In China, there is a very ruthless man named Jiang Zemin. He has spent his life in the pursuit of power. After many years of bullying people and excluding outsiders, he finally took over the country's leadership. He now controls the Party, Government, and Army, and his control has gone straight to his head.
Jiang Zemin has a magic mirror that can answer his questions.
One day, Jiang Zemin wanted to know if there was anyone who was threatening his power. So, he asked the magic mirror, "Mirror, mirror, in China, who is the most popular among the people?"
The mirror answered, "Falun Gong."
Jiang Zemin was startled, "Falun Gong? Never heard of it." Ever since then, he was very unhappy. Although he found out that Falun Gong is a cultivation way only teaching people to be kind, and the cultivators are not interested in politics at all, Jiang Zemin was still suspicious. He then sent out a secret order to each province to get rid of Falun Gong.
Officials in each province knew Falun Gong very well. They knew that Falun Gong could improve people's health as well as their moral standards. It had actually stabilized the society and saved the country a large amount of money on medical expenses. Therefore, the officials took a perfunctory attitude and didn't actually do anything against Falun Gong practitioners.
A month later, Jiang Zemin asked the magic mirror again, "Mirror, mirror, who is the most popular among the people now?"
The mirror gave the same answer, "Falun Gong."
Jiang Zemin was very angry, "So they are fooling me. Since I could not do it secretly, I'll act in the open." Although he knew that opposing Falun Gong would make him lose the confidence of many people, he was too jealous to care.
So, he started to force each government department to announce that Falun Gong was an illegal organization, and he kept spreading slanderous rumors by means of radio, TV, and newspapers. He asked the International Criminal Police to put the founder of Falun Gong on the wanted list. (Of course, that was only his own wish, not a single country took notice of him.)
The ruthless Jiang Zemin looked triumphant then, thinking that Falun Gong would surely disappear now. He was so happy that he couldn't help reciting ancient poetry, "It will be gone with the wind." He wanted to continue, but forgot the next line. After all, he was an ignorant and incompetent tyrant, only knowing how to bully people and how to grab power. He asked the magic mirror again, "Mirror, Mirror, who is the most popular among the people now?"
The mirror answered, "For now, a lot of people are deceived by you and started to suspect Falun Gong, but many Falun Gong practitioners are going to Beijing to appeal and reveal the truth, your lies won't last long."
After hearing that, Jiang Zemin was scared. Although many people were deceived, some Falun Gong practitioners were scared, but none of them actually changed their minds because of him. He was afraid of the terrible fate that awaited him after his lies were exposed. He thought, "Now I'm unable to extricate myself from it, I have to fight to the bitter end." He thus became even more irrational, tearing down his mask and throwing away all disguises.
Jiang Zemin and his underlings employed all possible forces to persecute Dafa -- radio, television, newspaper, army, police, public security, secret agents and all the means available to them. The mass of evil force was unprecedented, and it eventually involved whole country. He also worked out a very wicked scheme, implicating others. For those who would not stop practicing, their family members, their supervisors, their local police substations and the people in their communities would all lose their jobs. (At that time, it was very hard to find a job, so unemployment was a very terrible thing.) There was another regulation not in written form: Credits would be given to those who beat Falun Gong practitioners, and it was no crime to beat the practitioners to death because it could be called a suicide, or it could be said that Falun Gong taught its practitioners to commit suicide. With plenty of money available, and the sanctioning of such brutal criminal behavior, a lot of immoral people came out who were willing to play along. Thus, Falun Gong practitioners suffered even worse persecution. There were countless practitioners being injured, killed, jailed, sent to the labor camp, and sentenced to mental hospitals.
In addition to what he did in China, Jiang Zemin also dragged his decayed body around the world. Wherever he went, he slandered Falun Gong anxiously, and asked people to not practice Falun Gong. But, overseas people would not listen to him, and he became the shame of China. Gradually, more and more people in the world came to know the goodness of Falun Gong and they joined the Falun Gong cultivation group. Many countries issued the practice awards and positive proclamations, as well as condemning China's abuses. They also nominated Falun Gong to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. More people have seen through Jiang Zemin's wicked, jealous and ugly face.
After all this traveling and slandering of Falun Gong, how could Jiang Zemin's decayed body bear such a loss? He could hardly move his legs. In his weak voice, he asked his magic mirror, "Mirror, mirror, how about now?" The mirror said, "Your lies have been exposed, Falun Gong is very welcome all over the world now, and people all around the world are calling you a tyrant, they all know that you are evil, Jiang Zemin."
Now, the evil Jiang Zemin knows that his end is coming soon.
