[Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province] Practitioners Suffer Further Persecution
5 practitioners from Yancheng City have been detained in the Longgang Mental Hospital from 11 days up to over one month.
3 practitioners including Ms. Gao Yulan have been given one to one and a half year of forced-labor.
The Yancheng Police Department constantly transferred the detained practitioners so that their family members could hardly find out where they were. An estimation of over 20 practitioners is being detained.

On the night of July 5, three practitioners from the Textile Mill of Yancheng City were taken away by the police department of Yandu County without any paper work. Up to July 7, eleven practitioners from Yandu County had been detained and were not allowed to sleep for up to 45 hours. A few practitioners have been given criminal detention on the accusation of "damaging the implementation of law by using evil religious organization".
In the Panhuang New District, dozens of Falun Gong practitioners were forced to learn other Qi Gong and Taichichuan. However, the practitioners would rather die than learn this X Gong. The police beat up practitioners and even threatened their family members to persuade and beat up practitioners in order to let them write a pledge that promised 10 items such as giving up Falun Gong, exposing and criticizing Falun Gong, and never getting in touch with Falun Gong etc. the practitioners would not be allowed to use toilets or take a bath if they refused to write the pledge.
[Jining, Shandong Province] Punishment towards Falun Gong Practitioners By a Local Residential Committee
Below is the translation of the decision of punishment of Falun Gong practitioners by a residential committee of Jining City, Shandong Province:

According to the spirit of banning Falun Gong from the higher authorities, in combination with the local residential committee, it was decided after the discussion by the residential committee that the below punishments are to be imposed on any Falun Gong practitioner who was either reported by the mass or arrested by some related departments:
1, the practitioner himself/herself cannot enjoy any benefit from the residential committee.
2, Water and power supply in the apartment where the practitioner lives will be cut off for three months; the practitioner would be charged a price double the amount on the water and power usage within two years;
3, the house of the practitioner will not be issued a house-property certificate.á
4, the practitioner's parents and other directly related family members would not have any retirement pay for two years and would not be compensated in the future.

[Beijing] Practitioner Li Hai, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, got illegally detained on the accusation of "attacking the jail" when he attempted to visit a prisoner
Practitioner Li Hai, an employee from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was taken away by the City police department recently and detained on the accusation of "attacking the jail".
Li Hai, 28 years old, a party member, Master degree, held the position of making Macao's Basic Laws after Macao's return before he got arrested for the first time. Last November, he got detained for one month for going to the Appealing Office of the State Council to report the truth of Falun Gong to the central government. Later, he was picked up by a company representative and sent back to his hometown in Shandong Province. At the beginning of the year after Ms. Li Hai went back to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he had not be assigned any work. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs pressured him to resign from his post many times after he refused to change his belief in Falun Gong. This June 12, Mr. Li Hai went to the Tiantanghe Jail in Daxing of Beijing to visit the detained practitioners. He got arrested before he could arrive at the Jail and then detained in the Daxing Detention Center. Mr. Li Hai thought that the police had violated the law in detaining him and thus refused to tell the police his working unit and his name. He had been on hunger strike for 8 days and suffered beatings and forced-feedings during that period. Later, he was recognized by the police and sent back to his company. He was put under surveillance by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and lost his personal freedom. He was expelled from the party and was forced to resign from the post. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also took back the dorm assigned to him and asked him to go back to his hometown in Shandong Province.á
[Sichuan Province] A Police Died of Sudden Attack of Serious Illness
When a police in charge of house registration from a police station in the Qingyang District of Chengdu City warned a practitioner not to go to Beijing to report the truth of Falun Gong to the central government, he said, "If you dare to go, I will get you into the detention center. I have already gotten the practitioner XXX into the detention center." This practitioner then said, "Do not do that. You will regret it when the Fa is rectified." The police replied "Don't mention it to me. I would have already died when the Fa is rectified."
A few days ago, this police suddenly died of a serious illness.
[Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Persecution in Chengdu City
The government and the police station of Baohe Village, Chengdu City, has detained five practitioners including Liao Qizhen in a small room located in the Village government since June 24. The female and male practitioners are being detained together. They could not leave the room at any time, and has to stay in the room for all activities including eating, sleeping and using the toilets. It was said that they would not be sent to the detention center until the end of this July.

Practitioner Cheng Zhang, an employee from the Agricultural Bank of Longquanyi District, had been taken away on June 19 for refusing to write the pledge that he would give up Falun Gong. His home was also ransacked.á
Recently, his family members received a notice from the police that he would be given another criminal detention of one month because he continued to practice Falun Gong and introduce Falun Gong to other people in the jail.

Huaying City:
1, The whole family got persecuted if one family member practiced Falun Gong.
Practitioner Mr. Tang Guoping was a doctor from the Yanghe Town of Huaying City. He was arrested when he went to Beijing to report the truth of Falun Gong in the mid of this June. He got detained in the local police department after being escorted back from Beijing. The Municipal government of Huaying ordered the public health bureau to revoke his medical license, to stop paying his elderly father who was also a doctor the retirement payment and to prohibit his father from seeing patients. His second younger brother Mr. Tang Jianguo was also forced to stop seeing patients. His third brother is a western medicine distributor and was forced to suspend his business as well.
2, The police makes a fortune by detaining practitioners at will
In Huaying City, a practitioner would have to pay a fine of 5,000 Yuan or go to the jail if he/she refused to write the pledge that he/she would give up Falun Gong. On July 1 when practitioners from Luodu Town of Yuechi County, Li Chenbi and Zeng Chengzao were watching video at the home of practitioner Zheng Bing from the Jianghua Plant at the Qinghua Town, the police from the Qinghua Police Station and the security officers from the Jianghua Plant suddenly broke into the room and took the three of them to the Police Station. They then got detained since they refused to write the pledge and refused to pay the stiff fine of 5,000 Yuan. They are now still being detained.
On July 1, practitioner Ms. Wang from the Qinghua Town ran into police officer Liu and the official from the Jianghua Plant when she went to a public restroom. They therefore took Ms. Wang onto the police car with force and took her to the police station for interrogation. Ms. Wang was illegally detained for 24 hours at the police station. During that time, the police had threatened and deceived Ms. Wang. They threatened her that she would not be allowed to go home as long as she refused to give up Falun Gong and moreover her retirement pay would be deducted and she would be thrown into jail.á
Yuechi, Sichuan Province:
Practitioner Xia Dazhi, from the Luodu Town, was suddenly called to the police station. The police forced him to give up Falun Gong and Ms. Xia refused. The police then transferred him to the Criminal Section of the Police Department of Yuechi County and forced him to pay a fine of 5,000 Yuan. Mr. Xia refused again. Now Mr. Xia is still being detained. The police threatened his family members that he would be sent to labor camp if they refused to pay the fine.á
Guangan, Sichuan Province:
On May 25, the Court of Guangan City opened a trial for practitioners Cao Junjian, who got detained for going to Beijing to report the truth of Falun Gong to the central government. The Court delivered the tickets to every working unit. All practitioners were forbidden to audit the trial.
[Guangzhou City]á
Every police station of Guangzhou City started to detain the practitioners within its control last night for fear that the practitioners would post the flyers of exposing the truth of Falun Gong on the street.
Some police and street officers went to knock the doors of some practitioners late at night. The family members who were non-practitioners felt extremely annoyed at their deeds. Later, some police stations told the family members that they could release the practitioners if they could guarantee that they would not go out. Some family members felt angry because the police had severely disturbed their normal lives by taking away the practitioners at will, and therefore refused to guarantee that. They even told the police that they would go to Beijing to appeal themselves if they did not release the practitioners. At the end, the police had to release the practitioners. The situation of some other practitioners is still unknown.
[Guangdong Province]á
Practitioners who got detained for joining the group practice on June 18 have been released after 15 days of administrative detention.
The female practitioners who are on hunger strike in the Dongshan District Detention Center have been pressed down by some male criminals to be forced-fed with salt water, cereal, milk and even chili water.
In Nanhai of Guangdong Province, the 40 practitioners who got detained from June 18 to the end of June for practicing Falun Gong outside or just at home were all given 30 days of criminal detention. Practitioner Zhang Fadong got arrested when joining the group practice in Guangzhou on June 18 and was given one-year forced-labor afterwards. Practitioner Zhong Xiuqiong got arrested at home and was given 2 years forced-labor.
[Wuhan, Hubei Province]
The police put all practitioners who got arrested during the Chinese New Year's eve under house arrest in a place outside the jail after their detention was due or overdue since the police did not want to release them. The police forced them to write the pledge that they would not go to Beijing to appeal again. The practitioners had refused to write the pledge. Up to this May, about 20 practitioners were still being detained. Then, the police transferred the practitioners from Jianghan District to the Erdaopeng to accept military training and education. The practitioners from Jiangan District were transferred to the countryside of Huangpi, which was unknown to family members.á
Currently, several dozens of practitioners including the well-known gynecology and obstetrics professor Ms. Huang Liping are being detained in the Huangpi County. Everyday they have to do hard labors. Every mouth, their family members must pay 1,000 Yuan for them to cover their expenses.
Practitioners from Wuchang are being detained in Qingling.
