1. Mr. Huang Hongqi, 32-year-old, a Ph. D. candidate in the Mechanical Engineering Department. He was unlawfully detained in September of 1999. In December he was sentenced to 3 years' imprisonment in a labor camp and was expelled from school.
2. Mr. Jin Xin, 32-year-old, a Ph. D. candidate in the Chemical Engineering Department. He was unlawfully detained in September of 1999. In December he was sentenced to 3 years' of forced labor in a labor camp and was expelled from school.
3. Mr. Zhang Tongbin, 29-year-old, a postgraduate student in the Chemical Engineering Department. He was unlawfully detained twice in September and November of 1999 respectively. Later he was expelled from school without reasons.
4. Mr. Ye Mingjun, 26-year-old, a student in the Civil Engineering Department. He was unlawfully detained in November of 1999. Later he was expelled from school for his belief of Falun Gong.
5. Mr. Li Dong, 26-year-old, a student in the Civil Engineering Department. He was ordered to leave school in March of 2001. Later he was unlawfully arrested in November of 2002.
6. Mr. Lin Shokui, 24-year-old, a student in the Mechanical Engineering Department. He was suspended from school in March 2001 for one year.
7. Ms. Liu Jia, 26-year-old, a student in the School of Telecommunications, was unlawfully arrested and detained in 1999. Later she was expelled from school for her belief of Falun Gong. She was sentenced to 3 years' imprisonment in a labor camp in 2001.
8. Ms. Tian Sonson, 27-year-old, a student in the School of Telecommunications, was unlawfully arrested in 1999, and was later suspended from school for one year.
9. Ms. Song Meilan, 29-year-old, a student in the Mathematics Department, was unlawfully arrested in September 1999, and was dismissed from her public service work.
10. Mr. Wang Hongwei, 26-year-old, a student in School of Telecommunications was unlawfully detained in January 2000, and forced to leave school in March. In February of 2002 he was sentenced to 3 years' imprisonment in a labor camp. He got away from the labor camp in September and his whereabouts are unknown.

Some persecution cases of the faculty in Dalian University of Science and Technology:

1. Mr. Cheng Zongyi, 53-year-old, former deputy director of the University Library was dismissed from his job in 2000. In 2001 he was unlawfully detained for one month, later in October of 2002 he was detained in the ""brainwashing center for one month.
2. Ms. Li Chunling, 28-year-old, former staff member in the University Library was arrested twice in 1999 and sent to a Rehabilitation Center for brainwashing. In 2000 she was sentenced to 3 years' imprisonment in a labor camp, dismissed from her job, and fined 5,000 yuan [500 yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.].
3. Ms. Zhang Guilan, 58-year-old, former Associate Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering. She was unlawfully detained twice for 19 days and 15 days respectively in 1999.
4. Ms. Ma Haijian, 48-year-old, former staff member in the University Library was unlawfully detained for six months in 2001.
5. Ms. Qu Huang, 40-year-old, former staff member in the University Library was unlawfully detained for six months in 2001.
6. Ms. Wang Shuqing, 41-year-old, former staff member in the University Library was abducted from work (with only her uniform and slippers on) to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in May 2002. She was imprisoned there for over one year. During this period she was forcibly transformed. The ways of torture she received when they asked her to give up practice of Falun Dafa were various. She was tied up, with her hands bent backwards and cuffed. They yelled at her and beat her, and did not allow her to sleep for 7 consecutive days and nights.
7. Ms. Jia Jiru, 59-year-old, a retired staff member of the University was sentenced to one year' imprisonment in April 2003, and she's still in Dalian Forced Labor Camp.
8. Ms. Lu Rong, almost 60 years old, a retired staff member of the University was sentenced to two years' imprisonment in April 2003, and she's still in Dalian Forced Labor Camp.
9. Ms. Zhong Sujuan, 50-year-old, a former clerk at the University Shop was dismissed from her job, and was arrested several times after 1999. One time she was beaten with a plastic club and hung like an airplane for 3 consecutive days and nights by the police of Dalian Forced Labor Camp, Han Jianming. Because she was so steadfast in practicing Falun Dafa. Later she was hung in a steel cage for 17 hours.
10. Ms. Zhang Lihong, around 55 years old, a retired staff member of the University was unlawfully detained for half a month.
11. Ms. Zhu Hung, around 45 years old, an Associate Professor in the Human & Society Department was arrested when doing the Falun Dafa exercises in a park and sent to Yaojia Detention Center on August 30, 1999. In the detention center her hands and feet were tied up to a 20 ft. by 15 ft. steel shelf (this is an instrument of torture). The various tortures she received included; wearing handcuffs and shackles, and not being allowed to sleep for a prolonged time. Guards tortured her on shift, they used needles and tooth picks alike to sting her face, forehead, and eyebrows. Sometimes they slapped her face so she always looked bruised. Due to wearing the shackles, both her ankles were swollen and had formed pus, this caused a high fever. When her family received the notice to pick her up from the detention center her whole body was covered with wounds and she was mentally abnormal. Later she was sent to Dalian Mental Hospital and forced to take narcotics. The doctors even tied up her limbs to give her narcotic injections, specific personnel were arranged to monitor her so she would not practice Falun Gong. During the past 4 years, she was sent to mental hospitals for 5 times and she is still in one of them. All of this just because she read Falun Dafa books and told people the facts about Falun Dafa.
12. Ms. Yang Suhua, 57-year-old, an Associate Professor in the Mathematics Department was forced to leave her home to avoid persecution because of clarifying truth about Falun Dafa to her students.
13. Ms. Liu Yangwei, 45-year-old, a staff member in the University Library was arrested in 2001 and April of 2002 respectively, and was detained for two months. Later in October of 2002 she was imprisoned in a brainwashing center for half a month.
14. Ms. Sun Zhuanhong, over 30 years old, a teacher in the Affiliated High School of Dalian University of Science and Technology was arrested in 2001 and is still detained in Dalian Forced Labor Camp.
15. Ms. Qiao Shiuli, 46-year-old, a staff member in the University Computer Center was arrested in 2001, and later in October of 2002. She was imprisoned in a brainwashing center for over 40 days.
16. Mr. Sun Haibin, almost 70 years old, an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department was unlawfully detained twice after 1999.
17. Ms. Zhen Yuyin, about 60 years old, a retired staff member of the University was unlawfully detained in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for nine months.
18. Ms. Zhang Mingzhu, over 60 years old, a retired staff member of the University was unlawfully detained in 2001 and was fined 6,000 yuan.

Some persecution cases of the families of faculty in Dalian University of Science and Technology:

1. Ms. Ni Ling, over 60 years old, lived in South Mountain faculty home district. She was unlawfully sentenced to a labor camp in 2001 and fined.
2. Ms. Zong Dawei, 34-year-old, lived in East Mountain faculty home district. She was unlawfully detained for over 9 months in 2001.
3. Ms. Zhang Xinxin, almost 30 years old, lived in South Mountain faculty home district. She was unlawfully sentenced and served 2 years' in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp 2001.
4. Mr. Shen Jin, almost 30 years old, lived in South Mountain faculty home district. He was unlawfully detained in 2001.
5. Ms. Liu Faji, almost 60 years old, lived in South Mountain faculty home district. She was unlawfully detained for half a month in 2000, and 7,000 yuan she carried with her was seized.
6. Ms. Ji Hong, over 30 years old, lived in South Mountain faculty home district. He was unlawfully detained for half a month in 2000.
7. Mr. Liu Hongpou, over 20 years old, lived in Lingsui faculty home district. He was unlawfully detained and seriously beaten.
8. Ms. Xue Lin, 27 years old, lived in the Inner City faculty home district and was unlawfully detained at Tuan He Labor Camp for over a year in 2002.
9. Ms. Wang Yueji, 63 yeas old, lived in South Mountain faculty home district. She was unlawfully detained at Masanjia, Yaojia and Dalian Forced Labor Camps respectively totaled for 3 years since 1999.

Some practitioners at the practice site in Dalian University of Science and Technology were persecuted to death.

There were two practitioners who used to practice at Dalian University of Science and Technology who were persecuted to death. (total 19 Falun Gong practitioners have been tortured to death in Dalian)

1. Mr. Chen Jiafu, 41 years old, a former teacher at Dalian Jingong School was unlawfully sent to labor re-education in Zhoushuji Forced Labor Camp. On the 1^st or 2^nd day of July he was tortured to death at the labor camp.
2. Ms. Chi Yulian, 44 years old, lived in Wang Village, Linshu Town, Gangjingzi District. She was kidnapped by Linshui policemn Ji Changjun and Zhoushui policeman Cao Chaojin on May 29, 2001. She was tortured to death in Yaojia Detention Center on June 5, 2001.
