On February 7 (Lunar January 15), 2001, the practitioners from a city in Shandong province hung up hundreds of banners reading, "Dafa Rectifies the Human World."
Some banners were hung on the top of trees, some flew from the top of flagpoles, some were on the street lamp poles and advertising board poles, and some were attached to balloons floating in the air. We will use all our power and wisdom to save people.

[Shandong Province] Falun Dafa Broadcast to Wangcun Labor Camp
From 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the night of February 6, 2001, practitioners set up loud speakers to broadcast Master Li's articles "A Serious Teaching," "About the Psychotropic Drugs," "Snuff out the evil" etc. to the people in the headquarters and the first branch of Wangcun Forced Labor Camp.
After 7:00 pm on February 6, 2001, the practitioners brought loudspeakers and paint to the headquarters and the first branch of Wangcun Forced Labor Camp. They hung the speakers on the wall and on a tree about 10 meters from the residential buildings of the police guards. They also painted "Falun Dafa is Good!" "Dafa Rectifies the Universe," "Snuff out the evil" and "Falun Dafa is righteous" on the walls of the First Branch Camp.
The practitioners returned safely after hearing the broadcasting. The sound could be heard even 200 meters away.

Zhao Shuilan, female, 38 years old, is a Dafa practitioner from Wuwei city, Gansu province. Her husband usually locked her in the house. On November 14, 2000, she escaped from her home. Over the following month, she walked toward Beijing. Along the road, she begged for food and slept in the streets. Her shoes wore out. She also suffered many other difficulties. At the end of December, she arrived at Beijing to validate Dafa.

Since the Tiananmen "Self-immolation" event, the administrators of the first and second academies of Aerospace Ministry have increased their persecution of Dafa practitioners in order to a "follow current political trend" Even those practicing secretly at home are not excluded. Administrators have sent many groups of Dafa practitioners, based on their level of determination to practice, to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for torture. After coming back from camp, the practitioners suffer from various symptoms: their eyes look dull, some are disabled due to reaction from receiving drugs that damaged their nervous system and physical tortures.
[Beijing] The Shunyi Detention Center, Beijing Tortures Dafa Practitioners
A female Dafa practitioner from Henan, Li XX was arrested and sent to Shunyi Detention Center for appealing at Tiananmen Square on December 20, 2000. Police tortured her by forcing her to stand in a cold draft and pouring water on her after stripping her to single layer of clothes. Once the water froze, the police broke the ice, gathered it, and forced her to stand on it with bare feet. This torture was repeated several times. Later police pulled her back and forth by her arms. Once the police grew tired, they forced her arms backwards and twisted them. Despite these means, she still said that Dafa was good. Angry, the police angered then threatened to strip her to her underpants. Yet the practitioner still told them: "Are you not afraid to damage our country's image and your professional image when people find out that you persecute me this way?" They were at the end of their wits and tried to intimidate her: "We will beat you to death and bury you in a ditch. No one will charge us. We will then arrest others to replace you......"
[Changping County, Beijing] Police Torture a Dafa Practitioner and Make Him Mentally Disabled
A Dafa practitioner from Henan went to Beijing to appeal at the beginning of December, 2000. He was arrested and escorted to Changping Detention Center. Police tortured him by wrapping his head with plastic bags and keeping them tight until he was near death. He was tortured over 20 days like this. Due to deprivation of oxygen that damaged his brain cells, he now has become mentally disabled.
[North China] Dafa Practitioner's Husband Helps Release Her from Jail
Recently, a story has been circulated among Dafa practitioners in a city of North China. A female practitioner was arrested and escorted back by the local police sub-station for going to Beijing to appeal. When he heard she was arrested, her husband (not a practitioner) who has a bad temper, immediately went to the police sub-station to request her release. He asked the director directly: "Why do you arrest her?" The director replied arbitrarily: "Your wife went to Beijing. She created trouble for me!" Upon hearing this, her husband became angry: "Listen, release her immediately! If you create trouble for my wife, I will do that to your wife and kids. Believe me!" The director did not know what to think and was a frightened, so he ordered her release immediately. The female practitioner returned home and went to Beijing to guard Dafa after a few days. The police sub-station arrested her again. Her husband went to the station to request her release again. The director released her immediately without delay. This story demonstrates the role that family members of practitioners can play.
[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Police from Yudong Police Sub-station Arrest Dafa Practitioners before the Spring Festival
Yudong Police Sub-station, Shijiazhuang City planned to arrest many Dafa practitioners. The practitioners were determined not to cooperate with the police. They decided to follow Master Li's teaching: "If the evil has already reached the point where it is unsavable and unkeepable, then various measures at different levels can be used to stop it and eradicate it." (from Master Li's article of "Beyond the Limits of Forbearance", http://www.clearwisdom.net/eng/2001/Jan/02/JingWen010201.html, /translator) When the police knocked at the doors of their homes, the practitioners did not open the door. The police stood outside and the practitioners stood inside. They talked across the door. The practitioner's family members argued with reason and demanded that the police stop disturbing the family's order and stability. After about 20 minutes, the police knew themselves to be in the wrong and left. They planned to arrest many, but only 5 were arrested (and one of them walked out from the detention center). They were detained for 11 days without any reason and released. Now many people are awakening to and are stopping the illegal arresting.
[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Nine Dafa Practitioners are Sentenced to Forced Labor
On January 12, 2001, Shijiazhuang City sentenced 9 Dafa practitioners to forced labor. Yuhua Road Police Sub-station sentenced 4 and Yudong Police Sub-station sentenced 5 practitioners. One practitioner was not accepted by the labor camp because of his high blood pressure.
