1. Nanfaxin District Police Station in Shunyi County, Beijing, Persecuted Dozens of Dafa Practitioners:
By 6pm on December 13th, 2000, practitioners who refused to disclose their identity were sent to various county and district police stations near Beijing. Two female practitioners (one from Liaoning Province, and the other from the City of Tianjin) and me were escorted to Nanfaxin District Police Station in Shunyi County. The three of us were individually questioned. They took me into a room and demanded to see my identity cards. I said: "I won't tell you, since that will implicate others." They then shocked me with electric stun batons. They pulled up my clothes, and repeatedly jolted me on my back, chest, face, lips, and neck. The electric baton was about 3 feet long. Later on they applied two stun batons simultaneously. They stepped on my legs and applied shocks to the soles of my feet. I screamed out loud from time to time in excruciating pain, so did the other two practitioners. They kept on beating us like vicious beasts. They used hit us using martial arts blows against our arms, beat us with metal batons, whipped us with leather belts, slapped our faces, etc. After they got tired, they handcuffed my arms to the back, hung me up by my feet, and left me to freeze for two hours in the courtyard with only a thin blouse. Later on, all three of us were handcuffed together standing for the whole night. We were not permitted to doze off or go to the toilet. As if that were not enough, the police poured bucket after bucket of cold water onto the Liaoning practitioner. They acted like degenerated beasts savagely applying electric shocks to our belly buttons and nipples. On the second day, they again tortured us for two hours. One barbaric officer slapped us cheerfully and said: "We have taken care of more than dozen groups like you!"
2. At Beijing Chaoyang District Detention Center, Dafa Practitioners were Humiliated, and Robbed of Their Money:
I went to Tiananmen Square and unfurled Falun Gong banners on December 6, 2000. That afternoon I was arrested and sent to the Chaoyang District Detention Center.
As soon as we stepped onto the 3rd floor entrance, all Dafa practitioners were stripped of all our clothes including our underwear. Police then conducted a body-search on all of us. All were made to squat down with hands over our heads until bedtime.
In cell 601, practitioners #3158 and #3161 went on hunger strike. The Head of the cell guards, He Mila, and couple of his cohorts tied these two practitioners onto a flat board. They were totally naked after guards stripped off their pants. They were tied spread-eagle on the board. The two practitioners were left to freeze for two days and one night. Their eyelids were forcibly opened by inmate accomplices when they dozed off. If other practitioners were to attempt hunger strike, they would be forced to stand up through the night with their hands over their heads without sleep.
The Head of the cell guards would register the amount of money the practitioners carried and promised to return them upon release. However, each practitioner had to purchase a set of blankets (130 yuan), and a set of toilet articles for daily use (65 to 80 yuan). The practitioners who did not have this much money were "encouraged" to borrow from others. One way or another, the guards would figure out ways to relieve the practitioners of their money. Most practitioners from remote areas usually carried several thousand yuan with them; and since there were new arrivals of arrested practitioners and release of detained practitioners daily, and any one who did not disclose their identity would be kicked out minus their money, Chaoyang Detention Center made a fortune.
3. Beast-like Conduct at Beijing Xuanwu District Police Station:
On December 6, 2000, we were among a group of 50 Dafa practitioners being sent to the Xuanwu district police station on a large bus from the Tiananmen Square. In the courtyard, we were divided into 4 groups, and were interrogated one after another. The police would start off by offering cookies and water to practitioners to lure them to disclose their names and addresses. After seeing that Dafa practitioners were all upright and honorable, they immediately withdrew their feigned friendliness. A female practitioner was stripped to her underwear. The police then turned on an electric fan to blow cold air on her in the freezing weather. Six officers surrounded her and kicked her on her legs. Female practitioner (#B4) also suffered similar fate. After the fierce kicking by the police her leg-cramps were so bad that she could not walk. The police then lashed her with a leather belt. She ended up having a grand-mal seizure, dry retching, and an unknown heart condition etc. She was carried to the doctor's office and her pulse rate was 160/minute. Fearful of major complications and potential liability, the police released her the next day.
Female practitioner (#B49) was savagely beaten for nearly 3 hours after refusing to divulge her identity. After she was detained, the inmates beat her when she insisted on practicing. They punished her with "floor cleaning" 8 times. Police hit another female practitioner hard on her head, belted her face after she refused to disclose her name and home address. She later escaped with the handcuffs, and nobody knows her whereabouts to this day. Many female practitioners suffered humiliation after they were unclothed and then beaten. One of them (#B10) was beaten unconscious when she unfurled her banner. During the grilling, three ruffians beat her dragging her by her hair and throwing her at the wall, kicked her, thumped her with their knees, knocked her to the ground, and lashed her thighs and arms with bamboo and wooden sticks. Later, six thugs took turns slapping her face, burning her nose with cigarette butts, blowing cold air with an electric fan at her (the thug in charge was named Zhang Bin). These hoodlums were even trying to cut open the clothing on the female practitioners with scissors but were deterred by their upright demeanor and the solidarity of the Dafa practitioners.
4. Brutal Acts at Beijing Miyun District Detention Center:
On December 28, 2000, I was detained at Beijing Miyun detention center after refusing to disclose my identity. The hoodlums there came up with every conceivable means against Dafa practitioners. One female practitioner behind was almost beaten severely by batons yet they continued to torture her. A 70 year-old lady was severely beaten. An officer named "Wang" madly slapped my face. I nearly passed out afterwards and my face was swollen. There were quite a few red finger marks on both my face and neck. One of my eyes also had swollen up with black rings around it. There was a painful lump behind one of my ears. My vision and hearing have deteriorated. I ask all kindhearted people to extend their help and support so that the evil can be stopped.
