(Clearwisdom.net) On December 21, 2003, teachers and students from Minghui Schools in New York and New Jersey gathered at Columbia University, New York and held activities celebrating the New Year and clarifying the truth.

Since the establishment of the first Minghui School in Washington DC on January 6, 2001, Minghui Schools have been set up in many cities worldwide, such as Sydney and Melbourne, Australia; Toronto, Vancouver and Ottawa, Canada; many cities in Taiwan; Thailand; Tokyo, Japan; Seoul, South Korea; New York City and New Jersey, US.
Minghui School teaches the principles of Falun Dafa, instructing the children to behave according to Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. In addition, it offers classes on Chinese language, traditional culture etc. The students also learn the simple and effective five-set Falun Gong exercises to be healthy both physically and mentally.
New York and New Jersey Minghui Schools jointly held summer camps twice this year. Both parents and children had a very good response. The young practitioners from different schools established friendships during the summer camp. Upon the approach of New Year's Day, the two schools decided to hold a joint activity celebrating the New Year and clarifying the truth. The children wore colorful holiday clothing and greeted each other. Colorful ribbons in the classroom and special treats filled the room with a holiday atmosphere.
Teachers at the Minghui School said, "On this holiday season, we are very concerned about the countless children and their parents in China who are forced to leave home and are persecuted for practicing Falun Gong. The children in Minghui Schools wish to join the truth clarification effort to let more people know the facts of the persecution of Falun Gong in China." Under the assistance of their teachers, the children prepared truth-clarifying literature to be distributed to China.
At the end of the activity, the children lined up outdoors on the campus of Columbia University, pressed their hands together in front of their chests, and expressed greetings to Master Li: "Happy New Year, Master!"
