On September 17, the Culture Festival of Rockville Maryland was held in Rockville Civic Center. Some local Falun Dafa practitioners attended this event as representatives of Chinese culture. It was a gorgeous day, the yellow T-shirts enscribed with "Falun Dafa" and "Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance" and the practice uniforms together with the blue sky and green grass. It was beautiful.
We set up our exhibition site very quickly. There were big banners with "Falun Dafa Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance" in both Chinese and English. Also, there were poster boards with pictures of Master Li teaching Falun Gong around the world and practitioners doing the exercises. One practitioner very thoughtfully brought some yellow balloons and they made the event more like a festival.
The mayor of Rockville first congratulated everyone for attending the festival, and then led all different cultural groups around the event site. There were more Falun Gong practitioners than any other culture attending and that made our team very outstanding. Later, we started to demonstrate the 5 sets of exercises. At once, people were attracted to our exhibition site. Some brought their chairs and sat in front of us, some gathered around the poster boards and asked for information, and some even wanted to learn right away. One of our practitioners introduced Falun Dafa to the audience while we were doing the demonstration. Sometimes she told experience stories about some practitioners who were on the team. Everyone showed great interest.
In order to attend this activity, some practitioners had to overcome a lot of difficulties. Despite these difficulties, everyone felt that it is now the moment for every practitioner to come out and help to spread Falun Dafa. As long more people know the truth of Dafa, they are willing to endure the hardship and be very happy and proud.
