1. Dafa promoting activities in Wellington, New Zealand
Between October 21-24, more than 30 New Zealand Dafa practitioners from Auckland, Hamilton and other cities spent their holiday promoting Dafa in Wellington, the capital of New Zealand. They took 6 cars and traveled 800 miles (1300 kilometers). Every one of them, including children and the elderly, felt happy and energetic throughout the trip.
One of the western practitioners applied for a series permit for the sites for the group exercises and Dafa promotion. We spent our first day in front of the Parliament Building, distributing Falun Dafa brochures and information packages. Many residents there were interested and did the exercises with us.
On the second and third days, we went to the Chinese Embassy, appealing to the Chinese government to stop the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. We handed out Dafa materials to people passing by so that they would know the real story of what had happened in China. Embassy officers across the road shouted at us with foul language and came over to take close-up pictures of us. We realized this was just a test of our forbearance. We simply told them not to create more karma for themselves.

2. Dafa promoting activities in Basel, Switzerland
At around 1:30PM on October 14, we hung up a yellow banner with the words "Falun Dafa" at Barfuesse Square, the downtown area of Basel. Under the banner, more than 50 Dafa practitioners of different races and ages from Switzerland started the Dafa promotion activities.
Our peaceful and tranquil exercises clearly stood out from the city's noisy and busy traffic atmosphere. Many people were impressed while watching our activities and came right over to obtain Dafa materials. Some of them, after thoroughly reading our appealing letter and viewing photos showing the brutal torture that practitioners had received in China, sincerely signed their names and address to show support.
Some people were interested and asked many questions, i.e., "Was Falun Gong introduced by the CIA to overthrow the Chinese government?" "Does Falun Gong have any relationship with drugs?" One of our practitioners answered the questions by discussing his personal experience. As a matter of fact, he successfully quit his drug addictions only after learning the Falun Dafa practice.
When a tourist from South Africa learned that Falun Dafa had been introduced to his country, he was very pleased and said, "Our country needs this kind of peace!"

3. Dafa promotion during International Cultural Festivals in the Mariana Islands
On October 21 and 22, the annual Mariana Islands International Cultural Festival was held at Saipan Island. In addition to business groups from China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, Hawaii, Micronesia Islands etc., there were also art-performing groups from Hawaii and Thailand. Despite the difficulties we experienced, after introducing Dafa to the festival organizer with kindness and patience, we were notified we could attend the festivals planned several days ahead. We thus rented a stand to introduce Dafa to the people there. We also received permission to give a demonstration of the five sets of exercises.
Reporters from two local newspapers and Thailand media came to take pictures and report our activities. In addition to answering their detailed questions about Falun Gong, we also told them the current situation in China. They all disagreed with the Chinese government's persecution of Falun Gong. Upon his leaving, a Thailand reporter said loudly to all of us, "Now, I am able to understand you!" Two days later, the pictures appeared on the front page in local newspapers.
It was the peak time in the evening when we demonstrated the five sets of exercises on stage. The peaceful music and smooth exercises received warm applause. We could feel even more the benevolence of our Teacher, the power of Dafa, and the sacredness of dissolving into the Fa and playing the role of a Dafa particle.
Many local residents contacted us after the festival and expressed their interest in learning the exercises. Dafa promotion during the cultural festival thus brought many opportunities for people to get to know Dafa. We also believe that more and more people will learn Dafa in the future.

4. Candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy in Sydney; Sydney police help to distribute Dafa materials
October 26 marked the anniversary of Jiang Zemin's outlawing Falun Gong as a "xx". Nearly 200 practitioners came to the Chinese Embassy, the window to China, and held a candlelight vigil in front of the embassy. It was to protest Jiang Zemin's brutal persecution of Falun Gong, and to memorialize those practitioners who had been tortured to death since the inhuman crackdown began.
Several media, including Reuters etc., came and reported the entire vigil activities. A Falun Dafa speaker gave a speech on the monstrous crimes that Jiang Zemin had committed during the past year's persecution of Falun Gong. This speech became the focus of the reporters' attention.
Various solemn wreaths and lit candles made people realize that, more innocent lives were lost as the Chinese government continued their human rights violations. People in Australia cherish their life over anything else. People will undoubtedly ask, "What on earth is Falun Gong?" What made Jiang Zemin and his cronies start such a brutal attack?
An on-duty policeman nearby patiently explained to passersby about Falun Gong based on his knowledge. A moment later, he came to us and said, "Please give me some materials to distribute. I will help you clarify the truth to people." We were so moved upon hearing this. Through the past year's contact with Falun Dafa practitioners, Australian police have started to know Falun Gong. They now trust our Dafa practitioners and even actively provide help. This represents the verification of Dafa in the human world as well as what should be every good policeman's duty and behavior. Thinking of this, we can't help asking the Chinese police that have acted as Jiang Zemin's hatchet men who dealt with the kind-hearted Dafa practitioners daily during the past year, "Where is your conscience?"
Over the past year, Sydney practitioners have a much better understanding of Dafa. More and more practitioners have stepped forward to spread Dafa. Today's activity was spontaneously proposed by some practitioners. Most practitioners came here after work. Some brought their children, and drove one or two hours before getting here. They all stayed until very late. Everyone felt the urgency for us to "spread the Fa and offer people salvation with compassion".

5. Falun Gong practitioners were invited to attend the annual "Health Day" at NASA
October 18 is the annual "Health Day" for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) located in Houston. Organizers of this activity invited nearly one hundred associations and groups to participate. Lockheed, the biggest aeronautic military company in the world, invited Falun Gong practitioners for a demonstration of Falun Gong. The persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang Zemin let more people from the main stream of US society get to know about it.
On that day, many employees came to our exhibition area and showed interest. Many of them took Dafa materials and registered for the Dafa introductory workshop. A sports coach who traveled a long way for the "Health Day" had studied Buddhism and many Qigong systems before. He liked Falun Gong very much. When we gave him the exercise videotape and some other Dafa materials, he was very thankful and showed his appreciation by putting his palms together (Heshi). A senior engineer used to do some other Qigong systems. He told us that he could feel a strong energy flow around us. He said he would like to start learning Falun Gong and borrowed the exercise videotape. Some employees also liked the graceful exercises and the fact that the teaching is free. They said it was hard to understand the China government's persecution of Falun Gong, since it's ruining its own traditional culture.
The organizer was very satisfied with our exhibition and hoped we would come again next year. In such a country with the freedom of belief, people with conscience have realized that, it is the persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang Zemin and his followers that is really "Against science, against society and against the human race."
