Varieties of Falun Dafa Introductory Workshops

The workshops started in Moscow. Practitioners utilized the free space provided by bookstores that carry Dafa books to introduce Dafa to customers that were visiting the bookstores. They played the Falun Gong teaching videotapes and practitioners talked about their cultivation experiences. This method was introduced to other practitioners at the All-Russia Experience Sharing Conference, and practitioners in other regions added new ways of presenting the workshop; the methods of spreading the Fa became better and better. Veteran practitioners from Petersburg found their own spaces for the workshops, printed advertisements, and distributed them at the subway stations nearby. They sent out 120 advertisements in one day. Since the workshop was held in a residential area, as many as 30 people showed up for it. Practitioners introduced Dafa in detail to the people, and they also read the experience articles that had been presented at the Experience Sharing Conference. Workshop attendants listened carefully, and did not want to leave after the two-hour session. They asked the practitioners to tell them more about Dafa. One or two practitioners can hold a workshop like this, and the outcome is quite good.

Dafa Promotion and Truth Clarification

Practitioners showed the nine-day lecture videotapes. They wanted to show the newcomers the tapes that clarify the truth about Falun Dafa so that they would know more about the Dafa from the current situation in China. They did not know for sure whether it would be appropriate or how the new practitioners would react to the materials. They eventually did it, and the outcome was very good. The new practitioners were able to face the issues in China from the viewpoint of the Fa. Since then, the new practitioners have actively participated in Dafa promotion and protection.

There is another story. A delegation of three people from China came to Russia to inspect a business project; our practitioners were responsible for receiving the delegation. Practitioners told them the truth about Falun Dafa, and they all listened attentively. One of them was the department chief in their workplace. He cut in and said, "Jiang Zemin is a lunatic," and "The entire Chinese race will have bad luck because of him." This department chief also wanted to learn the exercises after hearing the truth, and he also asked for a Chinese version of Zhuan Falun, which according to him is very hard to find in China. The practitioner asked him, "Are you not afraid that you will be arrested for having the book on you?" He relied firmly, "No. I am not afraid at all." This is an example that one travels 10,000 miles to attain the Fa.
