1. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ten Falun Dafa Practitioners Have Been
Tortured to Death in Huludao City
(1) Mr. Chen Dewen, from Chencun Village, Gejia Township of Suizhong County, was arrested on October 1, 1999 and detained at the Huludao City Forced Labor Camp. During his detention the police frequently beat him. The police also brutally tortured Mr. Chen for refusing to wear a prison uniform. (Note: Falun Dafa practitioners feel that because they have done nothing wrong and have not broken the law, they are not criminals and should not wear prison uniforms.) Mr. Chen protested against such unlawful treatment by starting a hunger strike. He was force fed highly concentrated salt water. Four Falun Dafa practitioners were force-fed a total of 500 grams of salt. As a result of such force-feeding, Mr. Chen coughed all day, everyday until his death. He died at the age of 57.
(2) Mr. Wu Guoliang, a high school teacher of the Gangtun Township, Lianshan District, was arrested on October 31, 1999 and taken to the Huludao City Forced Labor Camp. He was forced to carry out extra heavy manual labor for eight hours a day, resulting in extreme fatigue. Mr. Wu was also forced to sit in a stationary position on a bench for a prolonged period of time. These various methods of torture made Mr. Wu extremely weak, causing him extreme difficulty walking. In December, when he was on the verge of death, he was finally sent to the hospital. Mr. Wu was diagnosed as having terminal tuberculosis, which was found to be incurable. In order to shirk their responsibility the police released him on bail for medical treatment. Mr. Wu died ten days after he had been taken home.
(3) Mr. Li Jianhua, a staff member of the Xingcheng Physiotherapy Hospital of Jinzhou City, was sentenced to five years imprisonment and is currently detained at the No. 8 prison division of Nanshan Prison, Jinzhou City. His family members were refused the right to visit him.
(4) Mr. Wang Qiang, 27 years old, was a student at the Japanese department of the Dalian Foreign Language Institute. He is from Tufang Village, Qianyang Township of Donggang City, Liaoning Province. Mr. Wang was arrested in 1999 and detained at the Donggang Detention Center and then at the Dandong Forced Labor Camp. He has suffered from an enormous amount of torture and as a result he suffered a mental collapse. He has lost his memory relating to language and can no longer take care of himself in his daily life.
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Persecution Cases of Falun Dafa Practitioners
Mr. Wang Weihua, 24 years old, was sentenced to four years of imprisonment and was transferred to Harbin Prison before the 2002 Chinese New Year. In 2003, Mr. Wang was tortured to death.
Li Huifeng was sentenced to 13 years in jail and was sent to Harbin Prison with Mr. Wang Weihua. The relentless persecution caused Li Huifeng to suffer a mental collapse.
Ms. Wen Jie graduated from Harbin Teachers' Collage and is a teacher of the city's ethnic high school. She was sentenced to nine years of confinement at Harbin Prison.
Zhu Li, a lawyer, was sentenced to 4 years of confinement at Harbin Prison.
An Jingtao was sentenced to 4 years of confinement at Harbin Prison.
Pan Hongdong was sentenced to 10 years of confinement at Tailai Prison.
3. [Jiutai City, Jilin Province] Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp Extends Practitioners' Detention Terms
The majority of Falun Dafa practitioners at the Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp in Jiutai City, Jilin Province have had their terms at the forced labor camps illegally extended. Mr. Jiang Jianfeng's term in the forced labor camp was extended for three months for refusing to renounce his beliefs. Zhou Junzhu had his term extended several times, totaling nine months for persisting in practicing Falun Gong. The police intensified their persecution of Li Xiaodong and Wang Huanli when they were spotted practicing the Falun Gong exercises. During the daytime the two of them were forced to sit on a bare wooden bed with their hands cuffed. At night their hands were cuffed to the bed with their two arms stretched out to both sides. They began to protest against the inhumane torture because they could no longer bear the suffering. Ms Jin Fengxue, due to her impaired hearing, could not hear the prison guards' commands therefore she was severely beaten up. Her face was swollen, her nose was bleeding and she was unable to walk. Jin Fengxue suffered from the cruelest method of forced feeding for protesting against the inhuman torture. Jin Guangxu, a university student, planned on escaping from the forced labor camp. However, the plan failed and his term was extended for a period of six to eight months as a result. Jiang Weiyin had her term extended to an additional detainment of between 6 and 8 months for studying a Falun Gong book. Liu Guangzhi also had his term at the forced labor camp extended for exposing the persecution. Another practitioner, Lian Shenyin, was detained further for tearing down some posters that slandered Falun Dafa. Xu Yangang was confined to solitary compartment and had her term in the forced labor camp extended for protesting against the persecution.
The police at the Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp used more than three electric batons to shock the sensitive parts of those practitioners who persist in their beliefs in Falun Dafa. This caused some to develop blisters in and around their mouths; some practitioner's faces were distorted and still others bore numerous scars.
4. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Police at Huludao Forced Labor Camp Viciously Torture Falun Gong Practitioners
Prison policeman Liu Guohua of the Huludao City Forced Labor Camp, collaborated with ten other policemen including Wang Shengli and Zhang Fusheng to force Zhao Lianxin and other steadfast Dafa practitioners to watch videotapes that slander Falun Dafa. When the practitioners refused the request, one by one the policemen started to viciously persecute them with cruel methods of torture. Mr. Zhao Lianxin was the first one to be dragged out. Four or five policemen stood on top of him so that he couldn't move and then they used their shoes to beat his face. Liu Guohua and some other policemen used electric batons to shock and scrape Mr. Zhao's back until his skin was torn and his shirt was soaked with blood. The evil policemen also pulled down Mr. Zhao's trousers so as to be able to shock his genitals with electric batons and insert the electric baton into his anus. Mr. Zhao Lianxin was tortured to the brink of death. However, these policemen still would not let him go. They poured cold water all over him and shocked him again until Mr. Zhao had turned black and blue and his eyes were too swollen to open. Mr. Zhao was beaten beyond recognition. Six Dafa practitioners were covered with severe cuts and bruises because of the torture. Afterwards, the policemen handcuffed the Dafa practitioners together and they were forced to sleep on the cement floor. On the following day, led by Liu Guohua, the policemen once again kicked and punched these Dafa practitioners one by one. Policemen pulled practitioners' hair and slammed their heads against the wall while shocking them with electric batons. These inhumane tortures lasted for four days.

6. [Shuihua City, Heilongjiang Province] The Record on Shuihua City Policeman Li Jianfei's Torture of Falun Dafa Practitioners
Li Jianfei is now a policeman of the "610 Office" in the Northern Forest Area of Shuihua City, Heilongjiang Province [The "610 Office" is a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches]. Over the last four years, since July 20, 1999, Li Jianfei led other policemen to break into Falun Dafa practitioners' homes on many occasions. They threatened the practitioners by force and illegally searched their homes and confiscated their property. Every single time he searched a Dafa practitioner's home he had no search warrant. When Dafa practitioners asked him to show them a search warrant he said that he was just following orders from above.
Li Jianfei also constantly surveyed Dafa practitioners. Li threatened each practitioner, saying, "Whoever reads Falun Gong books or practices at home will be arrested and sent to forced labor camps." He also raised his voice and cried, "To be frank, I will not allow you to read the books or practice the exercises."
Forty-year-old Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Xuelian was a very healthy person. She began to practice Falun Gong in 1996 and became a steadfast Dafa practitioner. In April 2002, led by Li Jianfei, the police searched Li Xuelian's home and took away her Falun Gong books and materials. Li Jianfei abducted Ms. Li Xuelian to the police station and sentenced her to a forced labor camp shortly after her arrest. She was then sent to the Shuanghe Forced Labor Camp in Qiqihar City. Ms Li Xuelian was tortured to the brink of death. Her blood pressure reached 280 and she suffered from dropsy. Ms. Li had no appetite and she felt dizzy. She also suffered from uraemia and fluid around the heart. After being sent home her health deteriorated with each passing day and she then passed away on December 23, 2003. The fact that a healthy person has been tortured to death is directly linked to the illegal arrest made by Li Jianfei.
To date, three Falun Dafa practitioners have been tortured to death in Shuihua City. They are Liu Xiwen, Zhang Xiaochun and Li Xuelian.
7. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] The Evil Acts of the Shishan Township Police
In March 2003, Falun Dafa practitioners Gao Wenbiao and Ms. Ma Dongmei were reported as they hung truth-clarification banners on the No. 102 National Highway, while traveling on motorbikes. The Shishan Township Police went to arrest the two practitioners. Ms. Ma Dongmei was taken to Linghai City Detention Center and was sentenced to two years of forced labor by the Luyang Police Station and was later held at the notoriously evil Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Gao Wenbiao escaped the arrest with righteous thoughts and was forced to abandon his home to avoid future arrest. In the process of arresting Mr. Gao the policemen opened fire on him a few times. His motorbike is still at the Shishan Township Police Station. Mr. Gao's family asked to have the motorbike returned to them on several occasions but the police refused their request. Since then the police from the Luyang Township Police Station and the security guards frequently went to Mr. Gao's home to harass his family members.

8. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Wang Jianquan and Ma Fuyue Arrested
On the evening of January 15, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners Wang Jianquan and Ma Fuyue from Yangquanzi of Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province were reported as they were tearing down some posters that slandered Falun Dafa. The two people who made the report each received 500 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China]. The practitioners were arrested by the head of the Yangquanzi Police Station Cao Shusheng, political commissar Li Kejun and policeman Zhao Rongguo.

9. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] The Torment Suffered by the Family of Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhang Hongxia
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Hongxia from Zhuozhou's No. 4 Water and Electricity Bureau, Hebei Province was taken to a brainwashing center by her work unit in September 2001. Later, she left the center with righteous thoughts and abandoned her home, traveling from place to place to avoid arrest. Her husband tried to take their son with him to work in Tai'an City, Shandong Province. However, his work unit wouldn't even allow their 8-year-old son to leave Zhuozhou. They also forced Ms Zhang's husband to stop working. Now the father and son live a very hard life.
10. [Huocheng Xian, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region] Falun Dafa Practitioners Gong Hailiang and Han Jinzhong Sentenced to Forced Labor Again
Mr. Gong Hailiang, 25 years old, lives at the Second Team, Huiyuan North Village, Huocheng County in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. In March 2001, he was abducted by the Huocheng County Police and the Yili Prefecture Education through Labor Commission when clarifying the truth about the persecution and was sentenced to one year of forced labor. He was arrested again in August 2003 and was sentenced to one year of forced labor by the Urumqi City Police Station. He is now being detained at the Changji Forced Labor Camp in Xinjiang.
Mr. Han Jinzhong, 30 years old, lives in Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. He was arrested and sentenced to forced labor by the Urumqi City Police Station in 2001 when introducing Falun Dafa to other people. He is now being detained at the Changji Forced Labor Camp.
11. [Yueyang City, Hubei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Guo Danxia on Hunger Strike to Protest Persecution
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Guo Danxia from Yueyang City, Hubei Province was arrested while handing out truth-clarification material. She has now been detained for more than three months . She is currently being held at the Kangle Garden Detention Center in Yueyang City and is on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

12. [Shuifenghe City, Heilongjiang] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Liu Yushuang Falls Into A Coma as A Result of Forced Feeding
Ms. Liu Yushuang, 26 years old, is a Dafa practitioner of Shuifenghe City, Heilongjiang Province. At the end of November, 2003 she was reported while clarifying the truth about the persecution to local residents. She was arrested by the city "610 Office" and the Shuibei Police station and then held at a detention center where she suffered from inhumane torture. Ms. Liu has been on hunger strike for four days. Due to the brutal forced feedings, Ms. Liu fell into a coma and was sent to the hospital. Later she was released on bail for medical treatment. Now the police and those people from the "610 Office" harass her almost everyday, demanding money. They threatened to send her to a forced labor camp if she didn't give them any money. In theory she is out on bail for medical treatment, but actually she is constantly under the surveillance of the police and the "610 Office."

Dafa practitioner Feng Shaoyong is a Ph.D. of the Beijing Post and Telecommunication University and is detained at the Shenzhen No. Two Forced Labor Camp. The Director of the so-called "Special Administrative Office" of the camp Su Yijie incited others to torture Feng Shaoyong and as a result Mr. Feng suffered from injuries to both his lower back and legs. However, they still forced Mr. Feng to run laps.

On January 12, 2004, Ms. Mei was spotted via the monitoring system by the on-duty prison guard, Yang Dong, of the Mulan No. 2 Detention Center when she was distributing truth-clarification materials. The prison guard rushed out and arrested Ms. Mei. Since her arrest, Ms. Mei Guangqin has been on hunger strike.

16. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] After the Crimes of Persecuting Falun Dafa Practitioners Have Been Exposed Persecutors Seek Frenzied Retaliation
At the beginning of January 2004, some people in Xichang City, Sichuan Province sought frenzied retaliation against their victims after their crimes of persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners had been exposed. On January 12, corrupt authorities illegally arrested retired worker Chen Donglan from Changning Office, Xichang City. When her husband Fang Zhengping went to ask them to release his wife, he too, was detained. These wicked people threatened to send the couple to a forced labor camp.
On January 9, Xincun Police Station summoned Falun Gong practitioners. After this a member of the Legal Section of the city police station, Liu Jianying, went to practitioners' home to threaten their family members with forced labor and requested the security section of the work units where Dafa practitioners are employed to keep surveillance on those Dafa practitioners.
