(Mainland) Associate professor Wu Xiaohua in a College of Hefei city was secretly committed to a mental hospital.

I am the younger sister of Wu Xiaohua who was a leading character in the Minghui Net news from Hefei on August 18^th, 2000. In the morning of September 12^th Mid-autumn holiday, I was shocked to hear from a relative that one and a half months ago, my sister was transferred secretly from the Anhui province female labor camp to the Anhui province mental hospital where she was forced to receive injections and drugs. The entire process was done secretly. No one including relatives could see her. Until the mental hospital asked for 5,000 RMB medication fee from the College my sister worked in, the secret of Wu Xiaohua was forced to receive "psychiatry treatments" in mental hospital was revealed.

The hospital is the place of lifesaving with humanitarianism. It is incredible to detain a college associate professor with kind, humble character, body mentality health, and high knowledge, and even force her receive injections and drugs, which remind me of the vicious behavior of Japanese army unit No. 731 when they committed aggression against China. It also reminded me of the news reported on the Internet that Falun Dafa practitioners were detained in mental hospitals and forced to receive injections of drugs that are harmful to the central nervous system. Some practitioners were even deprived of their lives by the treatment. I do worry about my sister.

I call on the doctors and nurses to keep your medical ethics. Even though you were asked to do that, you still should reject the cruel action of treating a normal person in good health both in body and mentality.

I call on the leaders of my sister's College to help your employee;

I call on my sister's colleagues to help your warmhearted companion;

I call on my sister's students to help your kind teacher;

I call on all related persons to help obtain the release of Wu Xiaohua from the mental hospital.

My sister's husband and son are waiting for her. Her devoted teaching work and her students are waiting for her. Her old parents, brother and sister are waiting for her. To cultivate in "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance" is definitely not wrong. They should not be detained or put into a mental hospital.

As the sister of Wu Xiaohua, I will try my best to call on all the kind people in our Country and abroad to be educated about the persecution of the Falun Dafa practitioners and give them moral support.

[Mainland China] Most Dafa practitioners at Fenjin labor camp in Changchun City persist in practicing Dafa

July 12th, the judiciary departments of Jilin province assembled the Dafa practitioners at Fenjin, Weizigou, and Chaoyanggou labor camps for training at Fenjin labor camp. The rule is to strictly administer those practitioners not yet "transformed". As one custodian said: "You have your buttocks and we have planks, let us see who will be more vulnerable to sitting." The practitioners had to sit for about 14 hours everyday. Six to seven practitioners sat in a bed 1.8 meter long with their waist upright and hands clasped behind back, and they were not allowed to move. They packed 12 practitioners to sit on a long bench only a dozen centimeters wide and after the bench broke from the overloading they replaced the bench and let the practitioners continue to sit. This lasted for a few hours and the practitioners became exhausted and gasped. The temperature was as high as 30 Celsius degrees in July. Sometimes the custodians intentionally closed the doors and windows so that it was very hot and suffocating in the rooms. The custodians watched the practitioners in the rooms from the corridors. When the doors were opened the hot air blew on their faces. The practitioners' clothes were all wet from their perspiration. Some practitioners had scabies, some practitioners' buttocks festered from the sitting but they still persisted. One practitioner said: "I'm willing to have my body smashed to pieces for validating Dafa". Another practitioner said: "If only one person in this world practices Dafa, that person should be me." They are all silently enduring suffering unbearable for ordinary human beings, waiting for those people lost in the maze of the society of ordinary people to awake as soon as possible and those people still doing evil deeds to wake up earlier.

At the second brigade of Fenjin labor camp, there were 78 Dafa practitioners in the three "transformation classes", most of them persisted in practicing Dafa. One of them was jailed in a small cell for his "stubbornness"; many of them were still sitting for 14 to 15 hours everyday at the "strictly administered class" for not writing a "guarantee" [to give up their belie] and "repentance". Some practitioners' buttocks festered from the sitting and quite a few practitioners had scabies. Their custodians were perpetrators from other brigades. The practitioners of the "strictly administered class" were not permitted to be visited by their family members or relatives. Moreover, either by the order from the higher authority or by their own will, the term of imprisonment of the practitioners was increased by 2 days if they are not transformed each day. Currently the terms of imprisonment of some practitioners have expired but were renewed because of their persistence in practicing Dafa and refusing to write a "guarantee" and "repentance". Some were sentenced with extra 70 to 80 days in labor camp, some with a few extra months. Even so, with the publishing of Teacher's new articles "Rationality" and "Eliminate your last attachment", more and more practitioners are awakening and beginning to ask the "instructors" to cancel their previous "guarantee" and "repentance". Currently most of those practitioners who have once written "guarantee" and "repentance" expressed that they will persist in practicing Dafa firmly and will not play with words again.

This trend made the "instructors" who had already made progress in "transforming" practitioners angry and helpless.(Mainland) Using every opportunity to awaken lost people

In some province, a meeting of deposing of Falun Gong practitioners was held on August 25^th. Before the meeting a lot of leaders came here to persuade us. They asked us to write three articles: one for "disclosing and criticizing" Falun Gong, one for regretting Falun Gong practice, and one for promising not to practice Falun Gong any more. If we met with the requirements, we would sentence to a shorter imprisonment. If criticizing Falun Gong deeply, we would permit to reunite with our family. But most of practitioners firmly cultivated Dafa with the heart unmoved and tried to use this opportunity to "Validate the Fa with reason, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and offer people salvation with benevolence" (Adapted from scripture Rationality). The leaders continued to make compromises. From asking for three articles, they change to just need one. And then they asked us to write, "No practicing here". At last they asked us write, "Since it is not permitted to practice here, I would not practice here." But practitioners were all in clear heads. They did not become bewildered by these, which shocked these leaders. This perhaps could awaken the lost.

The police violate the law while executing the law. They act against the national policy of "No beating and scolding, no physical punishment, no abuse and no insult of personality" towards the inmates at labor camp and brutally abused Falun Dafa practitioners and physically punished them. For instance:

1. Beating

When Dafa practitioners at labor camp persisted in practicing exercises and reciting articles, the police would either order the criminals to beat the practitioners or beat them in person. Sometimes the Dafa practitioners were beaten black and blue, sometimes they were beaten up by several people after they were tied up and forced to kneel down.

2. Force-feeding

When Dafa practitioners went on a hunger strike, the police would demand their guard and inmates to force-feed the practitioners. They twisted the noses and pinched the faces of the practitioners, kicked them and poked their tongues with chopsticks while they were cursing and threatening the practitioners with words. Some practitioners' mouths, throats and faces were wounded from the force-feeding.

3. "Fan Xing"

To force the practitioners to make the guarantee of "No practicing, no hunger strike, no copying and spreading articles", the police punished the Dafa practitioners at labor camp with "Fan Xing" (handcuffed to bed-legs while squatting with both hands tied behind the back). Except for eating and going to the bathroom, the practitioners were tortured in this way day and night. They can only sleep while in a squatting position. Some practitioners were tortured continuously for over 20 days or 30 days. If they were not "transformed", they had to eat "small-sized meal" (one cake per meal without rice soup) or were handcuffed more tightly. The police said that this was already lenient enough; if they still don't transform they will be hung up and not allowed to sleep. Some Dafa practitioners were later deprived of the right to sleep and bathe for several days.
