12 practitioners were detained in a CCP (Chinese Communist Party) School in a county of Shandong province. At around 8 pm on Dec. 9th, Falun Dafa music 'Pudu' (Salvation to all) was suddenly playing clearly around the ears of the detained practitioners. It turned out to be that the practitioners outside the school had made a lot of loudspeakers and placed them around the school; they played the music regularly. The 12 practitioners were moved to tears. They all realized that it was Master who was encouraging them. All practitioners should strengthen their righteous minds and complete the last step of their cultivation well.

[Beijing] A view of Tiananmen Square on Dec. 14th
It was cold recently and there weren't a lot of tourists on Tiananmen Square. After 12 pm, a practitioner among the crowd at the northeast side of the square distributed Dafa material. A plainclothes policeman and a man in black both immediately rushed towards the practitioner. Then a police car arrived and took him away. Almost simultaneously, a practitioner at the northwest side began distributing Dafa material. At this moment a practitioner unfurled a banner close to the Monument. Once again the man in black rushed to the old practitioner and kicked him to the ground with a flying kick. The code of this outrageous man was: 051625. Another man in black was inspecting a foreigner's camcorder and asked him to erase what he had just recorded. The military policemen and the men in black continually cross-examined the tourists on the square.
[Jin City, Changde, Hunan Province] Persecution of Some of the Falun Dafa Practitioners in Jin City, Changde, Hunan Province
Gong Dexiu, female, 45 years old, was a teacher in Changde Normal College. Gong filed an appeal to the Supreme Court of China and was thus put in a detention center on Nov. 17, 1999 and illegally detained for 15 days. Gong went to Beijing to appeal on Feb. 22, 2000 and on the 25th was escorted back to a Jin City detention house. She was detained there for 25 days before she was moved to the detention center. She was still there in October and was not released even after she went on a hunger strike for 5 days. She was released only after she was forced to run into a wall and passed out. Her husband abused her after she returned home. She had no way out but to hide in her sister's home. Her ruthless husband assisted the police in tricking her to go back to Jin City and she was thus detained once again for a month. She was released only after she went on another hunger strike.
Lu Yongzhen, female, 59 years old, was an employee of the Lacquer Factory of Jin City, Changde. She went to Beijing to safeguard the Fa on Feb. 25, 2000, and was escorted back and put into a detention house by the police of Jin City, where she was manacled together with 2 other practitioners (the other two were Xiao Chunying and Chen Fangqun) for 79 hours without food and drink. They were manacled together even when they went to the restroom. After being detained there for 1 month and 1 day, she was transferred to a detention center and detained there for 6 months and 9 days.
Li Minxiu, 60 years old, was an employee of the Jin City Radio Factory. On Feb. 28, 2000, the police interrogated her without cause and asked her "Will you go to Beijing?" Li replied "Sure". The ridiculous policemen detained her for 15 days just for this single word. After her release, she was kept under house arrest for 6 months. Since Li went to Beijing to validate the Fa on June 27th, the police detained her again for 3 months and fined her 5000 Yuan. She is still under house arrest.
Hu Xinyuan, female, 45 years old, was self-employed. The police took her away from her home on Mar. 4, 2000 and detained her for 15 days under the charge of 'disrupting social order'. They even threatened her son " If your Mom goes to Beijing, we will put you in prison next time!" They extorted 2000 Yuan from her as a pledge. They then took her to a farm and made her attend a 're-education class' for a whole month.
Hu Huiling is 40 years old. She went to Beijing to safeguard Dafa on Feb. 25 and was escorted by the police back to a detention house on Mar. 2nd . She was illegally detained there for 2 and half months. Then she was forced to attend a 're-education class' at a farm for one month. On Oct. 16th, she was found when she went to Li county, Hunan province to obtain Dafa materials and was tortured by beatings and being cursed at for one day. Then she was sent to the City Detention Center and detained there for 36 days.
Li Xuelan, 60 years old, was an employee of the Social Welfare Institute of Jin City. She went to Beijing on Mar. 1st to appeal and was fined 5000 Yuan upon her return. She was detained in a detention house for a month before she was sent to a detention center. She was detained for over a month in the detention center.

Evil deeds: Yang detained, interrogated, abused and beat Dafa practitioners on many occasions, with Shi acting as the muscleman. During interrogation, Shi endlessly abused and slapped one practitioner. He pulled the practitioner's head by the hair and bashed it against the wall once in a while. This torture lasted for almost three hours. On June 20th of this year, Yang illegally detained a Dafa practitioner and, for no reason, sentenced the practitioner to labor reeducation for 2 years. This practitioner suffered all kinds of tortures at the labor camp and was forced to jump from the second floor of a building, fracturing one leg.

Evil deeds: Led by Wu Shifan, these evil people tied up Zhang Xiaomei and He Xianggu, who are Falun Gong practitioners and nurses at the hospital, and sent them to the mental hospital of Hunan province (i.e. the brain hospital of Hunan province) at the beginning of this year. These two practitioners were forcibly administered overdoses of long-lasting toxic injections at the mental hospital, causing them psychological and physical disorders to various degrees. Evil deeds: Gao, Mei, and He conducted the so-called 'consultation' for Zhang Xiaomei and He Xianggu while Zhang and He were still detained at the detention center. They declared Zhang and He to have 'mental problems induced by superstition of wizardry' and suggested that Zhang and He be hospitalized in the mental hospital of Hunan province. They forcibly administered to Zhang and He injections of a drug for mental illness, which is used only in the treatment of serious schizophrenia. To deceive the family members of the practitioners and other outsiders, they claimed that what they administered was the drug phenobarbital, harmless to brain and body. When the practitioners went on a hunger strike in protest, vice director Guo said: "If they don't eat, let's tie them up and apply intravenous drips. We have many measures to deal with it." Currently He Xianggu is still in the hospital. It is said that there had been several Dafa practitioners previously detained at this mental hospital.
[Beijing City] Residents' Committee Tips Off Police, Dafa Practitioners Arrested While Visiting a Friend's Home
On the morning of October 27, 2000, after having fun at a park, several colleagues visited another colleague's home, located at the dormitory of the environmental sanitation bureau in Zuojiazhuang, Chaoyang district of Beijing. Soon after their arrival, the chairman of the residents' committee, along with two other people, followed them into this Dafa practitioner's home and phoned in many policemen. Five Dafa practitioners were arrested by these policemen and sent to the detention center of Chaoyang police substation. They were detained there from 6 to 27 days.
This widowed Dafa practitioner's husband had passed away a long time ago. She and her child can only depend on each other for survival. They make a very difficult living with a meager salary of only 5 to 6 hundred Yuan RMB, which is frequently delayed. Even so, the police not only arrested the five Dafa practitioners who visited her home, but also confiscated all the pictures of Teacher, her Dafa books, and the computer used for her child's studies. They even destroyed the picture of Teacher posted on the wall.
[Chongqing] Most Recent Document From Chongqing about Punishing Falun Gong Practitioners
According to sources from inside Chinese Communist Party, Chongqing has, following the direction of higher authorities, recently issued a document about how to now punish Falun Gong practitioners. The decision, made by five departments including the court, the procuratorate (Note: A special legal system in China monitoring the conduct of state officials, employees, and the like), and the public security department, specified six categories of people to be punished more severely: those who organize practitioners to go to Beijing to appeal, practice exercises in groups, or study the Fa and/or exchange experiences in a group; those who print and distribute truth-revealing flyers; those who download and/or spread Falun Gong materials from the Internet; those who persist in practicing after going through several 'transformation classes' those who were once the principal Dafa assistants and now once again emerge to organize activities; and those who do not have settled occupations and are wholly engaged in Falun Gong activities.
The decision also stressed that the trials of Falun Gong practitioners must be carefully planned and that it is not allowed to acquit the practitioners with the verdict of not guilty, otherwise, the heads of the relevant departments would be held responsible.
During the month of November, 66 practitioners from Chongqing went to Beijing to appeal. Among them there were 12 practitioners each from Jiangbei district and Tongnan county, about 10 from Pengshui County, 8 from Dazu, and 6 from Yubei district. Many of them were going to Beijing for the first time. Every local government was asked to once again update the list of active practitioners and put the potentially active practitioners under the control of the public security department. In order to guarantee a 'peaceful holiday atmosphere' for New Year's Eve and the Spring Festival, the local governments were asked to resume the 'transformation classes' prior to December 10. The goal of the classes is to 'transform' 80% of the practitioners and the other 20% that are 'really stubborn' will be put into labor camps.
The government also specified six categories of people to be 'transformed':
-those practitioners in relevant government departments and enterprises who are qualified engineers;
-those practitioners who are retired cadres;
-those practitioners who are enrolled college students;
-those practitioners who are Party members or the staff of relevant government departments and enterprises;
-those practitioners who are unemployed urban or rural residents; etc.
This is effectively attempting to force their betrayal.
[Jinan City, Shandong Province] Government Departments Brutally 'Transform' Practitioners
At the end of October, Jinan City government departments sent a lot of Dafa practitioners to a "Falun Gong Transformation Study Class" in order to put them under house arrest. Here is a report detailing the measures employed in the Transformation Class in Guodian, Lixia District.
1. Restricting the freedom of Dafa practitioners. Practitioners were forbidden to open the door in the daytime, or to lock the door during the night. No talking, no sitting on the bed, no practicing the exercises. If anyone were found violating any of these rules, he or she would be brutally beaten.
2. Interrogating practitioners, one by one, around the clock. Those practitioners who refused to "transform" would be beaten while handcuffed and with their feet fettered and forced to crawl on the ground and to make all sorts of humiliating gestures.
3. Those practitioners who went on hunger strikes and/or water strikes to protest the inhumane treatment would be tied to their beds and forcefully "nose-fed". Some were transferred to mental hospitals.
4. Illegally collecting money during the 'transformation'. Each practitioner paid 100 yuan (USD12) per day for meals, but they were actually only given pickles and vegetables. Though it was called a "transformation class", it is more like a prison and the practitioners were deprived of all freedom. Since the brutal tortures and punishments could not force the practitioners to give up practicing Falun Dafa, the various district officials began to write fake "Guarantee Letters" and "Understandings and gains after Study" in the practitioners' names, to fool the higher level officials.
On November 18th, three practitioners from Jinan City, Liu Jian, Niu Tao and Li Xiaoping (female), were arrested while clarifying the truth to the public. They began a hunger strike to protest their illegal arrest. Niu Tao and Liu Jian were locked to a "Dragon Bed" (equipment used to torture serious criminals) on the second and fourth days, respectively. They suffered a lot of tortures. Li Xiaoping would rather die than submit so she was transferred to Liuchangshan Detention Center and was locked to a "Dragon Bed" too. Other practitioners who had seen Li Xiaoping in the detention center said that they could hardly recognize her after the tortures. She could hardly move and needed three to four people to help her to walk.
Later, all these three practitioners were transferred to the Hospital of the Labor Education Bureau of Shandong Province. They had been on hunger strikes for 18 days. They were forcefully "nose-fed" during this period of time. Liu Jian experienced heart failure during this period and because his blood pressure was undetectable, he was temporarily released. At present the conditions of Niu Tao and Li Xiaoping are very serious, and we strongly call on international human rights organizations and all kind-hearted people to help them out of this dangerous situation.

[Zuozhou City, Hebei Province] Two practitioners still detained since their appeal in October
Two practitioners among those who went to Beijing to appeal on October 26th are still being detained. They are Su Shuqing and Du Xiulan. Because they refuse to surrender to the evil forces, they have, to this day, not been released. In a public trial in Zuozhou, the authorities tied them up along with the criminals being tried there.
[Wenjiang, Sichuan Province] Villager arrested while doing housework
While Zhong Sufang (female), a resident of Dukou Village Heshen Town Wenjiang County, was doing housework at home around 4pm on November 27th, Feng Yong, an instructor of Heshen Town police branch and another policeman drove a van to her house and took her away under the pretense of attending a "study class". On the same day, Zhong was transferred to Ningxia street prison of Chengdu City. Zhong had done nothing wrong and there was no legal procedure for her imprisonment. Up to now, we haven't heard of any verdict given to her, but we did hear that Zhong was filing an appeal for her illegal arrestment and jailing.
Another practitioner, Hu Yuzhen from Yucheng village, Hesheng Town, Wenjiang County, was also deceived by local police and put into the same prison.
[Liaoning Province] Some practitioners' persecution experiences and their solemn announcement
Xia Shuhua, a retiree from the 606 research Camp, went to Beijing several times to appeal, and practiced Falun Gong on Tian'an men square. She had been detained three times, and once went on a hunger strike for 6 days. She was also detained once in Ziqiang Women's School of Shenyang.
Yin, an employee of the Northeast No. 6 Pharmaceutical Factory, went to Beijing to appeal in September of last year. He was detained for 15 days and lost the right to his patent. The loss is valued at over 1 million Yuan RMB (about USD $125,000).
Wang, an employee of the Northeast Electric Power Group, appealed in Beijing in September of last year and thus lost his employment contract.
Li, a lecturer at Liaoning Administration College, went to Beijing to appeal last September. He was detained in Longshan Labor Education Center. He has been made homeless and forced to wander about.
Du, an employee of the Shenyang Dairy Company, was detained and later jailed in Longshan Labor Education Center because he appealed in Beijing last September. Du has been dismissed by his employer since.
Among seven practitioners from the Shenyang Branch of the Commercial and Industrial Bank who had been appealing and telling the truth about Dafa, some have been dismissed from the work unit; some have been detained, and some were sent to Labor Camps. Some were punished within the work unit through salary reductions. Some practitioners were driven out of their homes and forced to wander about. These practitioners used to work in the Dadong, Shenhe, and Huanggu sub-branches and the service monitoring office. (The CEO of the Bank, Di Kejian, and Party Secretary Cui Guoqing are responsible for their persecution.)
Pilot Duan and his wife, a flight attendant of Sanya branch of North China Airline were dismissed by their work unit because they practice Dafa and have been clarifying the truth to people in Beijing. Flight attendant Zhang Yan (female) was also dismissed by the Dalian branch because she was revealing the truth to people in Beijing. No one knows where Zhang Yan is now. (The general manager Jiang Lianying is responsible for the persecution.)
Li (female), an Employee of the Meteorological Center of China Airlines Administration Committee (CAAC), Northeast Air traffic Management Bureau, and her family of three, went to Beijing to appeal last September. (She brought her 7 month old baby. She was on maternity leave.) She was fined by the Public Security Department, but because the baby was so young they were released. However, her work unit later locked her in the Taoxian international airport for 15 days and forced her to write letters of resignation from the party and from her job. (Authorities responsible for the persecution: Director Zhan Xinyuan, Party General Secetary Gao Zhiqiang, Meteorological Center Party Secetary Li Jiaqiang.)
The above practitioners were forced to write the "Statement of Repentance" against their wills. They hereby announce that they would take back all the so-called "repentance statements" and that they are willing to protect Dafa with their lives.
[Miyun, Beijing]A Policeman Suddenly Died after Maliciously Beating Practitioners
At Miyun County Detention Center, an evil policeman Wu Guocai maliciously beat the practitioners who raised a banner at Tian'anmen Square. About ten minutes after the beating, Wu suddenly died in the detention center. According to some sources, he was the third policeman to suddenly die in that detention center.
[Shijiazhuan, Hebei Province] Recent news from Shijiazhuang Labor Education Camp
The Labor Education Camp has now detained about 190 practitioners, among whom more than 20 are male and 170 are female practitioners. After September 20th, the authority strengthened the crackdown against Falun Gong and there were about 70 more practitioners detained in one month. The number of detained practitioners is increasing daily. To protest the illegal suppression and to awaken the conscience of the people, Dafa practitioners have kept on hunger striking. In November, 58 practitioners were on hunger strikes. They also took advantage of every opportunity to practice the exercises in a group.
Since the number of detained practitioners far exceeds the capacity of the Labor Education Camp, the Camp is now hurrying to construct an extension to further the persecution. People of the world, please open your eyes to see what have happened to this country.
