(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Bi Yanzhen was a resident in Xinwenbeili residential quarter of Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. She was arrested on November 10, 2004. On November 12, she was sent to the Kaiping Labor Camp in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. This was the fourth time that she had been detained in this labor camp. While there, she was tortured severely by team leader Chen Xiaohua and the other guards. In less than ten days she had been beaten and tortured so severely that she was on the brink of death. Fearing to take the responsibility for her death, the labor camp authorities released her into her parents' care.

Ms. Bi Yanzhen was a middle-aged woman who was an excellent accountant at the Industry & Business Bank of Qinhuangdao City. Because she refused to give up Falun Dafa, she was persecuted many times and arrested about 10 times. During four of these arrests, she was sent to Kaiping Labor Camp. For the past four years, she has been under tremendous pressure both physically and psychologically.
At about 3 p.m. on November 10, 2004, police of the Port Area Police Branch of Qinhuangdao City Police Department arrested her again and ransacked her home without any legal papers. They confiscated her computer, laser printer, floppy disks and other items worth 10 thousand yuan.
On November 12, she was forcibly sent to Kaiping Labor Camp by officers of the Qinhuangdao City 610 Office and the Port Area Police Branch. Initially the labor camp refused to accept her due to her poor health, but the 610 Office personnel urged them to accept her no matter what state she was in. In the afternoon, as she stepped through the gate of the labor camp, she shouted, "Falun Dafa is good! Stop the persecution!" Team leader Wang Yan and a group of monitors (detainees used by police to monitor Dafa practitioners) forcibly dragged her away while covering her mouth and then they put a large piece of adhesive tape over her mouth. Ms. Bi almost suffocated due to the tape and then she was beaten to the ground. Her head was pulled along the ground and a lot of her hair was ripped out.
Team leader Chen Xiaohua personally directed the monitors to cover Bi Yanzhen's face, mouth and head with adhesive tape, and then gag her mouth with a piece of cloth. She was dragged up to the second floor with her head nearly covered with adhesive tape. A large chunk of her hair was ripped out this way.
She became very weak due to the repeated torture. She went on a hunger strike, and was exhausted by the third day. However, she kept telling people the truth about Falun Dafa and appealing against the persecution.
It was her fourth time in this labor camp. At the end of 2001, when she was sent to the labor camp for the second time, the police gathered together more than a hundred collaborators (former practitioners who turned against Dafa as a result of brainwashing and torture) to brainwash her and deprive her of sleep for 18 days. They tortured her for 30 days until her family took her back home due to her poor health. Bi Yanzhen was beaten and shocked with electric batons several times for practicing the Falun Gong exercises in the labor camp. Once she was hung from a tree branch for more than 10 hours when she went on a hunger strike.
This time she was under the surveillance of 3 monitors. They banned her from practicing Falun Gong exercises and reciting Dafa articles. However, Ms. Bi still tried to tell the monitors the truth about Dafa and even sang Dafa songs for them. Although they understood Dafa was good, these monitors continued to do bad things against their conscience in order to get a reduced term as a reward from the police.
On November 13 and 14, she was continually beaten for shouting "Falun Dafa is good!" Every time when she needed to go to the bathroom, she was asked if she would shout, "Falun Dafa is good" again. If she did, she would not be allowed to go.
On November 14, the doctor of the labor camp, He Hongwei, examined her, concluding that she was very weak. On her way to the bathroom, she was suddenly carried to a vehicle by the monitors and the team leader. Because she began shouting, "Falun Dafa is good," they covered her mouth with tape. She was taken to a hospital. Doctor He Hongwei had a prisoner surnamed Gao prepare an infusion for her. Seven or eight people tied her to a bed and fixed her limbs. During the intravenous infusion, her heart throbbed severely, but they paid no attention and continued to pump liquid into her. Her legs became very bruised and swollen. They didn't stop until Ms. Bi finally struggled to take out the IV.
On the morning of November 15, team leader Chen Xiaohua, An Huan'e and some monitors rushed into Bi Yanzhen's cell and bound her to a chair. They tightened the rope and started to force-feed her. When she shouted, "Falun Dafa is good," they covered up her nose and mouth.
Chen Xiaohua grabbed her hair from behind and then ordered the monitors to cut off Ms. Bi's long hair to humiliate her. Ms. Bi was exhausted after 10 of them tied her up and beat her. Wang Hongli, another doctor of the labor camp, had a detainee surnamed Gao force-feed her. Gao put the tube into her windpipe twice, causing excruciating pain.
Chen Xiaohua split a steamed bun in two and said to Ms. Bi, "If you shout again, I'll shove this bun into your mouth." Seeing that she was in severe pain while being force-fed, the monitors could not stand to watch and looked away, but Chen Xiaohua laughed cruelly. The food they forced into her stomach was thrown up, making Ms. Bi's clothing soaking wet.
The police stopped the heat supply to her cell, and it was very cold. The monitors felt cold even in a coat, but Bi Yanzhen was only wearing a sweater and her clothing was wet due to the force-feeding. Seeing she was so cold, the monitors put a heavy blanket on her while she was bound on a chair. She was having her menstrual period and blood saturated her clothing. She asked to go to the bathroom several times, but they did not let her go. Without Chen Xiaohua's order, they dared not release her from the bindings.
On November 16, Chen Xiaohua didn't come to work, so Bi Yanzhen was continually bound. She almost passed out due to the pain and cold. Her heart started to palpitate very fast and she collapsed. Then she suffered a heart attack and the team leader decided to take her to the hospital. The doctors there told them, "She could die if she does not get first aid." However, when Chen Xiaohua saw that she was dying, she didn't care a bit.
Bi Yanzhen is no longer able to take care of herself and her elderly parents now take care of her. In Kaiping Labor Camp, there are over 100 Dafa practitioners being persecuted in the women's team and dozens in the men's team.
