Shortly after the recent Experience Sharing Conference in San Francisco, a practitioner visited a university professor who had nominated Mr. Li Hongzhi for the 2000 Nobel Peace Prize (NPP). When informed that Mr. Li Hongzhi himself had attended and lectured at the conference, the professor was delighted, and he expressed his intention to continue to support Master Li and Falun Gong.
This professor has been engaging in research regarding relations between China and the United States, and he is familiar with Chinese history and culture. Last year, when a practitioner explained the principles of the Fa to him, he already seemed to have a great deal of understanding about Falun Gong. He knew instinctively that China's suppression of Falun Gong was based completely on political motives. Heartily sympathizing with the struggle of practitioners in China, he also admired Mr. Li Hongzhi's infinite compassion and his willingness to freely and unconditionally benefit mankind. In addition to nominating Master Li for the Nobel Peace prize, he also introduced Falun Gong to other professors. To the best of my knowledge, one of these professors also offered a nomination.
In the United States and all over the world, more and more compassionate people are coming to understand and support Falun Gong, as they believe firmly that righteousness will always triumph over evil.
