My Understanding of "Looking Inward"

Whether others' conduct conform to those of a practitioner is not important. What is important is our own conduct. Whether others can put away their selfishness or clear away attachments to fame, interests, and sentiment is not important. What is important is that we do so ourselves. Whether other people cooperate with us or not is not important. What is important is that we do our best to cooperate with others. Whether others have the attachment of fear is not important. What is important is that we should not have it. Whether others look inward or not is not important. What is important is that we ourselves look inward at all times. These are the most important to our cultivation. Only when we have elevated our xinxing (mind nature) can we do the current Fa-rectification tasks well.
