[Minghui Net] Not long ago, in Geneva, several practitioners had an opportunity to share experiences while in a train station restaurant. The focus of the discussion was how to keep up with the process of Fa rectification. During the discussion, we realized that in order to keep up with the Fa-rectification process, we had to make a fundamental change in our thinking -- from thinking like human beings to thinking like gods.
We understand from studying the Fa that our lives come from higher-level dimensions, and that part of us has been fully cultivated and has returned to our original nature. We also know that Teacher wants us to be particles of Dafa, "majestic Divine Beings who are unshakable and solid, like diamond." Oftentimes however, we are still manipulated by our human thoughts. In our deepest thoughts, we more or less still regard ourselves as human beings and thus are unable to break away from the obstacles in our thoughts which come from the illusions seen by our naked eyes. But even though we may still have many attachments, we "have almost become gods as soon as we have obtained the Fa" and continue to cultivate. The only difference here is that the better we cultivate, the easier it is for our godly side to manifest. We should view our existing human thoughts, our flesh bodies, as well as the karmic debts that we have to repay, from the perspective of a god, as opposed to using our human side to fight against our human thoughts and long for returning. Teacher says humankind "must fundamentally change its conventional thinking." Cultivators in the past cultivated from the outside to the inside. As long as the surfaces of their bodies changed, divine powers would emerge, and they would immediately know that they had become gods. This single thought allowed them to break away from ordinary people. In contrast, we cultivate from the microscopic to the macroscopic, and thus we depend on our enlightening to realize the truth.
When I truly enlightened to these principles from the depths of my heart, I felt changes in my body. After I left the restaurant and went to the crowded train station to promote the Fa, I found it so easy. I just stood there, holding Dafa flyers in my hands. Many people came to take the flyers even before I passed them out. Sometimes all I needed to do was glance at a person and he or she would come to take a flyer. It is really out of the mighty power of Dafa, the strength of the godly side, and the power of great benevolence that this was possible.
In his most recent article "Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful," Teacher says,
"Actually, every Dafa disciple has abilities. It's just that the abilities do not manifest in the surface dimension, so they think that they don't have supernormal abilities. But regardless of whether they can manifest in the surface dimension or not, when a person's True Thoughts come forth, they are very powerful."
According to my own understanding, the thought that "we are gods in the human world" is also a True Thought coming from the Fa and is also very powerful. This single thought can seemingly make Yuanshen (the Main Consciousness) return to the god body that has already been fully cultivated, rather than stay in the human body. We could also say that this thought energizes our godly nature. A god possesses everything that he has naturally, thus I found it easy to become tranquil at that moment, and experience the power of the Fa. I could not be easily manipulated by human thoughts either. Our human side is not fully cultivated, and we still have many depraved human thoughts as well as karma. Therefore, when we think about something using our human thoughts, it is almost impossible to have righteous belief, righteous thought, or True Thought. True Thought only comes from the god side.
When we truly change our human thoughts and realize from the perspective of the Fa that Dafa practitioners are "gods in the human world," the problem of lacking rationality will no longer exist because we will clearly understand that we still have flesh bodies, bad thoughts, and karma, and that we still need to "cultivate maximally in accordance with the state of everyday people." As a matter of fact, a god absolutely deals with problems with reason, wisdom, and sobriety. This is radically different than pursuing supernormal capabilities with human attachments or pursuing other various evil forms of enlightenment. Teacher says, "principles constantly become more and more profound."
Righteous thoughts are extremely serious, and they will not come forth in moments when we harbor attachments. In March, I attended a forum in Geneva. A person on my right emitted a bad odor. People finally understood why this person smelled so badly when he started to slander Dafa and attack the speech being given at the forum. At that moment, I wanted to send out righteous thoughts to suffocate this evil and stop him from opening his mouth. However, no matter how hard I tried to send out the thoughts, I could not see any apparent effectiveness. After this incident, I examined myself and finally realized that I was irritated by that odd smell and that I could not calm my heart, so how was I able to send out True Thoughts? They would certainly lack power. I fell into a vicious trap. It was similar to the way we fought the vicious people in China over the telephone. Once our hearts were moved by the various deeds of malicious people, our words would become less powerful.
As I write about True Thoughts, I am reminded of some recent prophecies in society. I think that regardless of whether the prophecies are effective or not, or true or false, their very emergence is a test to practitioners. Upon hearing these prophecies, if we ourselves develop attachments, then their emerging is actually to remind us to remove those attachments. There are no coincidences in cultivation. I realize that these events, to a certain extent, provide us with a chance to see if we really have become mature from the perspective of the Fa.
They relate to problems concerning the whole Fa-rectification process, and involve many factors that are unknown to us. Compared to the damage to our Teacher's arrangements caused by the old forces and the persecution, the things of Fa-rectification might be far more complicated. In "Suggestion," (Chinese version) Teacher explained that higher-level beings make obstructions to Fa-rectification, and that these vicious forces are currently making their last-ditch efforts. In addition, he indicated that practitioners who have stepped forward late or who have repented after going astray should double their efforts to establish their own mighty virtue in this difficult environment. Although we already have the power that Dafa provides us, we definitely cannot neglect to improve ourselves through solid cultivation. Dafa practitioners must "consider the Fa as the Teacher" in order to improve their Xinxing, and "cultivate in an absolutely upright and dignified manner" at all times. Only through practicing cultivation in an upright and dignified manner will the god part fully develop the mighty power that can and should be brought into play.
