Practitioner Yujing, male, 38 years old, is a government employee. He was cruelly tortured from August 9 to 22, 2000.
On the night of August 9, Yujing was detained in the local police station of x town. He was handcuffed in the corner of the room and brutally beaten, by police officer Cao of the city police station, for as long as an hour. At the beginning, officer Cao beat Yujing's face with Yujing's leather belt taken out from his pants. The corners of Yujing's eyes were beaten until swollen, with brown and black bruises. Yujing's ears were filled with a buzzing sound. His mouth and gums were bleeding and swollen. Later, Yujing's face lost sensitivity and could only move along with the motions of Cao's beatings. After he was beaten down to the floor, Yujing was further beaten on his buttocks and thighs with a rubber pipe until Cao was exhausted. Then, they pulled him to a police vehicle and sent him to the city police station.
Around 2:00 am in the early morning of August 10th, Yujing was detained in a room on the second floor of the city police station and was not allowed to sleep for the whole night. He was handcuffed until 5:00 am. He cleaned the room, corridor and front yard. He was detained in Xinghualu police station from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm without food or drink. He was then transferred to and detained in a detention center until 2:00 pm of August 12.
As soon as he entered the detention center, he was cruelly beaten and tortured by a 'team leader'. He was cuffed with rusty handcuffs and shackles. The team leader brutally beat him over his whole body with rubber pipe, including his head, face, neck, both sides of his torso, and his upper and lower body. Once tired out, the team leader dragged him from the corridor to the yard. While resting on a chair, the leader beat and cursed at him. After the leader was done, Yujing was detained in a control room and handcuffed to an iron chair for 40 hours. He was not released from the chair until 11:00 am on August 12, when his handcuffs and shackles were removed in order for him to be transferred to the city police station. Yujing is still in shock, remembering the torture vividly.
Firstly, he was cruelly tortured on the iron chair for 40 hours and was not allowed to go to the restroom, even after requesting it several times.
Secondly, during the day, inmates went to work in front of the detention house and he was asked to walk there with the iron chair on his back. Seeing that he was too weak to move with the iron chair, two inmates were ordered to help carry the chair, and he was told to walk. Actually, he could only move little by little with each move only around several inches at a time. When he moved to the end of the corridor to step down a few stairs, although it was only a few steps he felt at that moment as though they were thousand-foot-high stone steps. Just as Master Li said: "With great will to move ten-thousand-pound heavy legs, enduring hardships to further advance and get rid of attachment." At last he descended calmly. As he walked down the steps, the team leader told other inmates: "This is the result of practicing Falun Gong". While moving forward, Yujing raised his head as high as possible and looked at them in order to let them see clearly and consider what power enabled a Dafa practitioner to be so strong that he could not be crushed. When walking back to go to bed in the evening, since he had not eaten all day, he could not walk back as he did in the morning. A leader said: "Let four people carry the iron chair back." The next morning, he was again carried back in that manner.
Furthermore, before leaving the detention center, he was again brutally beaten by Cao with intensive punching to his face. His cash on hand, keys, driver's license and a new motorcycle were forcefully confiscated. (no receipt, no fine ticket and no detention ticket.)
When he was transferred to another city police station, he was handcuffed and shackled, with the handcuffs and shackles together behind his back, and detained on the second floor. Again, he was cruelly beaten and tortured. He was tortured with an instrument, with which his palms and the underside of his feet were beaten but which left no trace on his skin. Finally he was detained for criminal sanction, but he refused to sign the paperwork. A department head said: "I'll sign on his behalf. It's OK just to have his fingerprint on it." Then five or six people forcefully tried to get his fingerprint. He was sent to the detention center without fingerprinting. He was not released until August 22. During his stay at the detention center, he went on a hunger strike. He was force-fed through his nose on August 16. In order to get the food through his nose, he was given a shot and then a tube inserted. It took ten tries to successfully put it into his nose. The torture lasted for one hour until he was exhausted; they eventually reached their goal. Later, they realized that Yujing, who lay on cement floor and could not move at all, passed out due to the torture. Every day the warden went to see him and asked other inmates if he was breathing. He was released on August 22 and helped back home by his wife. This is the third time that his wife (who is not a practitioner) had to bring him home like this.
We ask people world-wide: why was a good person tortured like this?! Why do Falun Dafa practitioners have such a strong will and endure hardships that everyday people cannot? Why do Dafa practitioners have such great compassion and forbearance even when facing evil? Why do Dafa practitioners not fear death? The answer is: Falun Dafa is very righteous!! Dafa practitioners are very righteous!!
