For the last four years, misled by a stream of fabricated lies discrediting Dafa broadcast on the China Central Television, people from my home village had become very antagonistic towards Dafa. I was the only Dafa practitioner in the village. Because of my belief in Dafa, I was arrested many times. In order to avoid further persecution, I had to leave home and roam around like a fugitive. The persecution I suffered made my fellow villagers even more hostile towards Dafa. All this time, I had wanted to write them a letter to explain the whole situation, but the matter was not picking up momentum.

During the Spring Festival this year, I finally put down on paper a lengthy personal experience, from how I benefited from practicing Falun Gong to my own persecution. I made a few hundred copies if it, and sent them out to all the families I know back in our village. (Included in my letter was an analysis of the staged Tiananmen self-immolation incident in Beijing.) After I finished, I felt much relief.

Not long after that, news came back to me saying that those letters had caused quite a stir among the few thousand resident villagers. After receiving my letter that morning, a village elder was so excited that he went out on the street nobly and read the letter to a bunch of villagers who could not read. A neighbor of mine passed on my letter to some visiting relatives, telling them to treasure and pass it on. Then, another villager took a bus and went downtown to pass on the message to his relatives as well. I don't know how many people were traveling around, passing the news to one another, but this was the greatest news among them this Spring Festival.

One villager said, "We did not know the truth previously, and have misunderstood Falun Gong." Another said, "We did not bother reading the flyers before. Now, after reading through the materials in more detail, I've noticed that the articles were written by some well educated people, and their analyses are logical."

Enclosed in every letter that I sent out was also a VCD recorded with truth-clarifying materials. As soon as they picked up the VCD, children and adults alike, they were keen to watch what was on it. Many of them did not have a VCD player, so they gathered in the houses of those who had a player. In one incident, a woman, who uttered something like she did not want to watch, was immediately told by the other members to keep quiet. I was deeply moved by all the positive feedback.

In an environment where people are opened to Fa rectification, the above response is not unusual. Do you have an idea of the type of attitude the villagers had previously? Whenever the word Dafa was mentioned, everyone was scared to death. No one wanted to have anything to do with Falun Gong. A few people who had received the material would not bother reading it, not to mention bring it out to the public. The extreme ones quickly destroyed the materials or condemned them. Hence the whole village was blocked from the truth, creating a very stifling atmosphere. I had mentioned to a fellow practitioner my disappointment, "People in my village are completely lost." But now, what a difference! Everyone is crying out to know the truth.

I would like to ask all our fellow practitioners: Let's pick up our pens and expose the evil together. There is very limited time left!
