(Clearwisdom.net, February 22, 2004) The deaths of twenty-six Falun Gong practitioners from torture in China have been reported during the past three months, and now the Chinese police are starting a new round of large-scale arrests against Falun Gong.
As more killings occur, a second candlelight vigil was held by Falun Gong practitioners in Austria to call for an end to the persecution and to demand Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese Communist Party leader, be brought to justice. Jiang Zemin has been accused of orchestrating the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, together with his accomplices Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang. Falun Gong practitioners gathered at the Chinese embassy in Vienna following a similar event last Thursday.
