[Minghui Net] Falun Dafa practitioner Mi Dazhu, female, 52 years old, is from Yuantou village, Yuantou town, Zanhuang County. On January 9, 2000, she was arrested because of appealing to the government to stop persecuting Falun Dafa (Great Law; Universal Principles). During her detention, Qin Xinguo, the director of the Public Security Bureau, interrogated her. After letting loose a torrent of abuse, one man stepped on Dazhu's hair and two others held electric batons to shock her. Dazhu was tortured to a state of unconsciousness and her pudendum (external genital area) was bleeding. Afterwards, she was detained for two months and was imposed a fine of 800 Yuan RMB (Approximately 1.6-month salary of an average urban worker). Practitioners arrested at the same time with Mi Dazhu included Caizi, Xuping, Xiwei, Lu Ximei, Cao Jinzi of Zhaojiazhuang village (who was fined 2,500 Yuan), Zhao Zhuying (was also fined 2,500 Yuan), Zhao Guoying (arrested twice and was fined 3,000 Yuan). Practitioner Lu Yinxi, from Hedong, was also beaten up brutally by Qin Xinguo himself.

Liu Yuzhu, a female practitioner from Tianjing, was arrested on July 2000 when she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. Since she refused to tell her name and address, she was sent to Zanhuang Detention Center. She went on a hunger strike for 12 days to protest against the illegal detention, but was beaten. The policewoman Li Guiping is utterly inhumane. She kept beating Liu Yuzhu on her face. She even clawed Liu Yuzhu's lower body and left it scarred everywhere. Seeing Liu Yuzhu face all these maltreatment's calmly, Li Guiping cursed out loudly, "I beat you until I am so tired, but you still dare to smile!" Liu Yuzhu's buttocks was beaten to the point of bleeding and severe swelling.

Zhao Ling, is 17 years old, and a female practitioner from Shandong province. She was arrested on July 2000 when she went to Beijing to appeal. She refused to tell her name and address and was hence sent to Zanhuang Detention Center. She was persecuted brutally. Her buttocks were beaten black and blue. Her two arms were scaled into more than 10 blisters. While she was being tortured, her cries could be heard from afar. People who heard it felt worried and touched.

Falun Dafa Practitioner Liu Ruiheng, male, 35 years old, is from Nanxule village, Longmen town. He has been under surveillance by public security officers since April 25, 1999. On July 20, 1999, he was detained for 20 days because he went to appeal for Falun Dafa and was fined 2,000 Yuan. In April 2000, he was taken from his home by policemen that used the excuse to have a friendly "talk" with him and was conversely detained for half a month in a Detention Center. He was beaten by prisoners several times. In July, he was again arrested without cause, detained for 2 months, and fined 2,000 Yuan. During a period after his release, Liu Ruiheng could not return home. To avoid the illegal persecution, his wife also had to wander about and became homeless, leaving their parents and young children unattended. Presently, Liu Ruiheng, has been arrested and sentenced to a forced labor camp.

Zhao Jianhua, a female practitioner from Zhaojiazhuang village, was arrested in December 1999 since she went to appeal for Falun Dafa. She was detained for one month and was fined 1,000 Yuan. Since the Spring Festival of 2000, she has been arrested, without reason, 5 times when she was at home. She is currently under illegal detention

Falun Dafa Practitioner, Cao Fashu, male, is from Hedong village, Yuantou town. He was arrested on July 2000 when he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. and was detained for more than one month. He was fined 2,000 Yuan. During his detention, he suffered all sorts of inhuman persecutions. For example, he was beaten by prisoners, forced to abuse the Teacher, and had to crawl like an animal. At the beginning of December 2000, a village cadre intruded into Cao's home and coerced him to go and live in the village office to attend the "transformation class". He was threatened that if he did not write a "Guarantee Statement"(a statement to denounce his practice of Falun Dafa), he would be fined 1,000 Yuan. If he refused to pay the money, he would be sent to the Detention Center.

Falun Dafa practitioner, Liu Zengchen, male, a resident of Yudi village, is a retired cadre. He was arrested from his home, just because he dared explain the truth in a letter that stated "Falun Dafa is good", "Falun Dafa is treated unjustly ". Four months have passed since he was arrested but he is still under detention.

Falun Dafa practitioner, Liu Zengliang, male, a resident of Yudi village, is a teacher. He suffered from the hepatitis virus. He fully recovered after he practiced Falun Dafa. In December 1999, he was arrested for his appeal on behalf of Falun Dafa practitioners and was fined twice each with 2,300 Yuan. In September 2000, he was arrested at home without cause and was illegally detained until today.

Falun Dafa practitioner, Zhou Fengmei, female, 47 years old, is from Chuanfang village. Before she practiced Falun Dafa, she suffered from several chronic and stubborn diseases such as cervical vertebra hyperplasia, breast cancer, and gynaecopathy. She could not even prepare meals for her family. After she practiced Falun Dafa, all the above-mentioned diseases were gone. She was arrested in December of 1999 when she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. She was detained for one month and was fined 2,300 Yuan. Afterwards, she was arrested twice from her home without reason. She has been detained for 4 months since the latest arrest. Her husband works for Yuantou town and had 2,000 Yuan deducted from his payroll.

Falun Dafa practitioner Du Guozhen, female, 39 years old, works in the County Court. She was arrested at home without reason and detained in Zhao County for two months. She was fined 5,000 Yuan and her actual loss accounted for 10,000 Yuan. She was beaten cruelly during her detention.

Falun Dafa practitioners Cao Quanru and his wife are residents of Xuting village. They were arrested in March 2000 and detained for two months because they went to Beijing to make an appeal. One day in July of 2000, they were deceived by the village government officials to come to the village government office. They were told that they had to stay in a detention center for a couple of days and would be released after July 20. They were then sent to the detention center and detained for over one month. They were also fined 1,000 Yuan. It was the season for hoeing the weeds and singling out the seedlings. As a result of their detention, their field was spoiled and was uncultivable, leaving the family further destitute.

The above-mentioned is only a fraction of the countless real life stories and bouts of courage and compassion displayed by Falun Dafa practitioners. Amidst the persecution and suffering they are patiently awaiting for all kind-hearted citizens of the world to step forward...

The Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners by Yuantou Village Government, Zanhuang County, Hebei Province

In July 2000, Yuantou village government took all the practitioners who live in the village (including Mi Ximei, An Guimei, Fang Meirong, Cao Zhanying, Yong Zhen, Wang Huazi, Shu Zhi, Tang Xiao, etc.) to the village office and didn't allow them to return home. They put the practitioners under close surveillance. They even sent a male to monitor outside the entrance when a female practitioner went to the restroom. The village officials ordered a practitioner to read, in front of the others, the lies they made up that slander Dafa and defame the Teacher. The practitioner flatly refused. Ren Shulin, a village official lowered himself by saying, "Whoever swears at your Teacher can be exempt from the fine." No practitioner paid attention to his words, so each of the practitioners was imposed a fine of 1,000 Yuan.

A Villain in Xinji, Hebei Province

Geng Zhanfeng, head of the Political and Security Section of Xinji City Public Security Bureau, is a vicious villain. He repeatedly led the policemen to raid the practitioners' homes and beat the practitioners. One day, when he was beating a female practitioner in Dashizhuang village, he incurred an instant retribution: his toenail fell off and its flesh and blood were exposed. However, he was still obstinately sticking to the wrong course and showed no sign of repentance. Practitioner Zhang Zhong was illegally sentenced (and now detained in Baoding) because he was determined to practice Falun Dafa. After Zhang Zhong had been detained, his family was still under surveillance. One day, a gang of policemen intruded into Zhang Zhong's home and seized his motorcycle. Geng Zhanfeng took the motorcycle as his own. Practitioner Zhang's neighbors in the village often saw Geng Zhanfeng ride around on the motorcycle, showing everyone his evil nature. We appeal to kind-hearted people from all circles to denounce and stop Geng Zhanfeng's crimes. Geng Zhanfeng's telephone number is 86-311-322-3752 (Home).

Falun Dafa Practitioners from Quzhou County, Handan City, Hebei Province had Money Extorted for Going to Beijing to Appeal

On July 20th 1999, a dozen practitioners from Qianchen village, Houcun town, Quzhou County rode on their bicycles to Beijing to appeal. They were caught and escorted back when they were passing Yuanshi county, Shijiazhuang city. They were first confined to the County Government Hostel. Those practitioners who were determined to practice were sent to a detention center. Since the area is backward in economic development, the local residents have very low incomes and live in poverty. The local government and police substation took the opportunity to extort money from the practitioners. The charge at the County Government Hostel was raised from 8 Yuan to 20 Yuan for one day. The practitioners' living expenses were also increased. They were fined before they were released.
