According to the news from England, following the proposal by Ms. Susie Taylor, the University Students' Union at Trinity College is preparing a rally that will soon take place in Dublin. The theme of the rally will be "Release Zhao Ming".
Zhao Ming, a 30 year old male research student from the Computer Science Department at Trinity College, University of Dublin, is a Falun Gong practitioner. Zhao went back to Beijing in January to appeal to a number of government institutions on behalf of Falun Gong. However the police confiscated his passport without reason and sent him to his hometown, Changchun, Jilin Province. It is now known that he had been "labor-educated" for a lengthy period of time in Daxing County men's labor camp in Beijing, and he had been tortured physically and mentally. Zhao Ming's encounter and those of thousands of other honorable citizen's contrast sharply with and make a mockery of Jiang Zemin's boast that this is the "Best Era for human rights in Chinese history".
