the officials to release Liu Litao. However, Xiaolingzi police took this as an incentive to detain Liu Litao's wife for one night. The officials from the Taihe District Court, in disregard of the law, sentenced Liu Litao under instructions from the Jingzhou City Political and Judiciary Committee, from the Taihe District Political Judiciary Committee, and from people at the Taihe Police Department and Xiaolingzi Police Station.
People from Taihe Police Department, Xiaolingzi Police Station Persecute Wang Xiaomin and Beat His Mother
Xiaolingzi Police Station agents illegally searched practitioner Wang Xiaomin's house on March 20, 2007. Wang Xiaoming decided to go into exile to avoid arrest. At midnight on August 20, police officers climbed over the wall and jumped into Wang Xiaomin's yard. They tore the window screen, climbed into the home and intended to arrest Wang Xiaomin. After a six-hour deadlock of being staked out at the door, the police said, "We can't retreat unless we receive instructions from superiors."
Policemen also beat Wang Xiaoming's mother, a woman in her 60s. Her face was swollen from the beating |

The next morning at about 6:00 a.m., more than 30 police officers from the Jingzhou City and the Taihe Police Departments arrived in five police vehicles and arrested Wang Xiaomin. Wang Xiaomin's mother confronted them and the police beat her in retaliation. When the beating was reported, those in charge at the Jingzhou City Police Department, at the Appeals Office, at the Jingzhou City People's Conference and at the Taihe Police Department all acted badly and said they didn't care.
Policemen claimed the need to "verify information" to arrest Wang Xiaoming. They promised to "release him soon after verification" and had no documented authorization for the arrest. Because Wang Xiaoming's family thoroughly questioned the policemen, wanting to know where they would take him, Police Station political head Liu Xu had to give them a detention paper a few days later, but there was no signature or date. The family asked him to complete the missing signature, but Liu Xu refused.
Policemen from the Nuerhe Police Station Arrest Sheng Fuji and Jing Cuizhen
When Falun Gong practitioner Jing Cuizhen (in her 60s, from Yaotang Village of Nuerhe Township) was clarifying the facts to Ms. You (in her 70s) at 10:00 p.m. on August 25, 2007, officers from the Nuerhe Police Station and security guards arrested her and took her to the police station. Policemen illegally searched Jing Cuizhen's house three times between 11:50 p.m. and 3:30 a.m. They confiscated computers, printers and many other belongings that filled three cars. They also arrested Jing's husband Sheng Fuji.

Sheng Fuji and Jing Cuizhen were tortured by police from Jingzhou City Police Department, from the Taihe District Police Department and from the Nuerhe Police Station. The brutal beating Jing Cuizhen had to endure made her eyes turn black and blue and her lips bleed; her clothing was stained with blood. Because she was handcuffed behind her back for a long time, the handcuffs cut into her flesh, and her hands were so swollen that she couldn't make a fist. Her kneecaps were black and blue. Policemen forbade Jing to go to the toilet, so she had to relieve herself in her pants. Policeman Wang Dingke said, "She hurt herself; no one beat her!" Policeman Cai from the Criminal Team said, "You can appeal anywhere you want." The head of the Taihe District government also boasted, "Torture her to death!"
Sheng Fuji and Jing Cuizhen are presently held at the Jingzhou City No.1 Detention Center.
Nuerhe Police Station Agents Harassed and Arrested Many Practitioners
After the couple was arrested and taken to the Nuerhe Police Station, Guo Liguang and two other practitioners asked how Jing Cuizhen was doing after the beating. Police illegally held them for nine hours. Presently, plainclothes officers are monitoring Guo Liguang's home.
On August 27, 2007, Nuerhe Police Station officers searched the homes of the following practitioners: Chang You, Li Zhongshan and Zhang Jing in Cuijiling, Huashan Village, Nuerhe Township. They also arrested Li Zhongshan. Chang You escaped. Zhang Jing was not at home. Nuerhe Police Station officers broke into practitioner Jin Menglan's house in Beitang Village, Nuerhe Township, which caused Jin Menglan to lose consciousness from fright, so they failed to arrest her.
