1. [Beijing] Falun Gong Practitioner Yang Jinlan Arrested

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yang Jinlan, in her 60s, lives in the No. 3-301 Room, No. 32 Building in the Jianxinnan Residential Community of the Shunyi District in Beijing. Someone reported her to the police on September 11, 2007. Personnel from the Renhe Police Station and from the National Security Division arrested her and ransacked her home.

2. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Liu Xiuhua Arrested

More than ten policemen from the Tumen City 610 Office and the National Security Division followed local policeman Li Jinyou to 40-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Xiuhua's home in Qushui Village, Yueqing Town on the night of September 29, 2007. They confiscated one of Master's pictures, a Falun Gong book and materials exposing the persecution. They also photographed everything in Ms. Liu's home. When they arrested Ms. Liu, her non-practitioner relative asked the policemen not to commit a crime by making the illegal arrest. However, they went to ransack the relative's home and confiscated his computer and some CDs. Later on, they ransacked another practitioner's home.

3. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Mr. Jiang Lide Arrested on September 20, 2007; His Family Pursued for His Release

4. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Liu Zhiyun is Still in Detention

Policeman Wang Runlong from the Donggang City National Security Division arrested practitioner Mr. Liu Zhiyun again on May 23, 2006. Mr. Liu is still being held at the city's detention center.

Six other practitioners who are being held at the city detention center: Mr. Pan Changxin, Ms. Sun Shuying, Mr. Song Jiwei, Ms. Sun Shumei, Mr. Liu Xingdi and Mr. Bao Yonghua.

5. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Guo Changyu Arrested

Police in Liuhe County, Tonghua City harassed several practitioners at their homes in the name of checking household registration and measuring the house size in the morning of July 27, 2007. Four officers including Gao Deyu from the county's police department climbed over practitioner Ms. Gao Changyu's yard wall and ransacked her home. Ms. Guo defied them, but eventually, with two additional policemen's help, they handcuffed Ms. Guo and arrested her.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Persecution of Practitioners Li Yueying, Feng Liping and Others

Practitioner Ms. Li Yueying from Changchun City is presently being held at the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp. Her husband Mr. Dong Ming and practitioners Mr. Wang Jun and Mr. An Liguo are being held at the Fenjin Forced Labor Camp.

Practitioner Mr. Feng Liping from Changchun City was put into a secret base for brutal torture. One of his arms was disabled due to abuse. Mr. Feng is presently being held at the Police Hospital. His mother is forced to pay 300 yuan every month for medical treatment.

Practitioner Mr. Si Bowen is on a hunger strike to protest the illegal arrest. His family was forced to pay 15,000 yuan, but Mr. Si is still being held at the Police Hospital.

8. [Jixian County, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Are Being Held in Shuangyashan City

Officials from Shuangyashan City colluded with personnel from the Jixian County Police Department. They arrested practitioners Ms. Qi Guoying, Ms. Zhang Chunyan and Mr. Du Baiyang from Jixian County, Heilongjiang Province on September 28, 2007. The three practitioners are being held in Shuangyashan City.

9. [Jilin Province] Practitioner Wang Xingxiang Persecuted in the Heizuizi Prison

Jilin Province Women's Prison's Education Division is a center for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Fifty-five-year-old practitioner Ms. Wang Xingxiang from Dehui City has been brutally tortured several times for refusing to give up Falun Gong since she was put into the prison. She was given secret "personal education," which was a euphemism for terrible physical abuse under the persecution indeed.

10. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Officer Meng Qingping from the Xiliu Police Station Harasses Practitioners in Their Homes

11. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Jin Dezhu Arrested

Two plainclothes policemen arrested practitioner Mr. Ji Dezhu from Yanji City from his workplace at 11:00 a.m. on September 29, 2007. According to plainclothes policemen, Mr. Ji explained the facts about Falun Gong on a bus and someone reported him.

12. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Liu Chunlan's Home Ransacked

Police went to practitioner Ms. Liu Chunlan's home in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province on September 26, 2007. Even though Ms. Liu's family members were not there, the police officers turned the home upside down and confiscated her child's computer and some other items. Police also stayed around Ms. Liu's home to monitor the family. Ms. Liu's whereabouts are unknown.

13. [Liaoning Province] Information About Practitioners Arrested by the Zhongshan Police Department in Dalian City

Personnel from the Zhongshan Police Department in Dalian City, Liaoning Province arrested more than 30 practitioners on August 14, 2007. They have issued arrest certificates for practitioners Ms. Wang Chunyan and Mr. Yin Libin. Eleven other practitioners are presently being held at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Police have attempted to forcibly reform them.

14. [Shanghai] Practitioner Ying Zhiming and His Son Ying Yeqi Arrested

Personnel from the Baoshan District in Shanghai arrested practitioner Mr. Ying Zhiming, who lives on Meipu Street of the Baoshan District on September 27, 2007. Police also arrested Mr. Ying's son Mr. Ying Yeqi that night.

15. [Beijing] Practitioner Rui Shufang Arrested

Personnel from the residential committee discovered practitioner Ms. Rui Shufang posting materials exposing the persecution at a bus station. More than 10 officers from the Chaoyang District Police Department arrested her from her home and put her into the district's detention center. A month later, they sentenced her to two years of forced labor without abiding by any legal procedures. Ms. Rui is presently being held at the Beijing Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp.

16. [Beijing] Information about Practitioner Wang Hongwei from the Tongzhou District

Practitioner Mr. Wang Hongwei's mother went to visit her son in the Chaoyang District Detention Center on September 23, 2007, but was turned away. She was informed that Mr. Wang had already been transferred to another detention center in Beijing.

17. [Shanghai] Additional Information Regarding the Arrest of Practitioners Lu Jinquan and Geng Jianhua

Practitioner Ms. Geng Jianhua lives in Room No.602, Building No. 65, No. 370 Lane, Zhangyang Street in the Pudong District. She returned to her hometown to visit her 80-year-old mother in Shandong Province on September 26, 2007 and was arrested on her way to the railway station. Police ransacked her home and confiscated a computer and a printer. Ms. Geng is presently being held at the Qingdong Brainwashing Center.

Practitioner Mr. Lu Jinquan is presently being held at the Pudong District Zhangjiang Detention Center under a criminal charge.

18. [Beijing] Practitioners Yan Xuemei and Li Yu Sentenced to Two Years in Prison

Police arrested 38-year-old practitioner Ms. Yan Xuemei from the Chongwen District and 43-year-old practitioner Mr. Li Yu from Daxing County's Huang Village one day in June 2007. Both practitioners were sentenced to two years in prison. Ms. Yan is being held at the Daxing County Women's Forced Labor Camp and Mr. Li is at the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp. Police beat them every day.

19. [Kangbao County, Hebei Province] Police Arrest Practitioner Zheng Xiuqing

Personnel from the Chengguan Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Zheng Xiuqing from Kangbao County, Hebei Province from her workplace at 8:00 p.m. on September 29, 2007.

20. [Zhuolu County, Hebei Province] Police Arrest Practitioners Chen Youzhong and Tian

Personnel from the Zhuolu County Police Department arrest practitioner Mr. Chen Youzhong from Jiubao Village, Wubao Town, Zhuolu County on September 29, 2007. The arrest happened when Mr. Chen adjusted a satellite receiver for a villager in Gaobao Village. Police also arrested practitioner Tian from Gaobao Village, Zhuolu County on September 30, 2007, but Tian was released that day.

21. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Cui Lixin Arrested Again

Personnel from the Yucai Street Police Station in Shijiazhuang City arrested practitioner Ms. Cui Lixin again from her home at 9:00 a.m. on September 28, 2007. Ms. Cui's husband is taking classes in Shanghai. Ms. Cui's 9-year-old son and 70-year-old mother-in-law were left at home without care. As Ms. Cui had been arrested many times, her mother-in-law was traumatized and consequently suffered from dementia. Ms. Cui's 80-year-old father also needs her care.

Personnel from the Yucai Street Police Station arrested her and sent her into the Zanhuang Detention Center on June 20, 2007. Police attempted to sentence her to one year of forced labor, but Ms. Cui staged a hunger strike and the forced labor camp authorities refused to accept her. She was thus released after a 15-day detention.

22. [Laiyuan County, Hebei Province] Practitioner Li Zhanzhong Arrested

Personnel from the Laiyuan County National Security Division and from the Baoding City National Security Division arrested practitioner Mr. Li Zhanzhong at 10:00 a.m. on September 28, 2007. Mr. Li was put into the Baoding City National Security Division Brainwashing Center.

Mr. Li used to be a teacher in the county's education committee. He was fired and sentenced to two years of forced labor for practicing Falun Gong.

Practitioner Mr. Li Xinping from Beihan Village, Laiyuan County and practitioner Mr. Yue Quanhai from Beishangtun Village were put into the Baoding City Forced Labor Camp, but the camp authorities refused their admission. Personnel from the county's National Security Division extorted 2,000 yuan and 4,000 yuan from them respectively and then released them. Practitioners Ms. Hou Manyun and Ms. Li Yanping are still being held at the county's detention center.

23. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Practitioners Tao Zhijun and Yan Binyan Arrested

Practitioner Ms. Yuan Binyan from Xuanhua County, Zhangjiakou City was arrested on September 24, 2007 when explaining the facts about Falun Gong. Police also arrested practitioner Mr. Tao Zhijun from Xiawan Village, Jiangjiatun Township, Xuanhua County at 4:00 p.m. on September 29, 2007.

24. [Tanghai County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Someone reported three practitioners, employees from the Tanghai County's No.5 Farm, when they distributed Falun Gong materials. Police arrested them and put them into the Tangshan City Detention Center.

25. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Wang Xuezhi Held at a Brainwashing Center

Personnel from the Xinzhuang Town "610 Office" arrested 72-year-old practitioner Mr. Wang Xuezhi from Xiliang Village, Xinzhuang Town, Zhaoyuan City the morning of September 28, 2007. They then ransacked Mr. Wang's home and confiscated some of Master's writings and one of Master's pictures.

26. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Recent Information about Practitioner Zhang Baoyun

Practitioner Ms. Zhang Baoyun is presently being held at the Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City. All family visits were forbidden. Personnel from the Huangdao Hainan Street Police Station arrested her in the morning of September 22, 2007.

28. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Wang Junying Arrested More Than Ten Days Ago

Practitioner Ms. Wang Junying, 47 years old, is from Daguanzhuang Village, Langfang City, Hebei Province. She was arrested in August 2007 when she distributed truth-clarifying materials in the Xixiao Community. She has been held at the city's detention center for more than ten days.

30. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Autonomous Region] Supplemental Information Regarding the Arrest of Practitioner Gu Jingjie

Practitioner Gu Jingjie, in her 50s, is a retired teacher from the Yinchuan City No.6 Middle School in the Jinfeng District, Yinchuan City, Ningxia Autonomous Region. Ms. Gu explained the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong to her colleagues at a party for the Teacher's Holiday on September 10, 2007. Six of them wanted to read Zhuan Falun. Ms. Gu sent Zhuan Falun to a colleague on September 25, 2007, but was reported. Personnel from the Xingqing District Police Department ransacked her home and put her into the Yinchuan City Detention Center.

31. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Suizhong County Police Confiscate Practitioner's Personal Belongings and Do not Return Them

Twenty officers headed by Suizhong County National Security Division chief Li Changhua in Huludao City ransacked practitioner Ms. Zhang Fengxian's home the morning of September 18, 2007. They confiscated some Dafa books, a printer, a computer, two cases of cigarettes, three flashlights and 20 yuan. Ms. Zhang's husband requested the return of all these items, but policeman Li Changhua refused.

32. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Persecution of Local Practitioners

Personnel from the Macheng City Police Department and the National Security Division broke into practitioners' homes on June 22, 2007. They arrested more than 20 practitioners and confiscated their motorcycles and bank deposit certificates. They beat practitioner Zhang until he/she lost consciousness. They sent practitioners into the Wuhan City Brainwashing Center. They extorted 4,000 to 5,000 yuan from those practitioners, who have since been released.

33. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Li Jianying Released

Practitioner Mr. Li Jianying from Zengcheng Xintang Town in Guangzhou City was put into the city's Chatou Brainwashing Center the afternoon of September 23, 2007. Later on, Mr. Li manifested illness symptoms and was released on September 27, 2007.

34. [Chongqing] Practitioner Xia Jiazuo Arrested

Police used a master key and broke into practitioner Mr. Xia Jiazuo's home in the Kershi Tianchen Huafu Community in the Dadukou District, Chongqing City the afternoon of September 28, 2007. Mr. Xia and his non-practitioner daughter's whereabouts are currently unknown.

35. [Chongqing] Police Arrest a Practitioner and Ransack Her Home

Police went to practitioner Ms. Zhong's son's workplace at the Qianjin Railway Station Bureau in the Yangjiaping Area of Chongqing in the morning of September 28, 2007. They ordered Ms. Zhong's son to lead them to Ms. Zhong's home. They then arrested Ms. Zhong and confiscated a computer and a printer. Ms. Zhong is presently being held at the Yangjiaping Police Station.

36. [Huolinguole City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Practitioners Zhou Liying and Wang Jianzhong Arrested

National Security Division chief Li Buhe and other policemen arrested 45-year-old practitioner Ms. Zhou Liying from her home at 5:00 p.m. on September 2, 2007. They put her into a detention center. Ms. Zhou went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal arrest, but the police beat her. When Ms. Zhou's husband requested her release, the police told him that they would release Ms. Zhou in two weeks. However, they sent Ms. Zhou to the Huhehaote City Detention Center and sentenced her to two years of forced labor.

Policeman Li Buhe arrested practitioner Mr. Wang Jianzhong when he explained the facts about Falun Gong in the police department. Mr. Wang is presently being held at a detention center.

37. [Miyi County, Sichuan Province] Practitioners Zhang Hongying, Zhang Jiashuang and Lu Tao Arrested

Practitioner Ms. Zhang Hongying was sentenced to four years and eight months in prison at the Miyi County Court, Ms. Zhang Jiashuang to three and a half years, and Ms. Lu Tao to five years. Police put the three practitioners into the Chengdu City Women's Prison in early September 2007. Practitioner Ms. Lu is presently being held at the prison's No.6 Ward's No.2 Group.

38. [Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province] Police Arrest Practitioner Wang Shouming

Personnel from the National Security Division arrested several practitioners on the night of September 28, 2007. They are Mr. Wang Shouming, Mr. Wang's nephew, Mr. Wang Shougui, Mr. Qian (in his 70s), and Ms. Zhao (in her 70s). Practitioners Mr. Li Yong and Xu were missing in Liupanshui City the afternoon of September 21, 2007. Their whereabouts are unknown.

Personnel from the Hepu County Police Department arrested the practitioner couple Ms. Chen Youjuan on June 19, 2007. The couple's whereabouts are unknown.

40. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Lu Wanqin Arrested from Her Home

About a dozen people arrested practitioner Ms. Lu Wanqin from her home in Zhuhai City at noon on September 26, 2007. They also confiscated three boxes of materials exposing the persecution.

41. [Suizhou City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Wei Kexiu Arrested

Suizhou City "610 Office" head Li Jinbo and other policemen arrested practitioner Ms. Wei Kexiu from Suizhou City, Hubei Province on September 24, 2007. They put her into the Wuhai City Brainwashing Center.

42. [Hubei Province] Practitioner Fang Yuanbao Arrested

Personnel from the Hubei Province 610 Office arrested practitioner Mr. Fang Yuanbao, an employee from the Hubei Province Financial College, at 10:00 a.m. on September 27, 2007. Mr. Fang's whereabouts are unknown.

44. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Personnel from the Chalukou Town Police Department Persecute Practitioners

Personnel from the Chalukou Town Police Department in Dehui City went to a practitioner's home and confiscated the MP3 player the practitioner was listening to on September 28, 2007. They attempted to force him to be fingerprinted and to write a statement giving up Falun Gong. The practitioner was fined 1,000 yuan and released.

45. [Qian'an City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Wen Qingfang Arrested

Practitioner Ms. Wen Qingfang was arrested again the night of September 28, 2007. She was put into the Qian'an City Seed Company's Brainwashing Center at 10:00 p.m. that night.

46. [Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Shanhaiguan City police have arrested several practitioners. These practitioners are Ms. Zhao Chunming (Mr. Zheng Zhicheng's mother), Ms. He Xiujie, Ms. Deng Guiyun, Ms. Dong Yuxian, Ms. Wang Guiqin, Ms. Zhao Huanzhen and Mr. Deng Wenyang. When the first five practitioners were sentenced to forced labor, the camp refused their admissions because of their failed health check-ups, but they were then put into the Tangshan City Kaiping Forced Labor Camp without any procedures. Mr. Deng did not recover and was carried into a police vehicle. Mr. Deng and Ms. Zhao Huanzhen were sent to Baoding City.

49. [Xining City, Qinghai Province] Persecution of Practitioner Zhang Shuqin

Personnel from the Qilian Street Police Station in the Chengbei District, Xining City arrested practitioner Ms. Zhang Shuqin, an employee from the Qinghai Province Pharmacy Company, and held her for a day on July 3, 2007. Ms. Zhang was arrested again from her workplace on August 6, 2007 and was later sentenced to one year of forced labor. Ms. Zhang is presently being held at the province's women's forced labor camp.

50. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Long Guande and His Wife Zhan Xuemei Arrested

Practitioner Mr. Long Guande and his wife Ms. Zhan Xuemei were arrested from their home at 8:00 a.m. on September 23, 2007. They are presently being held at the Baiyun District No.2 Detention Center in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province.

51. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mo Shaohui and Several Others Arrested

Practitioner Mr. Mo Shaohui and his wife Mo Shaoying were arrested on September 23, 2007. About ten practitioners were arrested around the same time.

52. [Yunnan Province] Persecution of Tong Xingzhen and Others

National security agents broke into the homes of Ms. Tong Xingzhen, in her 60s, and Ms. Wu Huiying, 56, the morning of September 21, 2007 and arrested them. They took both practitioners to the Wuhua Detention Center in Kunming City.

Practitioner Ms. Ni Meizhen, 67, was arrested at 2:00 a.m. on April 9, 2005.

53. [Hubei Province] More Information on the Disappearance of Ms. Zheng Xinlian

Ms. Zheng Xinlian received a phone call from her workplace in the evening of September 25, 2007 [Mid-Autumn Day] and was told to report to work the following morning to fill out paperwork for retirement. She went the next day and has not returned since. In the afternoon, police officer Xu Guoqing went to Zheng Xinlian's home and told her family to pack some clothes so he could take them to Zheng Xinlian. He refused to reveal the location where Zheng Xinlian was being held.

54. [Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhuo Jiangshan, around 40 years old, came from Zhanjiang City. Mr. Zhou Zi is around 30 and came from Wuchuan City. Ms. Zhang Min is about 45. She taught at a university in Guangzhou City and came from Hubei Province. All three practitioners were arrested the afternoon of September 23, 2007 at a Falun Gong materials production site in Wuchuan City, Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province. The site was destroyed. The police took six satellite receptors, two paper cutters, two printing machines, two printers, one laptop, one laminating machine, more than 5,000 unfinished copies of the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party," and printing paper. The total loss is estimated at 100,000 yuan.

55. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Persecution of Ding Yuming

Mr. Ding Yuming from Beixinbao Township, Huailai County, Zhangjiakou City posted informational flyers on his home gate to explain the facts about Falun Gong. Subsequently, Beixinbao Township Police Station officer Yang Jianguo and some other officers arrested him on April 17, 2002. They held him at the Ertaizi Detention Center in Huailai County for two years and later sentenced him to seven years in prison. He is now held at the Jidong Prison in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. Mr. Ding had recently developed Stage II hypertension [blood pressure >160/100 mmHg], heart disease and an atrial septal defect.

59. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Jing Disappeared Around September 24, 2007 and Has not Been Found Yet

60. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Wang Hongye and His Family Persecuted for Their Belief in Truthfulness -Compassion-Tolerance

Practitioners Mr. Wang Hongye and his wife Gong Airong lived in Huangjiazhuang Village, Tanbu Town, Mengyin County, Shandong Province. The couple and their daughter went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. Tanbu Town police officials arrested and held them for more than three months. They were extorted out of more than 30,000 yuan, and their home was ransacked many times. The police also took their stored crops and furniture. The police even ordered Wang Hongye to pay for their bus tickets. Because Wang Hongye didn't have any money left, they sold his 50 rabbits for 300 yuan and pocketed the difference.

The police chief called Wang Hongye into a room one evening in January 2000, where several drunken men punched and kicked him. Wang Hongye could not work for several months afterwards.

Wang Hongye's daughter Wang Duanying went to Beijing to appeal. She was arrested and held at a detention center. Officials from Tanbu Town arrested her after ten days, and they beat her in the car. After they arrived at the Tanbu Town government compound, five men stood around Wang Duanying and violently attacked her. They banged her head against the wall, and forced her to half-squat and sit on the floor while they bent her toes backwards.
