(Clearwisdom.net) A Doctor of Chenxi County People's Hospital, Mr. Liu Shenghua, was tortured at a forced labor camp over the course of one year for practicing Falun Dafa. In July 2002, when he held study groups to study the teachings of Falun Dafa with other fellow practitioners he was reported, and the head of the "610 Office*", Yang Wenjun, planned to illegally sentence him. Now Dr. Liu is held at the Jinshi Prison in Changde City, Hunan Province. Besides being forced to do slave labor on a farm, Dr. Liu is locked up in a dark room and the forced labor camp has sent three inmates to keep surveillance and torture him. Dr. Liu has become emaciated, has no strength to stand up and also has difficulty speaking. His life is in serious danger.
Thirty-year old Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Liumei has suffered a mental collapse because of the torture she received. Forty-year old Ms. Tang Yuqing was beaten and handcuffed and hung up. As a result, her hand was broken. The former head of the public security bureau and now, a researcher at the county Party committee Zhu Shunan, thug Liu Yong, leader of the National Security Division Yu Qingchang and Xie Kaiji have tortured many Falun Dafa practitioners. They grabbed Liu Liumei's hair and rammed her head against a wall. This resulted Ms. Liu receiving an internal head injury and caused her mental collapse. Falun Dafa practitioners who went on hunger strike in protest against the torture included Liu Yuanpo and Teacher Yang Shiqi, sixty-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Ou Jiafa, and many others. Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Yuanpo's teeth came loose as a result of being forced open by the police during force-feedings.
The Deputy Head of the Chenxi County Political and Legal Commission and the head of the "610 Office", Yang Wenjun, has arrested around one hundred Falun Gong practitioners and sent dozens of them, including one of his classmates, high school teacher Yang Shiqi, to forced labor camps.
In Chenxi County, several thousand Dafa practitioners suffered from the persecution to different degrees. Nearly 30 practitioners have been sentenced to forced labor. Female practitioners are sent to Baimalong Forced Labor camp in Zhuzhou City and the male practitioners are sent to Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp in Changsha City or Jinshi Prison in Changde City.
* "610 Office" is a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches.
