Many Dafa practitioners from Xinjiang Province have got rid of their attachments in the past month or so and stepped forward to expose the evil and tell the truth to the people. Every practitioner used their wisdom and rationality to distribute Dafa materials to the masses. Some practitioners put several pieces of Dafa materials on vegetable stacks when buying vegetable in a grocery store, on shelves when shopping in supermarkets, in buses, and in residential buildings. Some practitioners post Dafa materials in public places, government office buildings and working units. During the last month, only a small number of these practitioners were arrested by police.
In addition, this is a reminder to practitioners from Wulumuqi to pay attention to safety when posting Dafa materials at night. Police take turns at night to keep watch on passersby. Residential committee members in every residential area take turns to keep watch on any movements at night.

Beijing Dafa practitioner Xie Wen, younger than 16 years old, was dragged into a police van when displaying a Dafa banner on Tiananmen Square. She guarded the banner with her life and then held it tightly until it was taken away forcefully by a villain at the Tiananmen Square Police Station. She was sent to Miyun county detention center and was asked to squat down outside. It was very cold at night. The police on duty was kind-hearted and said, "You can come inside to sit for a while." Then she went in and had a sound sleep on a chair.

A 50-year-old female Dafa practitioner from Xinjiang Province is the doctor of a hospital; she was arrested when she went to Beijing to appeal on March 5, 2000, and was escorted back to her hometown. She was detained in the police station for 15 days. After released, she was sent back to her working unit, but was not allowed to do her original job. She was requested to plant trees and was paid only 400 RMB Yuan (about $47) per month for her basic living expenses. Later, she was detained again because police thought she would go to Beijing. Recently, she has requested many times to go home but was refused by police. Police claimed: "If you want to go home, you must write a pledge not to practice Falun Gong. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to go home."

There are 76 Dafa practitioners detained in the Jiamusi Detention Center. Most of them were detained because of going to appeal on October 1, and some of them were arrested for distributing materials that tell the truth of Dafa. These practitioners are detained for unlimited terms. Some Dafa practitioners are on hunger strikes because the guards at the detention center confiscated their Dafa books. The longest hunger strike has already lasted for 10 days.
In recent days, about 400,000-500,000 pieces of Dafa materials have been distributed in this city and its surrounding areas. The materials telling the truth of Dafa are now everywhere and every one knows.
