Master Li has said: "Never get involved in politics, nor interfere with state affairs. Genuinely practice cultivation and be good. Keep Dafa pure, unchanged, and indestructible like a diamond, and it will thereby exist forever. " (Dafa Will Forever be Pure Like Diamond)
Some people have said: " Falun Gong practitioners say they are not involved in politics, but going to Zhongnanhai itself was a political act." Is this true?
Master Li said in New Zealand (I can not remember the exact words, just the rough meaning): "Practitioners going to Zhongnanhai was not a political act. They had no banners, no slogans; they were not protesting or demonstrating. They held a benevolent heart, and went to appeal to the Chinese government for justice because the police in Tianjin beat and arrested our practitioners, and claimed we were evil. We all know that everyone here is trying to be a better person, so when they claim we are evil, how can we accept it? Because they were not given an opportunity to speak in Tianjin, they went to Beijing to appeal to the central government."
So the question is: "What is political?" Should we follow the definition of everyday people or the definition from the dictionary? Is it defined by the Chinese government? Is it defined by Jiang?
After the crackdown in July 1999, practitioners in North America went to Washington DC to appeal to the U.S. Congress and Senate, to tell them what happened in China and to ask for help from the international community and from all people around the world. Are all these things political? The Chinese government will say, yes. Maybe many everyday people will agree. However, Falun Gong practitioners will say NO! We just told the world about the truth.
Then what is "Politics"?
In the past year, some police and officials in China beat Falun Gong practitioners so hard that more than 50 have died from the persecution. More than 600 were sent to mental hospitals, and 10,000 sent to labor camps. Should these be kept a secret? Does it endanger the safety of the country to tell the truth to the public? Is this being political?
Master Li said: "The actions they are now adopting in the persecution of Dafa and its practitioners are extremely wicked and shameful, and they fear these will be exposed. Their evilness must be made known to people around the world. This is also offering people salvation." (Rationality)
While Jiang is not only the head of this evil force, he has also personally done many wicked, evil, and shameful things. Should they not be exposed to the public? Is this being political? Does it interfere with state affairs? Some said that it is political because we attacked the leader of a country. Is this the truth?
Master Li once said (rough meaning): "Because of the fake reports by the media, many predestined people will lose their chance of obtaining the Fa. This is most pitiful. Some of these people even have a great predestined relationship with the Fa". We cultivate compassion. Shouldn't we tell them the truth while the Chinese government is fooling them? When we use newspapers, radio broadcasts, TV programs, flyers, etc., to tell the truth to the public, are these activities political?
Mater Li once said (rough meaning): "Some religious leaders fight for power, and land. Are they true cultivators? Real cultivators do not care for the land on the earth, what they seek is to return to Heaven."
These are my personal ideas for your reference.
