(Clearwisdom.net) While I was reading, I came across where Teacher stated in Zhuan Falun that,
"Accordingly, in your future cultivation practice you will run into all kinds of tribulations. How can you practice cultivation without these hardships?"
I discovered something. Teacher said "tribulations" and not "evil interference." In the past I've not seen the difference between these two phrases, though now as I read it, I found that there is a great difference between them!
Evil interference is, just as it sounds, caused by the evil. When humans want to cultivate, the evil starts to interfere, finding loopholes in the attachments of practitioners, so that they cannot succeed. An ordinary person will believe that many of the disasters are caused by the negative factors, something that cannot be changed by human power, and so it is called "evil interference."
So then, how should we look at these tribulations in cultivation with the eyes of a practitioner in Fa rectification? My own understanding of tribulations is that we need them to eliminate our attachments while in conflict with each other in order to transform karma into virtue.
On the most basic level, Dafa practitioners should deny any influence of the old forces; Teacher does not permit their evil interference. These arrangements will only achieve their selfish goals and nothing else. Dafa practitioners should be able to differentiate between what Teacher has arranged for us, and what the old forces add to make extra hardships for us. If we cannot successfully pass through tests made by conflicts between practitioners and the dilemmas of our ordinary lives, then the tribulation will become bigger and bigger. The evil will then begin to find loopholes, which leads to interference. This interference will either destroy you or be used in the cruelest way to force you to give up your attachments. This will cause the whole body of Dafa to suffer. If we do not look at tribulations seriously, we are not being responsible to our cultivation, which can result in being arrested to suffer "evil interference." Haven't there been many situations like this?
We mush deny the arrangements of the old forces fundamentally, and follow the path given by Teacher. We cannot say that whenever dilemmas appear that it is evil interference, because in cultivation, everyone has attachments. During conflicts our loopholes begin to reveal themselves, so we must immediately correct ourselves. Once we pass through the tribulations it will all become virtue. Those who are unable to follow Teacher's direction and standards, allowing their attachments to control themselves until they are no longer themselves, they should hurry and come out of those arrangements of the old forces and cultivate with dignity. After you are able to give up attachments and follow Teacher's standards, all the evil interference will disappear, because the old forces are also under the power of Teacher. If you believe in Teacher and Dafa and cultivate diligently, then no one can manipulate you. This is only my personal understanding. If there is anything inappropriate, please kindly point it out.
